Electrical Safety:

• Turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning, maintenance, or moving.

• When unplugging, always hold the plug firmly and pull it from the wall outlet. Avoid pulling on the cord itself.

• Do not submerge any part of the appliance in water or other liquids.

Operational Safety:

• Exercise caution as the surfaces of the appliance may become hot during operation.

• Do not cover the air inlet and outlet openings while the appliance is in operation.

• Do not fill the frying pan with oil, as this may create a fire hazard.

• Never touch the inside of the appliance when it is on.

• During hot air frying, hot steam is released from the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face away from the steam and air outlet openings.

• Be careful of hot steam and air when removing the frying container from the appliance.

• Immediately unplug the appliance if dark smoke is emitted. Before removing the frying container, wait until no more smoke escapes.

Before using your AMICA AFM 6020 for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Remove all packaging materials.

2. Wash the frying container and grate thoroughly in warm water using dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge.

3. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth.

4. The air fryer cooks by hot air circulation, so you should not pour oil or frying fat directly into the frying container.

5. Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface in a well-ventilated room, ensuring the power cord can reach a wall socket. Do not place it near any flammable substances.

6. Before first use, heat the appliance without food for 10 minutes.

Note: It is normal for a new fryer to emit a slight smoke or odour during the initial use. This does not compromise safety.

Using the Control Panel:

1. To turn on the appliance, plug it into a power outlet and press the “MENU” button to select a function. Keep tapping the “MENU” button until you reach the desired function.

2. The indicator of the selected function will flash, while other function indicators will light up steadily. The display will alternately show the default duration and temperature for the function.

3. After selecting a function, touch “TIME/TEMP” to choose the time and temperature setting.

4. Use the “+” and “-” buttons to adjust the time and temperature.

5. Touch “START/CANCEL” to begin cooking. Touch the button again to stop the appliance.

Cooking Process:

1. Pull out the frying container and place the food on the rack inside it.

2. Insert the container into the appliance.

3. Turn on the appliance, select your desired function and settings, and touch START/CANCEL to begin.

4. Once cooking is complete, the appliance will beep and the display will show “End.” Grasp the handle of the frying container with one hand while holding the top of the appliance with the other and gently pull the container out. Place the frying container on a stable surface.

5. During cooking, it is recommended to remove the container and stir or turn the food ingredients halfway through the cooking time (or multiple times as needed) for even frying. After returning the container to the appliance, it will resume operation, and the remaining cooking time will be displayed.

Note: If the frying container is not inserted fully, the display will show “OPEN” and the appliance will not operate. Ensure it is fully inserted. The appliance remembers its last settings for 10 minutes, so you can remove the container to stir food, and it will resume its previous cooking mode when re-inserted.

The following table provides helpful tips on frying settings for different types of food. Please note that these settings are indicative only and you may need to experiment to find the best results for your specific ingredients.

Instructions:

• Factors such as thickness, quantity, and whether the food is fully defrosted can affect frying time. Frying smaller portions will reduce cooking time.

• To ensure even cooking, take the container out and shake the food halfway through the frying time.

To switch the temperature unit on your AMICA AFM 6020, follow these steps:

1. Put the appliance in standby mode.

2. Select “MENU”.

3. Press and hold the “TIME/TEMP” and “KEEP WARM” buttons simultaneously to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

To select the beep loudness on your AMICA AFM 6020:

1. Put the appliance in standby mode.

2. After selecting “MENU,” press and hold the “KEEP WARM” and “REHEAT” buttons simultaneously to select the desired beep loudness.

To ensure the longevity and performance of your AMICA AFM 6020, follow these cleaning and care instructions:

• To avoid burns, only clean the appliance when it has completely cooled down.

• To prevent damage to the coating, promptly clean the frying container and rack after each use to remove food residues and oil stains.

• Wash the frying container and rack with warm water and a mild detergent.

• Do not use strong detergents, as they can damage the appliance and pose health risks.

• Wipe down the appliance using a clean, soft cloth. Do not use an excessively damp cloth, as this can allow water to get inside and lead to a short circuit or fire.

• To protect the appliance from scratches, avoid using sharp objects like wire brushes during cleaning.

• Do not wash the appliance or its parts in a dishwasher. This can cause damage to the appliance and affect its performance.
