To ensure safe operation of your AMICA KH 17382 E cooker hood, please follow these guidelines:

• The cooker hood is designed to remove cooking odours. Do not use it for other purposes.

• Do not leave an open flame under the hood. When removing pots from a gas burner, set the flame to its minimum.

• Always monitor food being cooked in fat, as overheated fat can ignite easily.

• Never use the hood without the grating effectively mounted.

• The flaming of foods beneath the hood is strictly prohibited.

• Before any cleaning or repair, disconnect the appliance from the mains by pulling the plug or switching off the two-pole switch.

• Check that the voltage on the rating plate corresponds to your local power supply.

• Before installation, unwind and straighten the power cord.

• Packaging materials like plastic bags should be kept away from children.

• Ensure the power cord is not trapped by the appliance during installation.

• If other non-electric devices (e.g., liquid fuel ovens) are used in the same room, provide appropriate ventilation.

• Do not abut against the hood.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless they have been given supervision.

• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

In the air extractor mode, the AMICA KH 17382 E discharges air to the outside through a special conduit. Follow these steps for installation:

1. Any existing carbon filters must be removed.

2. The hood should be connected to the air-discharging opening using a rigid or flexible conduit with a diameter of 120 mm or 150 mm.

3. The total length of the duct should not exceed 4-5 meters.

4. The appliance must not be connected to smoke or flue gas ducts that are in use.

5. It is recommended that a qualified installer performs the connection.

In this mode, filtered air returns to the room through openings in the front of the hood. An extractor duct is not required.

1. A carbon filter must be installed for this option.

2. It is recommended to install the air guide (availability depends on the model).

3. In some universal hood models, you may need to switch a lever inside the hood to change between extraction and air recirculation modes.

Your AMICA KH 17382 E may have one of two types of control panels. Please refer to the one that matches your appliance.

Control Panel Type 1:

• Power switch: Touch this symbol to turn the power on and off.

• Speed Controls: Touch the symbols for Low speed, Medium speed, or High speed.

• Lamp on / off: Touch this symbol to control the light.

• Clock/timer:

– To set the clock: When the power is off, touch and hold the clock symbol for 6 seconds. The hour will flash. Use the high-speed symbol to increase the hour and the low-speed symbol to decrease it. Press the clock symbol again to make the minute flash, and adjust it using the speed symbols. Press the clock symbol a third time to finish.

– To set the timer: When the motor is running, touch the clock symbol. A 15-minute delay will count down on the display, after which the appliance will automatically stop. You can cancel the delay by touching the symbol again.

Control Panel Type 2 (Standby Mode):

After connecting to the power supply, touch the power symbol. The display lights up red, and the hood is in standby mode.

• Light: Touch the light symbol to turn the light on and off. Lighting operates independently.

• – Sensor: Reduces motor speed by one level.

• + Sensor: Increases motor speed by one level.

• P Sensor (Booster): Activates the Booster (Turbo) function. It automatically disables after approximately 6 minutes, and the hood speed changes to level 1. If you need to use the Booster function again, wait approximately 30 minutes to prevent the motor’s anti-overheating protection from activating.

• Hood Off Delay: During operation, this sensor activates the off delay. The hood will continue to run for approximately 15 minutes to clear remaining fumes and then turn off automatically. This does not turn off the lighting.

• Setting the Clock (in Standby Mode): Touch and hold the delay sensor for about 3 seconds. The hour digits will flash. Use the `+` and `-` sensors to set the desired hour. Touch the delay sensor symbol again; the minute digits will flash. Use `+` and `-` to set the minute. Touch the delay symbol again to confirm the time.

• Lowest and medium speeds: Use under normal conditions and with a low concentration of fumes.

• Maximum speed: Use in cases of high concentration of kitchen fumes, such as during frying or grilling.

Regular maintenance ensures faultless operation and extends the life of your AMICA KH 17382 E.

General Hood Cleaning:

• Use a damp cloth and a neutral detergent.

• Do not use a soaked cloth, sponge, or water jet.

• Do not use solvents or alcohol, as they may tarnish lacquered surfaces.

• Do not use caustic substances, especially for cleaning stainless steel.

• Do not use a rough or abrasive cloth.

Aluminium Grease Filter:

• For normal operation, the aluminium grease filter should be cleaned every month.

• It can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand using a mild detergent or liquid soap.

• Note: The colour of aluminium filters may change after several washings. This is normal and does not require filter replacement.

Charcoal Filter (Recirculation Version Only):

• Carbon filters are used only when the hood is not connected to a ventilation duct.

• They cannot be washed or regenerated.

• They should be replaced at least every 2 months, or more frequently in case of very intensive use.

Recycling the Packaging:

The packaging is made of environmentally friendly, reusable materials:

• The external packaging is made of cardboard/foil.

• The shape is made of FCKW-free foamed polystyrene (PS).

• Foils and bags are made of polyethylene (PE).

Disposal of the Appliance:

When the AMICA KH 17382 E is no longer in use, it should be disposed of correctly to protect the environment. This appliance is marked with a symbol of a crossed-out waste container, indicating it should not be disposed of with other household waste. The user is obliged to dispose of the appliance at a waste collection point authorized by the local authority. Correct handling of used electrical and electronic equipment is vital to avoid damage to the natural environment.
