Turn off and unplug the appliance from power when not in use and before cleaning, maintenance, or moving.

When unplugging the appliance, always hold the plug firmly and pull it from the wall outlet, avoiding pulling on the cord itself. If needed, use your other hand to hold the socket.

Exercise caution as the surfaces of the appliance may become hot during operation.

Do not submerge any part of the appliance in water or other liquids.

Do not cover the air inlet and outlet openings while the appliance is in operation.

Do not fill the frying pan with oil as this may create a fire hazard.

Never touch the inside of the appliance when it is on.

Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces.

During hot air frying, hot steam is released from the air outlet openings. Keep your hands and face away from steam and air outlet openings. When removing the frying container from the appliance, be careful of hot steam and air.

Immediately unplug the appliance from power if dark smoke is emitted. Before removing the frying container, wait until no more smoke escapes from the appliance.

Do NOT operate this appliance using an external timer or a separate remote control system.

Before the first use of your AMICA AFM 2020, follow these steps:

Remove all packaging materials.

Wash the frying container with the grate thoroughly in warm water using dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge.

Wipe the exterior surfaces of the appliance with a damp cloth.

Because the fat-free air fryer cooks by hot air circulation, you should not pour oil or frying fat directly into the frying container.

Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface to ensure the power cord reaches the wall socket. Ensure that the appliance is used in a well-ventilated room and do not place it near any flammable substances.

Before first use, heat the appliance without food for 10 minutes.

Note: It’s expected for a new appliance to emit a slight smoke or odor during the initial use. This is a normal occurrence and doesn’t compromise safety.

To operate your AMICA AFM 2020, follow these steps:

1. Preheat your air fryer before cooking. To do this, connect the appliance to a power outlet, adjust the temperature control to 200°C, and set the timer to 3-5 minutes.

2. After preheating, carefully hold the top of the appliance with one hand and pull out the frying container using its handle with your other hand. Place the frying container on a stable surface.

3. Place ingredients on the removable mesh insert at the bottom of the frying container.

4. Push the frying container back into the appliance and then, use the temperature and timer knobs to set your desired cooking temperature and time.

Note: The appliance incorporates a safety mechanism. The appliance will not begin operation unless the frying container is fully and correctly inserted, ensuring the microswitch is activated. Fully insert the frying container into the appliance to resolve this.

5. Once you hear the beep indicating that frying is complete, unplug the appliance. Carefully take out the frying container and place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Use tongs or chopsticks to lift out the cooked food and serve.

After using the appliance, never place the frying container on a heat-sensitive surface. Always place the frying container on a suitable heat-resistant surface or mat.

Be careful to avoid scalding by steam or tipping over the frying basket, which may result in burns from hot oil or food. It is recommended to use a spatula, tongs, or other kitchen utensils to take out the food.

For even cooking, it is recommended to carefully remove the frying container halfway through the cooking time and shake it gently. This shaking action helps to cook your food evenly, resulting in better texture and flavor.

Be careful when turning hot food. To avoid injury or damage to property, do not turn food by shaking the appliance.

To avoid burns, only clean the appliance when it cools down completely.

To prevent damage to the coating, promptly clean the frying container and mesh rack after each use to remove food residues and oil stains.

Wash the frying container and mesh rack with warm water and a mild detergent.

Do not use strong detergents or rough sponges for cleaning to avoid damage to the appliance and health risks.

Wipe down the appliance using a clean, soft cloth. To prevent water from getting inside the appliance, do not clean it with an excessively damp cloth, which can lead to a short circuit and fire.
