You will need the following tools to fit the ALLEN & HEATH AB1608-RK19 rack ears:
T20 Torx driver
Large flat blade screwdriver
What must be done before fitting the ALLEN & HEATH AB1608-RK19 rack ears?
Before fitting the rack ears, ensure the AB168 AudioRack is powered down and all cables are disconnected. Also, make sure you have a clean workspace to prevent scratching or damaging the surface of the unit.
How do I prepare the AB168 AudioRack for the installation of the ALLEN & HEATH AB1608-RK19 rack ears?
To prepare the AB168 AudioRack, remove the side bumpers using a T20 Torx driver. It is recommended to store the bumpers and their screws in case they need to be refitted in the future. The handle does not need to be removed.
How do I attach the ALLEN & HEATH AB1608-RK19 rack ears to the AB168 AudioRack?
Secure the rack ears to the sides of the AB168 AudioRack with the four provided M4x8 pan Torx screws using a T20 Torx driver. Note that the right rack ear is wider than the left one to allow access to the side connectors on the AB168 AudioRack.
How do I install the AB168 AudioRack into a rack after fitting the ALLEN & HEATH AB1608-RK19 ears?
The minimum rack space required for the AB168 AudioRack is 4U. Position the AB168 in the 19″ rack and secure it using suitable rack screws.
What are the ventilation requirements when installing the AB168 AudioRack with the ALLEN & HEATH AB1608-RK19?
To prevent damage from overheating, ensure that the air flow around the ventilation slots at the sides and back of the AB168 AudioRack is not obstructed. Keep these areas clear when flight casing, installing, or operating the device. Blocking or obstructing the ventilation slots may cause damage to the device.
