To prevent death, injury, or property damage, follow these instructions:

Installation and Power:

• Installation must be performed according to the installation instructions. Improper installation can cause water leakage, electrical shock, or fire.

• Use only the included accessories and parts, and specified tools for the installation.

• Ensure the outlet you are using is grounded and has the appropriate voltage. The power cord has a three-prong grounding plug for shock protection. Voltage information is on the nameplate.

• Your unit must be used in a properly grounded wall receptacle. If your wall receptacle is not adequately grounded or protected by a time delay fuse or circuit breaker, have a qualified electrician install the proper receptacle.

• Install the unit on a flat, sturdy surface to avoid damage, excessive noise, and vibration.

• Do not modify the length of the power cord or use an extension cord.

• Do not share a single outlet with other electrical appliances to prevent fire or electrical shock.

Operation:

• Do not install the air conditioner in a wet room like a bathroom or laundry room, as water exposure can short circuit electrical components.

• Ensure a minimum of 36″ clearance around the unit, away from any combustible items.

• The exhaust hose must always be used and should never be covered or blocked, which can become a fire hazard.

• The unit has wheels for moving. Do not use the wheels on thick carpet or roll over objects to prevent tipping.

• Do not operate a unit that has been dropped or damaged.

• Do not place the unit close to any other heat-generating appliances.

• Do not touch the unit with wet or damp hands or when barefoot.

• If the unit is knocked over, turn it off and unplug it immediately. Visually inspect for damage and contact customer service if needed.

• During a thunderstorm, cut off the power to avoid damage from lightning.

• Use the air conditioner in a way that protects it from moisture (e.g., condensation, splashed water). Do not place or store it where it can fall or be pulled into water.

• The unit’s circuit board (PCB) is designed with a T 3.15A/250V fuse for overcurrent protection.

• When not using the water drainage function, keep the upper and lower drain plugs firmly in place.

Maintenance and User Safety:

• This appliance is not for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised.

• Children must be supervised around the unit at all times.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified person.

• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply before cleaning or maintenance.

• Never use this appliance if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged.

• Do not run the power cord under carpeting or cover it with throw rugs or runners. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas to prevent tripping.

• Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord, plug, power fuse, or circuit breaker.

• To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.

• The appliance must be installed according to national wiring regulations.

• Do not cover or obstruct the inlet or outlet grilles.

• Do not use this product for functions other than those described in the instruction manual.

• Before cleaning, turn off the power and unplug the unit.

• Disconnect power if you notice strange sounds, smells, or smoke.

• Do not press buttons on the control panel with anything other than your fingers.

• Do not operate or stop the unit by inserting or pulling out the power cord plug.

• Do not use hazardous chemicals to clean the unit. Do not use in the presence of inflammable substances like alcohol, insecticides, petrol, etc.

• Always transport your air conditioner in a vertical position and stand it on a stable, level surface during use.

• Turn off the product when not in use.

WARNING: Flammable Refrigerant R32 is used within the air conditioner.

• The appliance must be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources (e.g., open flames, an operating gas appliance, or an operating electric heater).

• Do not pierce or burn the unit.

• Be aware that the refrigerants may not contain an odor.

SAFETY COMPLIANCE:

• Keep ventilation openings clear of obstruction.

• Store the appliance so as to prevent mechanical damage.

• Store the appliance in a well-ventilated area where the room size corresponds to the room area specified for operation.

• Any person involved with working on a refrigerant circuit must hold a current valid certificate from an industry-accredited assessment authority.

• Servicing shall only be performed as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

• No open fire or device that may generate sparks/arcing shall be around the air conditioner to avoid ignition of the flammable refrigerant.

• Follow instructions carefully to handle, install, clean, and service the air conditioner to avoid any damage or hazard. The refrigerant (R32) must be recovered properly and not discharged directly to the air.

Your installation location should meet the following requirements:

• Install your unit on an even surface to minimize noise and vibration.

• The unit must be installed near a grounded plug, and the Collection Tray Drain on the back of the unit must be accessible.

• The unit should be located at least 30cm (12″) from the nearest wall to ensure proper air conditioning.

• The horizontal louver blade should be at least 50cm (19.7″) away from obstacles.

• DO NOT cover the Intakes, Outlets, or Remote Signal Receptor of the unit, as this could cause damage.

To ensure proper function, DO NOT overextend or bend the hose. Make sure that there is no obstacle around the air outlet of the exhaust hose (in the range of 19.7 inches) so the exhaust system works properly.

Follow these steps for window installation:

Step 1: Exhaust hose assembly installation

Press one end of the exhaust hose into the window slider adapter and the other end onto the unit adapter. The adapters will clamp automatically with elastic.

Step 2: Preparing the adjustable window slider

1. Measure the window opening where the kit will be installed.

2. Assemble Slider A to Slider B and Slider C for large windows. If the window opening is smaller than the length of Slider A, you can cut it to size. Be careful not to cut into the window slider adapter cutout.

3. Use the window slider bolts to secure the sliders at the correct length.

Step 3: Complete sealing of window

Cut the adhesive foam seal A and B strips to the proper lengths and attach them to the window sash and frame as shown for either a hung or sliding window.

Step 4 & 5: Window installation (Hung or Sliding)

1. Insert the window slider assembly into the window opening.

2. Cut the non-adhesive foam seal C strip to match the width (for hung windows) or height (for sliding windows) of the window. Insert the seal between the glass and the window frame to prevent air and insects from entering.

3. If desired, install the security bracket with 2 screws as shown.

Step 6: Install the exhaust hose assembly to the unit

Slide the exhaust hose into the exhaust air outlet opening of the unit along the lower groove, making sure to catch the hook into the hook seat. Ensure the unit adapter is fully inserted into the lower groove of the air outlet.

Step 7: Connect the exhaust hose assembly to the window

Insert the window slider adapter into the cutout of the window slider.

Here are the functions of the control panel buttons:

1. POWER / WIRELESS button: Press to turn the unit on or off. To activate wireless connection mode, press and hold for 3 seconds until ‘AP’ appears on the display.

2. MODE button: Selects the operating mode in the sequence: AUTO, COOL, DRY, FAN. The corresponding LED indicator will light up.

3. UP and DOWN buttons: Adjusts temperature settings in 1°F/1°C increments or the Timer setting in a range of 0-24 hours. Press and hold both simultaneously for 3 seconds to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius.

4. DISPLAY WINDOW: Shows the temperature in °C or °F and the Auto-timer settings.

5. TIMER button: Initiates the AUTO ON start time and AUTO OFF stop time program, in conjunction with the UP & DOWN buttons.

6. SWING/VENT button: Press to start the louver moving. Press again to stop the louver in the desired direction.

7. Continuous FAN mode button: Controls the fan speed. Press to select between LOW, MED, HIGH, and AUTO. In COOL or DRY mode, press and hold for 3 seconds to turn the constant fan function on or off.

8. SLEEP mode / Reset Filter button: Press to activate SLEEP mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds to reset the filter reminder light after cleaning.

AUTO mode:

• The unit automatically selects cooling or fan-only operation depending on the selected temperature and the room temperature.

• The air conditioner controls the room temperature automatically to the set point.

• You cannot select the fan speed in AUTO mode.

COOL mode:

• Press the UP and DOWN buttons to select your desired room temperature (60°F-86°F / 16°C-30°C).

• Press the FAN button to choose the fan speed.

DRY mode:

• The unit operates as a dehumidifier. The fan speed and temperature cannot be adjusted; the fan motor operates at AUTO speed.

FAN mode:

• Press the FAN button to choose the fan speed.

• The temperature cannot be adjusted.

• Do not attach the exhaust hose (duct) to the window in this mode.

When in SLEEP mode, the selected temperature will increase (in cooling mode) by 1°C/2°F (or 1°F) for 30 minutes. The temperature will then increase by another 1°C/2°F (or 1°F) after an additional 30 minutes. This new temperature will be maintained for 7 hours before the unit returns to the originally selected temperature, ending Sleep mode. This feature is unavailable in FAN or DRY mode.

I SENSE FEATURE:

The remote control acts as a thermostat, sending temperature signals to the air conditioner every 3 minutes for precise temperature control. It requires the remote to be within 26 feet of the indoor unit. This feature is not available in DRY and FAN mode. Changing modes or turning off the unit disables it.

AUTO RESTART:

In the event of a power outage, the air conditioner restarts at the previously set function mode and settings when power is restored.

COMPRESSOR LOCK OUT:

This unit is optimized for an ambient temperature of 64°F-90°F. If the unit is turned off and on quickly, the compressor has an automatic 3-minute time-delayed start to prevent overheating and circuit breaker tripping.

The remote control uses two AAA batteries.

1. Slide the back cover from the remote downward to expose the battery compartment.

2. Insert the batteries, ensuring you match the (+) and (-) symbols on the batteries with the symbols inside the compartment.

3. Slide the battery cover back into place.

Notes:

• The air conditioner will not respond if curtains, doors, or other materials block the signal from the remote.

• Prevent any liquid from contacting the remote. Do not expose it to direct sunlight or heat.

• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types.

• Do not leave the batteries in the remote if it will not be used for more than two months.

When the internal drain pan is full, the unit will beep 8 times and the display will show the error code “P1”. The air conditioning will stop, but the fan may continue to run. Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before draining.

A. Manual Drain Plug:

Remove the lower manual drain plug and allow the collected condensation to drain completely into a shallow external container. Replace the drain plug firmly to ensure a tight fit and prevent leaks.

B. Continuous Gravity Drain (for Dry mode):

Remove the upper drain plug and attach the included drain hose. Place the open end of the hose over a suitable drain (e.g., basement floor drain, sink). Ensure there are no kinks or bends in the hose and that it runs straight down toward the floor. This drain is activated by gravity only.

Safety First: Always unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing.

Unit Cleaning:

• Clean the cabinet with a lukewarm damp cloth and neutral detergent.

• Dry the cabinet with a lint-free dry cloth.

• Do not use gasoline, paint thinner, or other chemicals. Do not wash the unit under a tap or with a hose, as it may cause electrical damage.

Air Filters:

The two washable air filters should be cleaned every two weeks for efficient performance.

1. Switch off the air conditioner.

2. Press down on the two tabs to release the upper and lower air intake grilles.

3. Use a vacuum cleaner or tap lightly to remove loose dust and dirt.

4. Rinse the filters thoroughly under warm running water (no hotter than 100°F).

5. Dry thoroughly before re-inserting the filters.

Carbon Filter:

The Activated Carbon filter removes smoke and other odors. It is recommended to replace it every 2-3 months or as needed.

P1 – Water tray is full. Attach a drain hose and drain the excess water.

If any of the following error codes appear, unplug the air conditioner and let it sit for 5 minutes. If the error persists when plugged back in, please contact Whynter Customer Support.

EH60 – Room temperature sensor error.

EH61 – Evaporator temperature sensor error.

EC52 – Condenser temperature sensor error.

EH0b – Display panel communication error.

ELOC – Refrigerant leakage detection malfunction.

1. Drain the unit’s water collection tray completely.

2. Run the appliance on FAN mode for 12 hours in a warm room to dry it and prevent mold.

3. Turn off the appliance and unplug it.

4. Clean the appliance surfaces with a soft, damp cloth.

5. Clean the air filter, let it dry completely, and then reinstall it.

6. Remove the batteries from the remote control.

Store the unit in a cool, dark place. Exposure to direct sunlight or extreme heat can shorten its lifespan.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

• Power failure/outage: Restore the power supply.

• The automatic switch, line fuse, or breaker has been tripped: Flip the switch, change the fuse, or turn the breaker back on. Note that too many appliances on one circuit can cause this; move other appliances to a different circuit.

• The power supply voltage is too low: Move the unit to another circuit with the correct voltage.

• The power cord is damaged: Call for service. Only authorized personnel should replace a damaged power cord.

• The L.C.D.I. power plug for the unit is tripped: Press the Reset button on the L.C.D.I. power plug.

• The internal water reservoir is full (“P1” on display): Drain water from the air conditioner.

• Possible loose internal connection: Please contact Whynter for service.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

• The room temperature is outside of the operational tolerances: The unit is designed to operate in specific temperature ranges.

• The Cooling mode is not on: Ensure the unit is set to COOL mode.

• The compressor has not turned on yet because of its time delay: Wait a few minutes. The compressor has a 3-minute safety delay to prevent damage.

• The set temperature is too high: Lower the set temperature.

• The internal water reservoir is full (“P1” on display): Drain water from the air conditioner.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

• The filters are dirty or obstructed: Clean the air filters.

• The air intake or exhaust is obstructed: Make sure there is at least 20″ of clearance from the air intake. Make the length of the exhaust hose as short as possible.

• The unit is set in DRY or FAN mode: Set the unit to the cooling mode.

• The unit is set to low fan speed: Set the unit to a higher fan speed.

Possible Causes and Solutions:

• Windows or doors are open: Close all windows and doors.

• There are too many people in the room: People generate heat. You may need additional cooling or another air conditioner.

• There is direct sunshine into the room: Close curtains or blinds to minimize the amount of direct sunlight.

• The room is a kitchen or has many heat-producing appliances: You may need additional cooling or another air conditioner.

• There is a server in the room: Servers generate significant heat and may require specialized cooling.

• The room is too large: The unit may be undersized for the room.
