To set the heat level, touch the control bar at the desired heat setting. You can slide your finger to the left or right if necessary. Do not release your finger until you have selected the correct heat setting. The display will show the selected heat setting.

The Automatic Heat Up function allows you to reach a necessary heat setting in a shorter time. It sets the highest heat setting for a period and then decreases to the desired heat setting.

To start the Automatic Heat Up function for a cooking zone:

1. Touch P. The letter ‘P’ will appear in the display.

2. Immediately touch the ‘+’ adjacent to the element you want to control. The symbol ‘A’ will appear in the display.

3. Immediately touch the ‘-‘ adjacent to the element again and again until the necessary heat setting appears. After 3 seconds, ‘A’ will remain on the display.

4. To stop the function, touch the ‘+’ adjacent to the element you want to control.

The Power function provides more power to the induction cooking zones. It is activated for a maximum of 10 minutes, after which the cooking zone automatically reverts to the highest heat setting.

• To activate: Touch the ‘P’ sensor. ‘P’ will appear on the display.

• To deactivate: Touch the ‘P’ sensor adjacent to the element you want to control.

Your cooktop has two timer functions: a Count Down Timer and a Minute Minder.

Count Down Timer

Use this timer to set how long a specific cooking zone will operate. Set the timer after selecting the cooking zone. You can set the heat setting before or after setting the timer.

• To set the cooking zone: Touch the Timer sensor repeatedly until the indicator of the required cooking zone appears.

• Starting the timer: Touch ‘+’ or ‘-‘ of the timer to set the time (00-99 minutes). When the indicator of the cooking zone flashes slowly, the time is counting down.

• Checking the remaining time: Select the cooking zone with the Timer sensor. The indicator will flash faster, and the display shows the remaining time.

• Stopping the timer: Select the cooking zone with the Timer sensor, then touch ‘-‘. The remaining time will count back to 00. The indicator of the cooking zone will go out.

When the time elapses, a sound will operate, ’00’ will flash, and the cooking zone will switch off. Touch the Timer sensor to stop the sound.

Minute Minder

You can use the timer as a Minute Minder when the cooking zones are not operating. Touch the Timer sensor, then touch ‘+’ or ‘-‘ to select the time. When the time elapses, a sound will operate, and ’00’ will flash.

The PAUSE function sets all operating cooking zones to the lowest heat setting. When PAUSE is active, you cannot change the heat setting. This function does not stop the timer.

• To activate this function: Touch the PAUSE button (labeled “||”). The symbol for the lowest heat setting (a lit square) will appear.

• To deactivate this function: Touch the PAUSE button again. The heat setting that you previously set will be restored.

You can lock the control panel while the cooking zones are operating to prevent an accidental change of the heat setting. The ON/OFF button will not be locked.

First, set the heat setting. To start the lock function, touch the LOCK button. The symbol ‘L’ will appear for 4 seconds. The Timer will remain on.

The Power function is best to heat up large quantities of water.

Clean the appliance after each use. Always use cookware with a clean bottom. Scratches or dark stains on the glass ceramic do not affect the operation of the appliance.

To remove the dirt:

1. Remove immediately: melted plastic, plastic foil, and food with sugar. If not removed immediately, the dirt can cause damage. Use a special scraper for the glass. Place the scraper on the glass surface at an acute angle and move the blade across the surface.

If an acoustic signal sounds and the hob deactivates, it is likely because you have placed something on one or more of the sensor fields. To resolve this, remove the object from the sensor fields.

The residual heat indicator will not come on if the zone is not hot because it operated for only a short time. If the zone operated long enough to be hot and the indicator still does not appear, the sensor may be damaged. In this case, speak to an Authorised Service Centre.

The Automatic Heat Up function will not operate if the zone is already hot. Let the zone become sufficiently cool before trying again. Also, the function will not activate if the highest heat setting is already set, as it has the same power as the function.

This happens when the power management function is operating. This function divides the power between cooking zones when the total electricity load is high. This is normal operation. Refer to the “Daily use” section for more details.

The sensor fields may become hot if the cookware is too large or if you have placed it too near to the controls. If possible, put large cookware on the rear zones.

The sounds may have been deactivated. To reactivate the sounds, refer to the “Daily use” section of your manual.
