4. Grab the wire of the contact and push it lightly into the housing. This action helps lift the primary locking tabs off the housing edge.
5. While pushing the contact in, simultaneously push the release tool further into the housing to disengage the locking tabs completely.
6. Pull the released contact and its wire out from the back of the housing.
7. Remove the release tool.
Always use the correct release tool. Never pull contacts out by force, as this will damage the contact or housing.
