When starting the VILEDA VR 302, always place it in the middle of a room or surface, at least half a meter away from any cliffs. The device is only for indoor use and is not intended for outdoor areas or balconies. Do not use the VILEDA VR 302 to pick up anything wet, or anything that is flammable, burning, or smoking. Do not use it on long-pile carpet or wet floors like bathroom or laundry areas. Operate the product in temperatures ranging from 10°C to 35°C and avoid using it in high-temperature environments or under direct, intense sunlight for long periods. Before use, remove objects like clothing, loose papers, pull cords for blinds or curtains, power cords, and fragile objects to prevent entanglement.

To set up the remote control for your VILEDA VR 302, install two AAA type batteries before use. Remove the batteries if the remote controller will be left unused for a long period. Note that if you use the remote controller near the charging station, the VILEDA VR 302 may not recognize the command and may not work.

First, place the docking station against a wall and remove obstacles about 1 meter at both sides and about 2 meters in front of the station. If the VILEDA VR 302 is powered off, switch it on by pressing the power switch on the right side of the unit. You can charge the robot in two ways: Plug the adapter directly into the robot and the other end into a power socket, or press the home button on either the robot or the remote control to command the VILEDA VR 302 to return to the docking station. When fully charged, all three battery blocks on the display will be illuminated permanently.

The battery indication is built into three blocks on the VILEDA VR 302 display:

1. Three blocks illuminated: Battery is fully charged, and the full Eco program (90 min) or MAX mode (60 min) can be used.

2. Two blocks illuminated: Battery is half charged for up to 45 minutes of runtime in eco mode.

3. One block illuminated: Battery level is low and it is recommended to start charging.

4. One block blinking: Battery needs to be charged, and no cleaning mode is possible.

To turn the VILEDA VR 302 on, switch the ON/OFF button on the right side of the device. Press the POWER or MAX button on the robot or remote control to start a cleaning cycle. To pause the VILEDA VR 302, press the POWER button again. To enter sleep mode, long press the POWER button on the main body for 3 seconds; the display will turn dark, but the robot remains powered on.

The VILEDA VR 302 is equipped with four cleaning modes:

1. Eco Cleaning Mode: Cleans the room automatically and adjusts the pattern based on the room’s architecture while balancing energy consumption and performance.

2. MAX Cleaning Mode: Increases suction power and slows movement speed to clean dirtier areas thoroughly.

3. Spot Cleaning Mode: Cleans intensively in a spiral motion over a limited area of approximately 1.20m x 1.20m for 90 seconds.

4. Scheduling Mode: Allows the VILEDA VR 302 to automatically leave the docking station and start working daily in Eco mode at the programmed time.

To schedule the VILEDA VR 302, the unit must be in standby or charging. First, set the time clock: press the PLAN button shortly, use MAX or HOME to adjust the hour, press POWER to switch to minutes, use MAX or HOME to adjust minutes, press POWER to confirm, and then press PLAN to quit. To set the schedule: long press the PLAN button, use MAX or HOME to adjust the hour, press POWER to switch to minutes, use MAX or HOME to adjust minutes, and press POWER to confirm. To cancel the schedule, set the time to 00:00.

Regular maintenance is required for the VILEDA VR 302:

Press the PUSH button to open the cover and take out the dust bin. Remove the high efficiency fine dust filter. Open the dust bin cover and remove the primary mesh filter. Empty the dust bin. Wash the dust bin and primary mesh filter, or clean them with the provided brush. Softly beat the high efficiency filter to remove gathered dust, but do not wash it. Ensure all parts are fully dry before reinstalling them into the VILEDA VR 302.

To clean the main brush, first release the clamp on the right side of the main brush kit and remove it from the VILEDA VR 302. Open the main brush cover by holding the lid and pushing the red part up. Lever the red main brush retainer to remove the brush from the holder. Clean the brush and holder using the maintenance brush or running water. If hair is knotted, use scissors to cut and remove it. Once fully dry, re-install the brush in the original order.

If the VILEDA VR 302 is not running, ensure the battery is charged and the dust bin is inserted correctly. If suction is low, empty the dust bin, clean the filters, and check for suction port blockages. If the VILEDA VR 302 shows error codes, ensure the unit is on solid ground, the dust bin is properly placed, the main switch is on, or clean the sensors and wheels as instructed. If the unit malfunctions, try switching the VILEDA VR 302 off and then on again.
