The VERONA VEDW24TSS features the following wash cycles:

Pots and PANS: This cycle is for hard-to-clean, heavily soiled dishes, pots, pans, and dishes.

Normal wash: This cycle is for regularly soiled dinner dishes or silverware.

China crystal: This cycle is for lightly soiled china and crystal.

Quick wash: This cycle is for lightly soiled and pre-rinsed dishes and silverware.

Rinse only: This cycle is for pre-rinsing dishes or glasses. It is a rinse that keeps food from drying on dishes and reduces odor buildup until you are ready to wash a full load. Do not use detergent with this cycle.

ENERGY SAVER: For lightly soiled or pre-rinsed dishes and silverware.

The VERONA VEDW24TSS includes several specialized functions to enhance cleaning performance:

Air exchange: Select this function to have the dishwasher exchange the air every 6 hours to keep the interior air fresh.

Steam wash: Used for heavily soiled items, this option adds 30 minutes to the cycle time. It is available with the Pots and PANS and Normal wash cycles.

Child lock: To prevent children from accidentally changing the cycle or starting the dishwasher, press Steam wash and Vortex wash simultaneously to select or cancel the lock. The indicator light will turn on when active.

Vortex wash: Use this option for pots, pans, durable serving bowls, and other large, heavily soiled dishes. Place these items face down in the back left corner of the lower rack, directly above the vortex wash arm.

Heated Dry: When selected, the heater will operate during the drying process.

Sanitize: This function maintains the water temperature at a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius (158 degrees Fahrenheit). The Sanitized indicator light will turn on after the cycle is finished.

Hi Temp Wash: This function maintains the water temperature at a maximum of 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit).

To start a cycle on the VERONA VEDW24TSS, push the door firmly until it latches automatically. Select the desired wash cycle and options, then press the Start/Cancel pad. The indicator light above the pad will turn on and the wash action will begin.

To cancel a running cycle, press the Start/Cancel pad once. The dishwasher will start a 60-second drain and then shut off. You can then select a new cycle.

To use the Delay function, press the Delay pad until the desired delay time (from 1 to 24 hours) shows in the LED display. To cancel the delay and begin the cycle immediately, press the Start/Cancel pad.

The cycle progress indicator lights on the front right side of the VERONA VEDW24TSS show the current stage of the wash:

WASH: Illuminated when the dishwasher is in a wash or rinse portion of a cycle.

DRY: Illuminated when the dishwasher is in a drying portion of a cycle. Note that the Wash light may also remain on during this time.

CLEAN: Illuminated after the dishwasher has completed all portions of a cycle. If you open the door, these lights will turn off after 30 seconds.

To enter the factory diagnostic mode on the VERONA VEDW24TSS, follow these steps:

Step 1. Turn the dishwasher off and ensure no LEDs are lit.

Step 2. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher.

Step 3. Reapply power with the door open and quickly press and hold both the Program and Start/Cancel pads within 60 seconds of connecting power.

Step 4. Close the door. The display will show C0 and F* alternately for 1 second each. The dishwasher will then run the following sequence:

If the VERONA VEDW24TSS encounters a critical issue, it will display an error code (Er). Common symptoms and causes include:

E1	Flow meter cannot detect defined water after 4 minutes during water inlet step.	Check water supply, inlet valve, inlet, flow meter, pressure switch, drain, or PCB.
E3	Temperature cannot reach defined value after 90 minutes (Factory mode only).	Check heater, thermistor, or PCB.
E4	Water flood into the bottom activates the detective switch.	Check detergent use, machine leveling, micro-switch, drain pump, water fill amount, or leaks.
E6 / E7	Thermal sensor cut or short (Factory mode only).	Check inlet water temperature, thermistor, or PCB.
E8	Diverter valve assembly problem.	Check diverter valve motor, micro S/W, or PCB.
E9	Buttons pressed for over 30 seconds.	Check control panel assembly.
Ed	Display board cannot receive signal from main board for over 20 seconds.	Check display board, PCB, or wire connections between the two.

To remove the Outer Door Panel on the VERONA VEDW24TSS:

Step 1. Remove 12 Phillips-head screws from the interior side of the door.

Step 2. Lower the door panel away from the control panel.

To remove the Control Panel:

Step 1. Remove the outer door panel first.

Step 2. Remove 2 Phillips-head screws from the door latch area.

Step 3. Tilt the control panel out to clear the lip and remove it.

To remove the water inlet valve from the VERONA VEDW24TSS:

Step 1. Disconnect power to the unit.

Step 2. Remove the 2 Phillips-head screws on the kick board and the 2 screws on the lower front cover.

Step 3. Disconnect the water supply line from the valve inlet.

Step 4. Remove the 2 Phillips-head screws holding the bracket to the front brace.

Step 5. Disconnect the 2 wires from the solenoid.

Step 6. Remove the clamp and the outlet hose from the valve.

Note: The clamp is easily damaged and should be replaced with a screw-type hose clamp when installing a new valve.

To remove the heating element from the VERONA VEDW24TSS:

Step 1. Disconnect the power.

Step 2. Open the door and remove the bottom rack.

Step 3. Lay the dishwasher on its back.

Step 4. Remove the 1 Phillips-head screw attaching the base cover to the base.

Step 5. Locate the wires leading to the heating element terminals and pull down the 2 nylon terminal covers.

Step 6. Disconnect the 2 wires from the heating element.

Step 7. Remove the inner 8-mm nuts and washers that attach the heating element to the bottom of the tub.

Step 8. Lift the back side of the element and release it from the 2 retainers.

To remove the drain pump from the VERONA VEDW24TSS:

Step 1. Disconnect power.

Step 2. Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom rack.

Step 3. Remove the dishwasher from its installation and lay it on its back.

Step 4. Remove the 1 Phillips-head screw that attaches the base cover to the base.

Step 5. Rotate the drain pump 1/4-turn anticlockwise (the opposite direction of the mark on the sump) to remove it.

Step 6. Disconnect the 2 wires from the drain pump.

Note: Ensure the O-ring is retained in the pump seal before reassembly.
