Before the first use of the AEG CIB6734ACM, you must preheat both empty oven cavities. Heat up only one appliance at a time as the appliance may emit an unpleasant smell and smoke. Ensure the room is well ventilated during this process.

Step 1. Remove all accessories and removable shelf supports from the appliance.

Step 2. Set the conventional cooking function for the main oven or the 100 to 250 degree setting for the top oven. Set the temperature to 250 degrees Celsius and let the appliance operate for 1 hour.

Step 3. Set the grilling function and the maximum temperature, then let the appliance operate for 15 minutes.

Step 4. Turn off the appliance and allow it to cool completely.

Step 5. Clean the appliance and the accessories using only a microfibre cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent.

Step 6. Place the accessories and removable shelf supports back into their initial positions.

The time must be set before you can operate the oven on the AEG CIB6734ACM. The clock indicator flashes when the appliance is first connected to electrical supply or after a power cut.

To set the time: Press the plus or minus buttons to set the correct time. After approximately 5 seconds, the flashing stops and the display shows the time of day.

To change the time: Press the clock function button repeatedly until the time of day indicator starts to flash. Press the plus or minus buttons to set the new time. Note that the time of day cannot be changed if any of the oven functions are currently operating.

The AEG CIB6734ACM hob uses various symbols to indicate the status of the cooking zones:

The AEG CIB6734ACM induction cooking zones produce heat directly in the bottom of the cookware, which in turn heats the glass ceramic. The indicators show the level of residual heat for the zones currently in use:

Three bars: Continue cooking.

Two bars: Keep warm.

One bar: Residual heat.

The indicator may also appear for neighboring cooking zones even if they are not being used, when hot cookware is placed on a cold zone, or if the hob is deactivated but the zone is still hot. The indicator disappears once the zone has cooled down.

The AEG CIB6734ACM features an automatic switch-off function that deactivates the hob if:

All cooking zones are deactivated.

You do not set a heat setting after activating the hob.

Something is spilled or an object is placed on the control panel for more than 10 seconds.

The hob gets too hot (e.g., a saucepan boils dry).

You use incorrect cookware (the zone deactivates after 2 minutes).

You do not deactivate a cooking zone or change the heat setting for a long period. The deactivation times are as follows:

To use Automatic Heat Up on the AEG CIB6734ACM: The cooking zone must be cold. Turn the knob for the cooking zone to the A position. The ‘A’ symbol will show on the display. Immediately set the desired heat setting. To deactivate, turn the knob to the off position.

To use PowerBoost on the AEG CIB6734ACM: This function provides extra power to induction zones for a limited time. To activate, touch the corresponding PowerBoost sensor field on the hob; the ‘P’ symbol will appear. To deactivate, change the heat setting.

The Count Down Timer on the AEG CIB6734ACM can be used to set how long a cooking zone operates for a single session.

Step 1. Set the heat setting for the desired cooking zone.

Step 2. Touch the clock sensor field repeatedly until the indicator for the necessary cooking zone appears.

Step 3. Touch the plus or minus sensor fields to set the time (00 to 99 minutes). When the indicator of the cooking zone starts to flash slowly, the time begins counting down.

Step 4. To see the remaining time, select the zone using the clock sensor. To change the time, use the plus or minus fields while the zone is selected.

Step 5. When the time ends, a sound operates and 00 flashes. The cooking zone deactivates. Touch the clock sensor to stop the sound.

Pause on the AEG CIB6734ACM: This function sets all operating zones to the lowest heat setting. To activate, press the Pause symbol. The ‘u’ symbol appears. To deactivate, press the Pause symbol again; the previous heat settings will return.

Lock on the AEG CIB6734ACM: This locks the sensor fields while the zones operate. First, set the heat settings. Touch the Lock symbol. The ‘L’ symbol appears for 4 seconds. The timer remains on. To deactivate, touch the Lock symbol again. When you deactivate the hob, the lock function also deactivates.

Child Safety Device: This prevents accidental operation of the hob. The hob must be deactivated. Touch the Lock symbol for 4 seconds until ‘L’ flashes. Touch the Pause symbol. The ‘L’ symbol stays on for 4 seconds. To deactivate, repeat the process until ‘0’ appears.

For the induction cooking zones of the AEG CIB6734ACM, a strong electro-magnetic field is required. Cookware is suitable if water boils very quickly on a zone set to the highest setting or if a magnet pulls onto the bottom of the cookware.

Correct materials: Cast iron, steel, enamelled steel, stainless steel, multi-layer bottom (with correct marking).

Step 1. Fill the cavity embossment at the bottom of the oven with a maximum of 250 ml of tap water. Do this only when the oven is cold.

Step 3. Turn the temperature knob to the desired temperature.

Step 4. Put food in the appliance and close the oven door.

Step 5. To turn off, move the knobs for oven functions and temperature to the off position.

Step 6. Once the appliance is cold, remove any remaining water from the cavity embossment.

Remove immediately: Melted plastic, foil, salt, sugar, or food with sugar. Use a special hob scraper at an acute angle and move the blade across the surface.

The AEG CIB6734ACM oven walls are coated with self-cleaning catalytic enamel which absorbs fat. Before starting:

Step 1. Remove all accessories from the oven.

Step 2. Clean the oven floor with warm water and washing-up liquid, then dry it.

Step 3. Set the oven temperature to 250 degrees Celsius and let it operate for 1 hour.

Step 4. Once the appliance is cool, clean the interior with a soft, moist sponge. Note: Do not clean catalytic surfaces with oven sprays, soap, or other cleaning agents as they will cause damage.

To clean the glass panels on the AEG CIB6734ACM main oven:

Step 1. Open the door fully.

Step 2. Push the door trim at one side to remove it.

Step 3. Pull the trim upward.

Step 4. Carefully hold the glass panels by their top edge and pull them up one by one out of the guide.

Step 5. Clean the glass panels with water and soap, and dry them carefully. To reinstall, follow the steps in reverse, ensuring the ‘A’ trim part is attached correctly before lowering the trim.

If your AEG CIB6734ACM displays these symbols, check the following troubleshooting steps:

Symbol ‘F’: This indicates there is no cookware on the zone, the cookware is incorrect, or the diameter is too small. Put suitable cookware on the zone or use cookware with the correct dimensions.

Symbol ‘E’ + digit: This indicates a malfunction. Deactivate the appliance and activate it again after 30 seconds. If the symbol appears again, disconnect the hob from the electrical supply and contact an Authorised Service Centre.

Symbol ‘-‘: This means Automatic Switch Off has operated. Deactivate the hob and activate it again.

To remove limestone residue after using the SteamBake function on the AEG CIB6734ACM:

Step 1. Pour 250 ml of white vinegar (maximum 6% acidity without additives) into the cavity embossment at the bottom of the oven.

Step 2. Let the vinegar dissolve the limestone at ambient temperature for 30 minutes.

Step 3. Clean the cavity with warm water and a soft cloth. It is recommended to perform this every 5 to 10 cooking cycles.

Step 1. Disconnect the oven from the mains supply.

Energy saving tips for the AEG CIB6734ACM:

Hob: Use only the amount of water you need, always use lids on cookware, and place cookware in the center of the zone. Use residual heat to keep food warm or melt items.
