Read the manual carefully before starting or using the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S. Always store the manual in the immediate vicinity of the device or its site of use. Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

What are the electrical safety precautions for the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

How should I transport the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

Before transporting the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S, observe the following:

Switch off the device by pressing the Power button.

Drain the remaining condensate from the device.

Before storing the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S:

Drain the remaining condensate from the device.

Disconnect the device from the mains by removing the mains plug from the socket, holding the plug, not the cable.

Take the internal and external unit out of the window and disassemble both units. Do not disconnect the connection line.

How do I unpack and assemble the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

Unpacking:

1. Open the cardboard box and take the device out.

2. Completely remove the packaging.

3. Fully unwind the power cable. Make sure that the power cable is not damaged and that you do not damage it during unwinding.

Assembly:

Note: The connection lines between the external and internal unit are pre-mounted and must never be disconnected.

1. Ensure the device is switched off and disconnected from the mains.

2. Screw the two outer fixtures tightly to the two inner fixtures using four screws.

3. Fasten the two spacers on the rear of the external unit.

4. Screw the connected fixtures to the rear of the external unit using 8 screws.

5. Place the internal unit onto the fixtures of the external unit from above.

6. Insert the star knob screws into the fixtures on the internal unit and tighten them.

7. Wrap the protective cover around the connection line for insulation and protection. The connection line must not be subjected to tension or mechanical stress.

8. Hang the external unit and internal unit into an open window, so that the external unit is outdoors and the internal unit is in the caravan.

9. Tighten the star knob screws on the lower part of the fixture to fasten the device in its mounting position. The internal and external unit should be fitted tightly to the window.

10. Ensure that the air filter has been inserted into the internal unit. Do not operate the device without an inserted air filter.


How do I start up the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

During operation, observe the minimum distance to objects as described in the technical data (Top: 20 cm, Rear: 0 cm, Sides: 20 cm, Front: 20 cm).

Before restarting the device, check the condition of the power cable. If there are doubts, contact customer service.

Do not create tripping hazards when laying the power cable. Use cable bridges if necessary.

Make sure that extension cables are completely unrolled.

Make sure that the air inlet and outlet are not obstructed.

Make sure that no curtains or other objects interfere with the air flow.

How do I operate the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

Switching the device on:

1. Once completely installed, press the on/off button (30) to switch the device on.

2. Select the desired operating mode.

Note: Press the Decrease value button (22) and Increase value button (28) simultaneously to switch between temperature units °C and °F.

Cooling Mode:

1. Press the Operating mode button (29) repeatedly until the Cooling LED (26) is illuminated.

2. Press the Decrease value button (22) or Increase value button (28) to set the desired target temperature.

3. Use the Fan speed button (21) to select fan stage 1 or 2.

Ventilation Mode:

1. Press the Operating mode button (29) repeatedly until the Ventilation LED (27) is illuminated.

2. Press the Fan speed button (21) to switch between fan stage 1 and 2.

Dehumidification Mode:

1. Press the Operating mode button (29) until the Dehumidification LED (32) is illuminated. The internal unit draws humidity from the room air, which is then transported to the external unit by the condensate pump.


How do I set the timer on the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

The timer can be set for automatic switch-on (when device is in standby) or automatic switch-off (when device is on). The time can be set from 1 to 24 hours.

1. Press the Operating mode button (29) for 3 seconds until the Timer LED (24) is illuminated. The segment display will show the number 1 (for 1 hour).

2. Set the desired number of hours by using the Increase value (28) and Decrease value (22) buttons.

The segment display indicates the period of time until automatic switch-on/switch-off. Setting the number of hours to 0 switches the timer function off. If the device is disconnected from the power supply, all timer settings are deleted.


How do I use the Night Mode and Swing Function on the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

Night Mode:

This can be activated in Cooling mode. The fan runs at minimum speed and the fan stage cannot be changed.

1. Press the Night mode button (20). The Night mode LED (33) will illuminate.

2. After 20 seconds the segment display (25) switches off.

Swing Function:

This can be switched on in any operating mode to ensure continuous air circulation.

1. Press the Night mode button (20) and the Fan speed button (21) simultaneously to switch on the swing function. The ventilation flap moves up and down continuously.

2. Press the Night mode button (20) and the Fan speed button (21) again to stop the ventilation flaps in a certain position and to switch off the swing function.


How do I connect the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S to WiFi?

1. The device must be in standby mode.

2. Download the Trotec Assistant App and open it on a smartphone.

3. Select Add Device by pressing the + symbol in the top right corner.

4. Select Large household appliances and Air conditioning (Wi-Fi) among them.

5. Press the fan speed button (21) on the control panel of the device for approx. 3 seconds. The WiFi LED (31) will light up.

6. Press the fan speed button (21) again on the control panel of the device for approx. 3 seconds. The WiFi LED (31) will flash approx. twice per second. The device is in Quick Connect mode.

7. Follow the instructions of the app on the smartphone. Once the WiFi LED (31) is permanently illuminated, the connection is established.


How do I properly shut down and store the TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S?

1. Press the on/off button (30) to switch the device off.

2. Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the power cable out of the mains socket. Do not touch the plug with damp or wet hands.

3. Drain the condensate reservoirs of the internal and external unit by means of the condensation drain hose at the condensate outlet (4).

4. Clean the device according to the Maintenance chapter.

5. Store the device according to the Storage chapter.


What should I do if my TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S does not start?

Check the power connection.

Check the power cable and mains plug for damage. If you notice damages, do not try to take the device back into operation.

Check the on-site fusing.

Why is my TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S not cooling effectively?

Check whether cooling mode is selected.

Check the position of the ventilation flap. The ventilation flap must be opened to the maximum.

Why does the compressor on my TROTEC PAC-C 1500 S not start?

Activities before maintenance:

Switch the device off.

Disconnect the device from the mains by removing the mains plug from the socket. Hold the plug, not the cable.

Cleaning the housing:

Clean the housing with a soft, damp and lint-free cloth. Ensure no moisture enters the housing. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.

Cleaning the air filter:

The air filter should be cleaned as soon as it is dirty.

1. Remove the air filter (12) from the device.

2. Clean the filter using a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth. If heavily contaminated, clean it with warm water mixed with a neutral cleaning agent.

3. Allow the filter to dry completely. Do not put a wet filter into the device.

4. Reinsert the air filter into the device.

Condensate discharge (manual draining):

If the error code FL appears, too much condensate has collected in the external unit.

1. Unplug the rubber stopper from the condensate outlet (4) at the rear of the external unit to drain the condensate.

2. You can fasten the condensation drain hose to the outlet to drain the condensate in a directed fashion. The condensate will then drain off automatically when it collects.

3. Insert the rubber stopper back into the outlet and ensure it fits tightly to prevent water leakage.
