When using the TROTEC BN35, please adhere to the following safety warnings:

Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.

Do not plug multiple devices in a line.

Ensure the device is voltage-free by disconnecting the plug.

Protect the device from permanent direct sunlight.

Never charge batteries that cannot be recharged.

Do not use different types of batteries or new and used batteries together.

Insert batteries according to the correct polarity.

Remove discharged batteries from the device promptly.

Never short-circuit the supply terminal in the battery compartment.

Do not swallow batteries. If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns. Seek medical attention immediately.

Keep new and used batteries and an open battery compartment away from children.

Only use the TROTEC BN35 as a temperature-controlled plug adapter between a power connection and a terminal device, while adhering to the technical data. It is not suitable for use with any type of extension cable and must not be used in potentially explosive areas, or where it is wet or very humid.

To install the batteries in the TROTEC BN35 thermostat, please follow these steps:

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the thermostat unit.

2. Insert two AAA batteries into the compartment, ensuring you align them with the correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside.

3. Replace the battery compartment cover securely.

Before using the TROTEC BN35 receiver for the first time, follow these steps:

1. Peel off the protective warning sticker from the front of the receiver unit.

2. Plug the receiver directly into a suitable wall socket.

To pair the thermostat and receiver of your TROTEC BN35, follow this procedure:

1. Press and hold the power button on the receiver plug for 3 seconds.

2. The “CONNECT” indicator on the receiver will begin to flash.

3. While the receiver is flashing, press the power button on the thermostat.

4. The “CONNECT” indicator on the receiver will stop flashing and remain steadily lit, confirming a successful connection.

To configure the basic settings of the TROTEC BN35 thermostat:

1. Press and hold the settings button (gear icon) for 3 seconds to enter the settings menu.

2. The time format (24hr or 12hr) will flash. Use the + and – buttons to choose your preferred format, then press OK to confirm.

3. The day of the week will flash. Use the + and – buttons to select the current day, then press OK.

4. The hour will flash. Use the + and – buttons to set the current hour, then press OK.

5. The minutes will flash. Use the + and – buttons to set the current minutes, then press OK.

6. The Daylight Saving Time (DST) setting will appear. Use the + and – buttons to select ON or OFF, then press OK.

7. The temperature unit (°C or °F) will flash. Use the + and – buttons to select your preferred unit, then press OK to exit the settings menu.

To program the timer on your TROTEC BN35 thermostat:

1. Press the timer button (clock icon) once. The display will show “TIMER”.

2. Press and hold the “M” (Mode) button for 3 seconds to enter programming mode.

3. The day selection will flash. Use the + and – buttons to cycle through day groups (e.g., individual days, weekdays, weekend, full week). Press OK to select the days for this program.

4. The “ON” time setting will appear. Use the + and – buttons to set the hour for the device to turn on, and press OK. Then, set the minutes and press OK.

5. The “OFF” time setting will appear. Use the + and – buttons to set the hour for the device to turn off, and press OK. Then, set the minutes and press OK.

6. You can then proceed to set additional timer programs or exit programming mode.

The TROTEC BN35 has different operating modes that can be configured as follows:

1. Press the mode button (hand/auto icon) twice. The display will show “MODE”.

2. Press and hold the “M” button for 3 seconds to enter mode selection.

3. Use the + and – buttons to choose between the available modes:

• FULL: The device operates continuously for 24 hours to maintain the set target temperature.

• Prd (Programmed): The device operates according to a pre-set ON and OFF schedule.

4. Press OK to confirm your selected mode.

5. After selecting a mode, you can set the target temperature. Use the + and – buttons to adjust the temperature and press OK to confirm.

6. If you select “Prd” mode, you will also need to set the ON and OFF times for the program as you would in the timer settings.

To manually override the current temperature setting on the TROTEC BN35 thermostat, simply press the + or – button to adjust the temperature to your desired level. The manual mode icon (a hand) will appear on the display, indicating that the programmed schedule has been temporarily overridden.

To turn the TROTEC BN35 receiver on or off, press the power button located on the side of the receiver plug unit. The power status will be reflected on the thermostat’s display.

To enable or disable the timer function on the TROTEC BN35, press the timer button (clock icon) on the side of the receiver plug. When the timer function is disabled, a crossed-out timer icon will appear on the thermostat’s display. Pressing the button again will re-enable the function, and the cross-out symbol will disappear.

To reset the TROTEC BN35 thermostat to its factory settings, use a thin, pointed object like a paperclip to press the small reset button located inside a pinhole on the back of the unit.

The TROTEC BN35 and its batteries must not be disposed of with regular household waste. The icon with the crossed-out waste bin indicates that this equipment must be disposed of separately.
