What are the critical warnings for the TRITON 850 dryer?

Please adhere to the following critical warnings when using your TRITON 850:

• This dryer can not be used upside down.

Risk of Fire: Clothes dryer installation must be performed by a qualified installer according to the manufacturer’s instructions and local codes.

• Do not install the dryer with flexible plastic venting materials. If flexible metal (foil type) duct is used, it must be a specific type identified by the manufacturer as suitable for clothes dryers. Flexible venting materials can collapse, be easily crushed, and trap lint, which increases the risk of fire.

• The appliance must be grounded. It is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor. Improper connection can result in a risk of electric shock. Do not modify the plug.

• The dryer must be placed on firm, horizontal ground. Do not place it on carpet, as this will block the air intake. There should be at least 10cm between the dryer and any walls.

• Place the dryer in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat and direct sunlight.

• Do not wash the dryer directly with water or use thinner, gasoline, or alcohol.

• Do not use spray cleaners on the interior. If the drum is stained, clean it with a damp cloth and remove any residue before the next load.

• Clean the cabinet with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.

What are the important safety safeguards for the TRITON 850?

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, follow these basic safety precautions:

• Read all instructions carefully.

• This appliance is for indoor use only.

• Do not allow children to play on or in the appliance.

• Do not place naked flame sources, such as candles, on the appliance.

• Do not block ventilation openings. Ensure vents are not covered.

• To disconnect, turn the appliance off, switch off the power outlet, and remove the plug.

• Do not misuse the cord. Grasp the plug to disconnect, do not pull the cord.

• Do not operate the appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug.

• Do not reach into the appliance if the drum is moving.

• Do not place items soiled with flammable liquids inside the dryer without washing them with detergent thoroughly beforehand.

• Do not excessively bend, stretch, twist, or bind the power cord.

• Do not install in a tight-fitting cabinet.

• Do not overload the tumble dryer.

• Before the appliance is discarded, remove the door to the drying compartment.

• Do not tamper with controls.

• Do not use heat to dry articles containing foam rubber or similarly textured rubber-like materials.

• Keep the area around the exhaust opening free from the accumulation of lint, dust, and dirt.

• Do not place items exposed to cooking oils in your dryer.

• Ensure foreign objects do not find their way into the tub of the tumble dryer.

• Clean the lint screen before or after each load.

What should I do before using my TRITON 850 for the first time?

• Allow at least 5 inches of space between the sides of the appliance.

• Put your laundry into the dryer evenly to prevent noise or vibration.

• Before drying, check all pockets for items like nails or pins, which could damage the dryer or clothes.

The control panel consists of a mode selector and a timer dial.

Dry Mode Selector:

OFF: When the dial is in the ‘OFF’ position, no power is supplied to the unit. As soon as the dial is turned clockwise, the dryer will start.

Hot: For drying large quantities or bulky items (when the drum is more than 1/2 full). Select the ‘Timed Dry’ heat option and set the timer for more than 150 minutes.

Air Dry: This function runs with cool air and is used to air items that need freshening, such as clothes stored for a long time. (This is a setting on the “Hot” side of the dial).

How do the Auto Dry and Timed Dry modes work on the TRITON 850?

The TRITON 850 is designed with an automatic moisture sensor and provides both Auto Dry and Timed Dry modes.

Auto Dry Mode:

The heating element will cut off, but the unit will continue the wrinkle guard process (tumbling without heat) until the timer runs to the “OFF” position.

Note: For heavy items like jeans, blankets, covers, towels, etc., the recommended mode is Timed Dry.
