Follow these steps to set up the address automatically:

1. Turn on the indoor units first, then turn on the outdoor units.

2. Wait about 1 minute after powering on and confirm the 7-segment display on the interface P.C. board of the header outdoor unit indicates “U. 1. Err” and “L08” alternately at 1-second intervals.

3. Push SW06 on the header unit interface P.C. board for more than 1 second to start the setup.

4. The display will indicate “Auto 1” → “Auto 2” → “Auto 3”.

5. The setting is complete when the display changes to “U. 1. – – -” (flashing or light).

To set up addresses manually from a wired remote controller (RBC-AMT*), follow this procedure:

1. Push the SET + CL + TEST buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds or more. The LCD will begin blinking.

2. Set the Refrigerant line address: Use the TEMP buttons to set DN code to 12. Use the TIME buttons to set the line address (matching the header unit interface P.C. board), then push SET.

3. Set the Indoor address: Use the TEMP buttons to set DN code to 13. Use the TIME buttons to set the indoor address (0001 to 0128 for TU2C-LINK), then push SET.

4. Set the Group address: Use the TEMP buttons to set DN code to 14. Use the TIME buttons to set Individual (0000), Header unit (0001), or Follower unit (0002), then push SET.

5. Set the Central control address: Use the TEMP buttons to set DN code to 03. Use the TIME buttons to set the central control address, then push SET.

6. Push the TEST button to finish. “Setting up” will blink and then go off when operation is possible.

Test operations can be initiated from the interface P.C. board of the header unit:

For Cooling Test Operation:

1. Set rotary switches SW01/SW02/SW03 to [2/5/1]. Section A of the display shows “C.”.

2. Push push-switch SW04 for 2 seconds or more. The display Section B shows “- C” and operation starts.

For Heating Test Operation:

1. Set rotary switches SW01/SW02/SW03 to [2/6/1]. Section A shows “H.”.

2. Push push-switch SW04 for 2 seconds or more. Section B shows “- H” and operation starts.

To stop the test run, return SW01/SW02/SW03 to [1/1/1] or push SW05 for 2 seconds or more. Note that test operations automatically return to normal operation after 60 minutes.

The following table lists common check codes detected by the outdoor interface:

To clear currently detected check codes from the header unit interface board:

1. Set the rotary switches SW01/SW02/SW03 to [2/16/1]. The display shows “Er”.

2. Push the push-switch SW04 for 5 seconds or more.

3. When “CL” is displayed in the 7-segment display for 5 seconds, the check code is completely cleared.

4. Return the rotary switches to [1/1/1] after completion.

The priority operation mode is set using Outdoor Unit Function Code (O.DN) [18] on the header unit:

O.DN [18] = 0000: Priority heating (factory default).

O.DN [18] = 0001: Priority cooling.

O.DN [18] = 0002: Priority based on number of units in operation (mode with the largest share gets priority).

O.DN [18] = 0003: Priority indoor unit (priority given to the specific indoor unit address set for priority).

If the troubled outdoor unit can be turned on, follow Refrigerant Recovery Procedure A:

1. Connect the check joint of the liquid pipe and the low pressure-side check joint using a charge hose and purge the hose of air.

2. Fully close the liquid pipe service valve of the troubled outdoor unit, leaving the gas pipe service valve fully open.

3. Set SW01/02/03 on the interface board of the failed unit to [2/11/1]. “rd” will be displayed.

4. Push SW04 and hold for 5 seconds or more. The display will show “rd FF” and reclaim operation starts.

5. After approximately 20 minutes, fully close the gas pipe service valve of the troubled unit.

6. Push SW05 on the interface board to finish the reclaim operation.

7. Turn off the power and recover residual refrigerant using a recovery device.
