How do I insert batteries?

The device can be powered by batteries if not connected via USB. Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment on the bottom of the device. You can use conventional AAA batteries or rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting.

How do I charge rechargeable batteries?

You can charge rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries directly in the device. Activate the built-in charging function ONLY if you have inserted rechargeable batteries.

1. Insert two AAA NiMH batteries.

2. Connect the device to a power supply with the USB cable.

3. Press and hold the ▲[/CHG] button, then turn the device off and on again using the main switch.

The charge mode is activated. Charging stops automatically when the battery is fully charged (approx. 3 hours).


How do I turn the unit on?

1. Connect the device to your mobile end device or PC using the supplied USB cable (if not using batteries).

The device is detected automatically.

2. Turn the device on using the main switch on the rear panel.

The LEDs under the foot switches light up briefly. The display shows the current status of the device.


How do I select a preset configuration?

You can switch between 6 preset and 2 individually programmable configurations.

1. Depending on the desired configuration (see table below), press and hold the corresponding foot switch ([1]…[4] or [A]…[D]).

2. While holding the foot switch, switch the device off and on again at the main switch.

The selected configuration is activated. The display will show the selected configuration.

The setup for individual configurations is activated. The display shows the submenus ‘MIDI.CH’, ‘CUS1’ and ‘CUS2’.

3. Press [2] or [3] to switch between the submenus.


How do I assign MIDI channels to preset configurations?

1. Access the setup menu (Press and hold ▼[/SET], power cycle).

2. Navigate to the ‘MIDI.CH’ submenu using footswitch [2] or [3].

3. Use ▲[/CHG] or ▼[/SET] to select the desired preset configuration (JAMP, BIFX, KMPA, AXEF, ATOM, PC-8x).

4. Press footswitch [B] or [C] to select the desired MIDI channel for that configuration.

The selected settings remain stored even after the device is turned off.

Are there potential conflicts when setting up configurations?

Yes, particular setups may cause conflicts. When you set 4 patches for a group (Bank Move = 4x), the buttons [1] to [4] are not available in the program change mode. When you set 5 patches for a group (Bank Move = 5x), the buttons [1] to [3] are not available in the program change mode. Follow the setup order from “Bank Move” to the end when programming.

How do I restore the device to factory settings?

You can use this function to reset the device to its factory default setting.

1. Press and hold down both the ▼[/SET] and ▲[/CHG] buttons simultaneously.

2. While holding both buttons, turn the device off using the main switch.

When you turn the device back on, it will be reset to the standard settings.
