What are the ventilation requirements for this appliance?
The use of this gas cooking appliance produces heat, humidity, and combustion products in the room where it is installed. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation in the room when the appliance is in operation. In case of prolonged use, provide additional ventilation by opening a window or increasing the suction power of the extractor hood.

Ensure that the pan supports are correctly positioned.
Light the gas burners and let them run to expel any odors and vapors.
What type of gas should be used with this appliance?
Use only LPG (liquefied petroleum gas). The appliance runs on propane or butane. Propane is preferable to butane, as the latter has poor performance at ambient temperatures below 10°C and cannot be used at an ambient temperature below 5°C.
This appliance is suitable for use with LPG and must not be used with any other gas.
How do I light the burners?
To light the burners:
1. Push and turn the control knob.
2. Turn it anti-clockwise to the maximum open position.
3. For models with electric ignition: Press the ignition button. For models without ignition: Hold a lit match or a gas lighter near the burner.

5. Adjust the flame height.
How do I turn off the burners?

How do I use the sink (SCU353 model)?
Lift the glass lid.
Open the water tap.
Close the water tap.
Be careful not to get the burners wet with water from the tap or sink. Wet burners can work erratically and go out.
Hard or soft water can leave a brown or white film in the sink. To avoid this, dry the sink with a soft cloth. Clean the sink thoroughly at least once a week with a cloth and household detergent.
What are the best practices for cooking safely?

At the end of cooking, return the control knob to the 0 position.
Keep the appliance clean and avoid the accumulation of grease and food residues.

How often should the appliance be cleaned and serviced?
Thetford recommends an annual inspection by an authorized service center. Between annual maintenance intervals, clean the appliance regularly after use.
What is the general cleaning procedure?
Always remove any spills or contamination immediately after use with hot water and soap. Dry the surface with a soft cloth.
Use a universal non-abrasive cream cleaner and an abrasive sponge to clean stubborn dirt or grease.
To clean the burner rings, make sure the holes are not clogged.
The control knobs can be removed for cleaning. The knobs are easy to reposition.
What should I avoid when cleaning the appliance?
Do not use abrasive detergents, abrasive metal sponges or hard brushes. They could damage the appliance.
Do not allow wet cloths, detergent pads, food residues or other cleaning products or dirt to dry on the surface. They can cause corrosion, marks or even rust.
Do not leave cleaning products containing bleach in contact with the stainless steel.
Be aware that the mineral content in water (such as iron or lime) can affect the appearance of the metal.
How should I clean the stainless steel surfaces?
Use a dedicated stainless steel cleaner or polish to remove superficial scratches.
Always clean in the direction of the satin finish and not across the grain.
What should I do if I smell gas?
As soon as you smell gas:
1. Check that all burners are off.
2. Extinguish all naked flames and do not smoke.
3. Immediately cut off the gas supply at the cylinder.
4. Do not use electrical switches.
5. Open all doors and windows.
LPG is heavier than air. Gas leaks accumulate at lower levels. Following the strong and unpleasant smell of gas, it is possible to determine the location of the leak. To pinpoint its exact location, use a special leak detection spray. Never use a naked flame to locate the leak!
Who should perform maintenance on the appliance?
All maintenance work must be carried out by an authorized and competent person. Before starting any maintenance work, the appliance must be allowed to cool down and must be disconnected from both the gas and electrical supply. After each maintenance intervention, the appliance must be tested to ensure gas tightness and electrical safety.
For assistance, contact your local authorized service center providing the model and serial number details from the data plate, as well as the date of purchase.
How should I prepare the appliance for storage?
Close the gas valve on the cylinder.
