The keys on your TCL FLIP PLUS TCL-4058L have the following functions:

• Left Soft Key: Press to access Notifications.

• Call Key: Press to make a call. From the Idle screen, press to enter the call log.

• Favorite Contacts Key (★): Press to access Favorite Contacts.

• Navigation Key (up, down, left, right): Moves menu selections. Press Left to access Email providers. Press Up to access Settings. Press Right to access Contacts. Press Down to access Recent apps.

• Right Soft Key: Press to access Shortcuts.

• Center Soft Key (OK): Confirms an option. From the Home screen, press to access the app list.

• End/Power Key: Press to end a call or return to the Idle screen. Press and hold to Restart or Power on/off.

• Back/Delete Key: Moves backwards through menus. Deletes entered numbers or letters.

• Messages Key: Press to access Messages.

• Letters symbols Key (*): Press this key then choose a symbol.

• Text input Key (#): Repeatedly press to change the text input method from ABC to Abc, 123, or Predictive text.

First, ensure the TCL FLIP PLUS TCL-4058L is powered off before opening the back cover.

Step 1. Remove the back cover: With the device facing down, use your fingernail to carefully lift the cover away from the device body starting from the bottom left corner.

Step 2. Remove the battery: Use your fingernail to lift the battery from the top left corner.

Step 3. Insert SIM or microSD card: Push the SIM card or microSD card into its corresponding card slot with the gold-colored contacts facing down.

Step 4. Re-install the battery: Align the gold contact points of the battery with the gold contact points of the device. It only fits one way. Press down to snap it in place.

Step 5. Replace the back cover: Carefully align the back cover with the tabs and press it into place. It only fits one direction.

To remove a SIM or microSD card, press down on the small plastic tab next to the card, then slide the card out. Do not use force or sharp objects.

To charge your TCL FLIP PLUS TCL-4058L, follow these steps:

1. Insert the small end of the charging cable into the charger port on the phone.

2. Insert the other end of the cable into your wall charger.

3. Plug the wall charger into a wall outlet.

WARNING: Only use the charger and cable supplied with the phone. Using incompatible chargers or tampering with the charging port could damage your phone and void the warranty.

To turn your phone on:

Press and hold the End/Power Key. The first time you turn on your phone, you may need to activate it by following the on-screen instructions.

To turn your phone off:

1. Press and hold the End/Power Key for about 2 seconds.

2. Press the Navigation Key to select “Power Off”.

3. Press the Center Soft Key (OK) to confirm.

To keep your TCL FLIP PLUS TCL-4058L secure, you can create a screen lock password by following these steps:

1. From the Home screen, press the Center Soft Key (OK).

2. Select Settings > Phone settings > Security > Screen lock.

3. Press the Navigation key to select On and then press the Center Soft Key (OK) to enable the screen lock.

4. Enter your desired passcode and press the Center Soft Key (OK) to go to the next step.

5. Enter the passcode again and press the Center Soft Key (OK) to create the lock.

1. Dial the desired number using the keypad.

2. If you make a mistake, press the Back/Delete Key to delete the incorrect digits.

3. Press the Call Key to place the call.

4. To access more options during a call, press the Right Soft Key to display Options. Use the Navigation key to select an option.

When you receive a call on your TCL FLIP PLUS TCL-4058L, you have several options:

• To answer a call: Press the Left Soft Key or the Call Key. If the device is closed, you can accept the call by flipping the device open.

• To reject a call: Press the Right Soft Key or the End/Power Key.

• To avoid hearing impairment, pick up the call before holding your phone to your ear.

Battery Safety:

• Do not attempt to open the battery.

• Do not puncture, disassemble, or cause a short-circuit in the battery.

• Do not burn or dispose of a used battery in household garbage. Dispose of batteries according to local environmental regulations.

Your TCL FLIP PLUS TCL-4058L phone’s IMEI number is shown on the packaging label and is also stored in the phone’s memory. To find it, enter *#06# on the keypad. It is recommended to note this number and keep it in a safe place in case your phone is stolen.
