To remove a widget:

Folders help you organize items on your workspace.

To create a new folder:

You can set your wallpaper using images from your gallery, animated wallpapers, or default phone wallpapers.

Unmounting the SD card prevents data corruption when removing it.

Formatting the SD card erases all data stored on it.

3. Tap Format SD card > Format SD card > Erase everything to format the card.

A factory data reset will erase all data from your T-MOBILE SAMSUNG GALAXY SII, except for current system software, bundled applications, and SD card files like music or photos.

The Logs tab shows a list of calls you have placed, accepted, or missed.

• OR, from the Home screen, tap the Messaging icon, then tap the new message thread to view its contents.

To reply to a message:

1. While viewing the message thread, tap the ‘Type to compose’ field.

2. Type your reply message.

3. Tap ‘Send’ to deliver your reply.

1. From the Home screen, tap the Camera icon.

2. Use the phone’s main display as a viewfinder to aim the camera at your subject.

3. You can tap the screen to move the focus to a desired area of interest.

4. On the left side of the screen, you can access various camera options and settings like Flash, Self portrait, and Shooting mode.

5. Press the on-screen Camera button (or a physical camera key if available) until the shutter sounds. The picture is automatically stored.

1. From the Home screen, tap the Camera icon.

2. Tap and slide the Camera/Camcorder mode button down to switch to Camcorder Mode.

3. Use the phone’s main display as a viewfinder to aim the camcorder at your subject.

4. Tap the red Video key to begin shooting. A red light will blink while recording.

5. Tap the Video key again to stop recording. The video file is saved to your Camera folder.

6. After saving, you can tap the image viewer thumbnail to play your video for review.

The Gallery is where you can access all of your stored camera images and videos.

1. From the Home screen, tap Applications > Gallery.

2. The Gallery displays your media in folders or albums. Select a folder location (e.g., Camera) to view its contents.

3. Tap an image or video to open it in the viewer.

4. In the image viewer, you can touch and drag a picture left or right to see the next or previous picture.

5. While viewing an image, you can tap the screen or press the Menu key to access options like ‘Send via’, ‘Delete’, ‘Share via’, and ‘Set as’ (for Contact icon or Wallpaper).

The Music player allows you to play music files stored on your device.

1. From the Home screen, tap Applications > Music.

2. Touch a tab to select a music category: All, Playlists, Albums, or Artists.

3. Scroll through the list and tap a song to begin playback.

During playback, you can use the following controls:

• Pause/Play: Pause or resume the song.

• Rewind/Previous: Press and hold to rewind, tap to go to the previous song.

• Fast-forward/Next: Press and hold to fast-forward, tap to go to the next song.

• Volume control: Adjust the playback volume.

1. From the Home screen, tap Applications > Music.

2. Tap the Playlists tab.

3. Press the Menu key and then tap Create.

4. Backspace over the default title, type a new name for your playlist, and then tap Save.

To add music to a playlist:

1. Navigate to the playlist you created and tap its name.

2. Press the Menu key and tap Add, or tap the ‘Add music’ icon.

3. Tap a music file to add it, or tap ‘Select all’ to add all music tracks to the playlist, then tap Add.

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key and then tap Settings > Wireless and network > Wi-Fi settings.

2. Tap Wi-Fi to activate the feature. A checkmark indicates it is active. The device will scan for available wireless networks.

3. The names of detected Wi-Fi networks will be displayed.

4. Tap the network you wish to connect to.

5. If the network is secured, enter the wireless password (if necessary) and tap Connect.

Note: If you select an open network, you will be connected automatically.

This feature allows you to turn your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot to share your mobile data connection. Note that you must have a tethering plan on your account to use this feature.

To activate the Hotspot:

1. From the Home screen, press Menu > Settings > Wireless and network > Tethering and portable hotspot.

2. Tap ‘Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings’ and tap OK.

3. Tap ‘Portable Wi-Fi hotspot’. A checkmark will appear, activating the service.

4. Tap ‘Yes’ to continue with the activation.

To secure the Hotspot:

1. In the ‘Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings’ menu, tap ‘Configure portable Wi-Fi hotspot’.

2. Tap the Security field and select WPA2 PSK.

3. Enter a new password in the Password field.

4. Tap Save to store the new settings.

1. From the Home screen, tap Applications > Clock.

2. Tap the ‘Create alarm’ icon.

3. Use the plus or minus symbols to set the hour and minutes. Tap AM or PM to select the time of day.

4. Tap the ‘Alarm repeat’ field to set how often the alarm repeats: One-time event, Daily, Every weekday (Mon-Fri), or Weekly.

5. Configure other options like Alarm type (Melody, Vibration, etc.), Alarm volume, and Alarm tone.

6. Tap Save to store the new alarm.
