To cancel the demonstration (Demo) display on your SONY XAV-65, you need to turn the Demo setting to OFF. Follow these steps:

Before operating the SONY XAV-65 for the first time, after replacing the car battery, or after changing connections, you must reset the unit. To do this, press the reset button on the main unit using a pointed object, such as a ballpoint pen. Note that pressing the reset button will erase the clock setting and some stored contents.

To play media from an iPod or USB device on your SONY XAV-65:

1. Reduce the volume on the unit.

The SONY XAV-65 is compatible with the following iPod and iPhone models via USB. Ensure your device has the latest software before use.

When the battery in the remote commander becomes weak, its range will become shorter. Replace the battery with a new CR2025 lithium battery. To replace it:

1. Open the battery compartment on the remote commander.

2. Remove the old battery.
