It is important to follow these safety warnings when installing the SONY WS-RE2:

Be sure to subcontract installing, moving or dismounting the products to licensed contractors and keep small children away during the procedure.

Unauthorized installation may result in serious injury or property damage.

Make sure that two or more persons mount or dismount the product(s).

Please observe the following precautions when using the SONY WS-RE2:

• This product is for the specified product only. Do not use this product other than for products that specify it in their instruction manuals. Use with other products or for other purposes than those specified may cause damage or injury.

• Do not use this product for wall mounting.

• Do not ground through the rack mount.

• Refer to the precautions in the operating instructions.

• Improper installation may cause fire or injury.

• Make sure to keep sufficient ventilation space above and below the product. Refer to the instructions manual of the product.

• Do not cover the ventilation holes on the product.

• Keep a minimum of 44.45 mm (one “U” (1.75 in)) space above and below the product in order to allow heat generated from the product to dissipate.

• Use a ventilation device such as a cooling fan if the mount rack is installed in a warm or enclosed environment.

• Mount heavier product towards the bottom of the rack to maintain balance of the rack mount.

Sufficient expertise is required for installing this product. Be sure to subcontract the installation to qualified service personnel and pay adequate attention to safety during the installation.

Notes:

Insulators are attached to the brackets in advance.

Select the correct screws according to the type of rack.

Step 1. Check that all parts are included.

Step 2. Remove screws from the right side of the receiver. Do not remove screws other than those specified.

Step 3. Mount the bracket on the right side of the receiver in the order of the step numbers printed on the bracket using the screws removed in step 2.

Step 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the left side to mount the bracket.

Step 5. Mount the receiver to the rack system. Make sure to perform this step with more than one person.

Step 6. Mount the blank panel. (The blank panel is shaped so that the front cover of the receiver can be easily detached, and it also hides the legs of the receiver to give it a cleaner look.)
