The supply of the SHARP 65FP6EA includes the following parts:

• 1x TV

• 1x Remote control

• 2x AAA batteries

• 1x TV stand installation packet

• 1x Quick Start Guide

To assemble the base stand to the SHARP 65FP6EA, you will need a cross head screwdriver. To avoid damage to the TV screen during assembly, ensure the TV is placed on a soft, flat surface with the LCD screen facing downwards. The stand consists of a left (L) and right (R) piece, which are attached to the bottom of the television using the 6 screws provided.

1. If rubber parts, foam parts, or tape are attached to the TV frame, please remove them gently.

2. Using an antenna cable (not supplied), connect the TV to the antenna wall socket.

3. For a wired internet connection, connect a Cat 5/Ethernet cable (not included) from the TV to your broadband modem/router.

4. Insert the supplied batteries into the Remote control.

5. Connect the power cable to the Electrical outlet.

6. Press the Standby button to power on the TV.

7. After turning the TV on, you will be welcomed by the First Time Installation menu.

8. Please select a language for the TV menu.

9. Please set desired settings in the remaining screens of the First installation menu.

To switch between the different input/connections using the buttons on the remote control:

1. Press [SOURCE] – The source menu will appear.

2. Press [▲] or [▼] to select the input you require.

3. Press [OK].

• Use the (▲/▼/◀/►) remote control buttons to focus on the desired item.

• Press the OK button to select the item currently in focus.

• Press the BACK button to go back one step in the menu.

• Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

• Press the (home) button to enter the TV Home menu.

• To enter the Live TV menu, press the TV button and then press the MENU button.

1. STANDBY – Switch on the TV when in standby or vice versa. By long pressing this button, the set will display a menu offering a power-down option to enter energy-saving standby mode.

2. SOURCE – Displays the input/source menu.

3. NUMBER BUTTONS 0-9 – To select a TV channel directly.

4. MUTE – Mutes the sound or vice versa.

5. GUIDE – Opens the 7-day TV guide (digital TV mode).

6. MENU – Displays the LIVE TV menu. This button works only in sources (TV, HDMI, Component, etc.). It will not work in the Home Menu.

7. Google Assistant – Use your voice to access entertainment, control smart devices, obtain answers on screen, and more.

8. INFO – Press once to view information about the programme you are currently watching. Press again to view detailed information. Press ► while the information panel is displayed to view information about the upcoming programme.

9. ▲/▼/◀/►/OK – Allows you to navigate the on-screen menus and adjust the system settings to your preference.

10. BACK – Step back in the menu.

11. HOME – Displays the TV’s Home Menu.

12. EXIT – Exits all menus.

13. VOL (+/-) – Tilt to increase/decrease the sound level.

14. CH (+/-) – Tilt to switch to the next/previous channel in the sequence.

15. NETFLIX – Access the Netflix App.

16. Prime video – Access the Prime video App.

17. YouTube – Access the YouTube App.

18. Freeview Play – Access the Freeview Play service. Only available in the UK.

19. AUDIO – Opens the audio track menu.

20. SUB – Turns on/off subtitles at the bottom of the screen.

21. TEXT – Turns teletext on/off.

22. TV – Switches the TV to the last watched input.

23. ►|| – Play/pause media.

24. ◄◄ – Play in fast rewind mode.

25. ►► – Play in fast forward mode.

26. ■ – Stop playback.

27. COLOUR BUTTONS – Execute the corresponding function at that time.

The On/Off button is located on the bottom side of the LED light. Press this button to switch on/off the TV.

This TV supports playback of a wide variety of file types from a USB drive. However, for data security reasons, Google limits the supported file system types. To playback any media from a USB storage drive, the USB drive must be formatted to a FAT16 or FAT32 file system. NTFS is not supported.

You can find more useful information directly from your TV. To launch the online manual, press the (home) button, select Apps from the Home menu, and select “Instruction Manual” from the apps list. NOTE: An Internet connection is required to use this electronic manual.

Please read and respect the following safety instructions and warnings before operating the appliance:

• In order to prevent fire, always keep candles and other open flames away from this product.

• This is a Class II or double insulated electrical appliance, which does not require a safety connection to electrical earth.

• TVs with 43″ screens or more must be lifted by at least two people.

• Do not remove the rear part of the appliance.

• Do not expose the TV to dripping or splashing liquid.

• To disconnect the TV from mains, unplug the mains plug from the socket.

• Ensure the TV has sufficient ventilation (at least 5 cm from the wall) and is not close to other appliances.

• The TV is designed for use in a moderate climate and a dry place.

• Do not place objects on the TV, especially containers with liquids.

• Place the TV on a flat, stable surface.

• Ensure the appliance does not stand on any power cables.

• Avoid placing the appliance near heating elements or in direct sunlight.

• Before a storm, disconnect all cables and connectors from the appliance.

• To clean the screen, use only a damp and soft cloth with clean water. Never use detergents or solvents.

• WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. It may fall, causing serious personal injury or death.

• Educate children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the TV.

The recommended TV operating conditions are:

• Temperature from +10 to +35 °C

• Humidity no more than 80% (at a temperature of 25 °C)

• Atmospheric pressure from 86 to 106 kPa (from 650 to 800 mmHg)

The extended use of fixed image program material can cause a permanent “shadow image” on the LCD screen, sometimes referred to as “burnout”. This damage is irreversible. You can avoid such damage by following the instructions below:

• Reduce the brightness/contrast setting to a minimum viewing level.

• Do not display a fixed image for a long period of time. Avoid displaying:

» Teletext time and charts,

» TV/DVD menu, e.g. DVD contents,

» In the “Pause” mode (hold): Do not use this mode for a long time, e.g. while watching a DVD or a video.

• Turn off the appliance if you are not using it.

• CAUTION: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

• Observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

• Do not expose batteries to high temperatures and do not place them on locations where the temperature might increase quickly, e.g. near the fire or in direct sunshine.

• Do not expose batteries to excessive radiant heat, do not throw them into the fire, do not disassemble them, and do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. They could leak or explode.

» Never use different batteries together or mix new and old ones.

» Dispose of batteries in an environmentally friendly way.

» Most of the EU countries regulate the disposal of batteries by law.
