The supply of the SHARP 65FP4EA includes the following parts:

To assemble the base stand for your SHARP 65FP4EA, you will need a cross head screwdriver. To avoid damaging the TV screen, ensure the TV is placed on a soft, flat surface with the LCD screen facing downwards before you begin assembly.

1. If rubber parts, foam parts, or tape are attached to the TV frame, please remove them gently.

2. Using an antenna cable (not supplied), connect the TV to the antenna wall socket.

3. For a wired internet connection, connect a Cat 5/Ethernet cable (not included) from the TV to your broadband modem/router.

4. Insert the supplied batteries into the Remote control.

5. Connect the power cable to the electrical outlet.

6. Press the Standby button to power on the TV.

7. After turning the TV on, you will be welcomed by the First Time Installation menu.

8. Select your preferred language for the TV menu.

9. Set your desired settings in the remaining screens of the First Installation menu.

To switch between different input/connections using the remote control:

1. Press the [SOURCE] button. The source menu will appear.

2. Press [▲] or [▼] to select the input you require.

3. Press [OK].

• Use the (▲/▼/◄/►) remote control buttons to focus on the desired item.

• Press the OK button to select the item currently in focus.

• Press the BACK button to go back one step in the menu.

• Press the EXIT button to leave the menu.

• Press the (home) button to enter the TV Home menu.

• To enter the Live TV menu, press the TV button and then press the MENU button.

The SHARP 65FP4EA supports playback of a wide variety of file types from a USB drive. For data security reasons, Google limits the supported file system types. To play any media from a USB storage drive, the USB drive must be formatted to a FAT16 or FAT32 file system. NTFS is not supported.

The On/Off button is located on the bottom side of the LED light. Press this button to switch the TV on or off.

Alternatively, you can use the standby button on the remote control. By long pressing this button, the set will display a menu offering a power-down option to enter an energy-saving standby mode. This mode is the default when turning the set off.

1. (standby): Switches the TV on when in standby or vice versa. A long press displays a menu to power down into energy-saving standby mode.

2. SOURCE: Displays the input/source menu.

3. NUMBER BUTTONS (0-9): Select a TV channel directly.

4. (mute): Mutes the sound or vice versa.

5. GUIDE: Opens the 7-day TV guide in digital TV mode.

6. MENU: Displays the LIVE TV menu. This button works only in sources like TV, HDMI, Component, etc., but not in the Home Menu.

7. Google Assistant: Use your voice to access entertainment, control smart devices, and get answers on screen.

8. INFO: Press once to view information about the current programme. Press again for detailed information. Press ► while the information panel is displayed to view information about the upcoming programme.

9. (▲/▼/◄/►/OK): Navigate on-screen menus and adjust system settings.

10. BACK: Steps back one level in the menu.

11. (home): Displays the TV’s Home Menu.

12. EXIT: Exits all menus.

13. VOL (+/-): Tilt to increase/decrease the sound level.

14. CH (+/-): Tilt to switch to the next/previous channel.

15. NETFLIX: Access the Netflix App.

16. Prime video: Access the Prime video App.

17. YouTube: Access the YouTube App.

18. Freeview Play: Access the Freeview Play service (Only available in the UK).

19. AUDIO: Opens the audio track menu.

20. SUB: Turns on/off subtitles at the bottom of the screen.

21. TEXT: Turns teletext on/off.

22. TV: Switches the TV to the last watched input.

23. ►||: Play/pause media.

24. ◄◄: Play in fast rewind mode.

25. ►►: Play in fast forward mode.

26. ■: Stop playback.

27. COLOUR BUTTONS: Execute the corresponding function at that time.

The extended use of a fixed image program material can cause a permanent “shadow image” on the LCD screen. This damage is irreversible. You can avoid such damage by following the instructions below:

• Reduce the brightness/contrast setting to a minimum viewing level.

• Do not display a fixed image for a long period of time. Avoid displaying:

» Teletext time and charts,

» TV/DVD menu, e.g. DVD contents,

» In the “Pause” mode (hold): Do not use this mode for a long time, e.g. while watching a DVD or a video.

• Turn off the appliance if you are not using it.

Please read and respect the following safety instructions and warnings before operating your SHARP 65FP4EA:

• To prevent fire, always keep candles and other open flames away from this product.

• Television sets with 43″ size screens or more must be lifted and carried by at least two people.

• Do not remove the rear part of the appliance.

• Mobile phones and other wireless devices might cause electromagnetic interference and should not be placed near the appliance.

• Do not place the appliance near heating elements or in a place with direct sunlight.

• Before a storm, you should disconnect all cables and connectors of the appliance.

• To clean the screen, use only a damp and soft cloth with clean water. Never use detergents or solvents.

• Position the TV close to the wall to avoid the possibility of it falling when pushed.

• WARNING – Never place a television set in an unstable location. A television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Use cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer, or furniture that can safely support the television.

• Ensure children do not climb or hang onto the TV.

• Never connect any external devices to a live appliance. Switch off not only the TV but also the devices which are being connected. Plug the TV into the wall socket only after connecting any external devices and the aerial.

• CAUTION: Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

• Observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries.

• Do not expose batteries to high temperatures, such as near a fire or in direct sunshine.

• Do not expose batteries to excessive radiant heat, do not throw them into the fire, do not disassemble them, and do not try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries as they could leak or explode.

• Never use different batteries together or mix new and old ones.

• Dispose of batteries in an environmentally friendly way, following local regulations.
