NOTICE: YOUR SAFE IS ONLY PART OF YOUR TOTAL SECURITY PROTECTION. SentrySafe recommends that you store your safe in a closet, office, basement, bedroom or any other location that is convenient for you but out of direct line of sight from prying eyes. The location of the safe does not affect the safe’s ability to protect your valuables inside.

To prepare your safe, insert the override key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise. Do not lock the key inside the safe, as this is an override key and will open the safe in the event that you have lost your code.

Step 1. Remove the battery pack cover.

Step 2. Pull out the battery pack, but keep it connected to the wires.

Step 3. Insert four NEW AA alkaline batteries.

NOTE: Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of non-alkaline battery. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline and standard batteries.

All safe models initially work with the factory code 1, 2, 3, 4, 1. It is important to re-program your safe with a new user code you have personally selected to provide maximum security. To use the factory code, press any button once to bring the safe out of standby mode, then enter 1, 2, 3, 4, 1. The Green LED will light.

To Program a New Electronic Code:

Step 1. Find the Reset button located behind the battery pack.

Step 2. Press and hold the Reset button until the keypad flashes 3 times. The LEDs remain on to indicate it is ready to accept a new user code.

Step 3. Enter a user code that is four, five or six digits long.

A successful programming of the user code is indicated when the LED light flashes green three times. When you are finished programming your safe, replace the battery pack cover.

NOTE:

– The user code or fingerprint programmed will not be erased when the battery power is removed.

– If you program a four or five digit user code, you will need to wait 10 seconds until your code is accepted. This is only valid during the setup of your safe. If you program a six digit user code, then the light will immediately turn green.

– If the red LED flashes 3 times, programming failed.

Step 1. Press and hold the Reset button until the keypad flashes 3 times.

Step 2. Enter a new user code that is four, five or six digits long. The safe will then automatically erase the previous user code.

You can program up to four fingerprints.

Step 1. Press and hold the Reset button until the keypad flashes 3 times. The LEDs will remain on to indicate that the safe is ready to accept two new fingerprints.

Step 2. Swipe the first finger across the fingerprint scanner multiple times. The LED light will flash green once for each valid scan.

Step 3. When enough valid scans have been recorded (usually 5-10 scans), there will be a brief pause and the LED light will flash green 3 times to indicate successful programming.

Step 4. Immediately add a second fingerprint following the registration of the previous one. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as indicated above.

Step 1. Press and hold the Reset button until the keypad flashes 3 times. Once the LEDs remain on, press and hold the Reset button again until the LEDs flash. The LEDs will remain on to indicate that the safe is ready to accept two new fingerprints.

Step 2. Repeat the steps for programming primary user fingerprints.

Step 1. Press and hold the Reset button until the keypad flashes 3 times. The LEDs remain on to indicate the safe is ready to erase fingerprints.

Step 2. Swipe a programmed fingerprint once and wait 10 seconds. The red LED will flash 3 times to indicate all programmed fingerprints have been erased.

The interior LED light interval is programmable for three different time intervals: 0, 10, or 20 seconds. The factory preset interval is 10 seconds. The chosen interval setting is stored in non-volatile memory and your registered user code and fingerprints are unaffected by changing the interval.

Programming Steps:

Step 1. Open the safe using your programmed user code, fingerprint, or override key. Wait for the interior lights to turn off (default is 10 seconds).

Step 2. Hold down any button on the keypad for 3 seconds. The green LED light will turn on, indicating the safe is ready to accept a new time interval.

Step 3. Press and hold the designated keypad buttons as shown in the table below to set your desired time interval. The green LED light will flash two times and the interior LEDs will illuminate, indicating successful programming. If the interval is incorrectly programmed, a red LED light will flash one time.

Close the lid. Once the lid is closed, the safe is securely locked.

NOTE: The override key needs to be in the locked position. Remove and store it in a secure location.

NOTE: When not in use, the safe will go into standby mode. This is a lower power mode. Pressing a button will end the standby mode.

Before putting valuables inside, test your code several times.

To unlock using the electronic code:

Step 1. Press any button once to bring the safe out of standby mode.

Step 2. Enter your programmed user code.

To unlock using the override key:

Insert the override key into the keyhole and turn it clockwise.

To unlock using the biometric lock (on select models):

Step 1. Press any button once or touch the fingerprint scanner to bring the safe out of standby mode.

Step 2. Swipe a programmed finger.

Bolt-Down Kit Contents:

– 2 Screws

– 2 Washers

Tools Needed:

– Drill

– Wrench

– 9/32 in (7.2 mm) drill bit – for drilling into wood

– 3/8 in (9.5 mm) drill bit – for drilling into masonry

This product is intended to be mounted with a horizontal orientation. Do NOT drill from any location inside the safe.

Step 1. Select a suitable location for your safe. Set the safe in place, and use the pre-drilled holes provided on the bottom of the safe to mark the location of the holes to be drilled in the surface.

Step 2. Move the safe and drill the marked holes in the surface using the appropriate diameter and depth for the type of hardware and the mounting surface.

Step 3. Replace the safe over the newly created holes.

Step 4. Install the screws and washers as required.

This indicates that an incorrect code or fingerprint has been entered, or there was a programming error. You should verify the code/fingerprint and re-enter, or reprogram the safe.

This happens when an incorrect code or fingerprint has been entered five times. You should wait for two minutes or use the override key to access the safe.

This indicates that the battery power is low. You should replace the batteries with four AA alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries or any other type of non-alkaline battery.

This indicates a system error or power failure. This may be resolved by replacing the batteries.

This can happen if the batteries have reached the end of their life. Replace them with four new AA alkaline batteries.

This indicates the gas strut has stopped working. Use a magnet to open the lid. Turn the unlocked unit upside down for the lid to open.

This is likely due to an incorrect code entry during the programming process. Close the lid and follow the “Programming Method for Interior LED Interval” instructions again carefully.
