How do I perform the initial entry into my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
1. Locate your backup keys. Remove the cover from the backup key entry on the door of the safe.
2. Insert the key and turn to unlock.
3. Turn the handle clockwise to unlock. Open the safe door, then turn the handle back to its starting position so the locking plates are extended. Remove the backup key and set it aside. WARNING: Do not store backup keys inside of safe.
4. Locate the 4 x AA batteries. Install them into the battery compartment on the inside of the door panel. The unit will beep when batteries are successfully installed. Replace the battery cover.
What are the warnings for battery installation in the SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW?
The batteries must be inserted with the correct polarity. Exhausted batteries must be removed from the product and discarded safely. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline or standard (carbon-zinc) batteries. Do not use rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
How do I install the shelves in my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
1. Remove the screws using a Phillips head screwdriver. Next, remove the metal shipping brackets.
2. Choose the level you want your shelf at.
3. Insert 4 black plastic clips into the holes, ensuring the shelf will be level.
4. Set the shelf on top of the clips to complete installation.
How do I set a new security code for my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
Your safe comes programmed with a factory code of [1 5 9 #]. For maximum security, you must re-program your safe with a new security code.
1. On the inside of the door, locate the protective cap.
2. Unscrew and remove the cap, revealing the reset button. Press the reset button.
3. You will hear 1 beep and the keypad and yellow LED will illuminate indicating that you are in programming mode.
4. Enter your new 3 to 8 digit security code followed by the [*] symbol.
5. If the code is accepted, the green LED will flash 2 times. If the code is not accepted, the red LED will flash 5 times. Press the programming button and start again.
6. Confirm your new security code by re-entering your new code. If the code is not accepted, restart the programming process. Replace the reset button cap when done.
INACTIVITY TIMEOUT: If this programming sequence is not completed within 10 seconds, the keypad will beep 5 times and the red LED will flash 5 times. Return to step 1 to restart this process.
What is the Lockout Mode/Tamper Protection on the SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
5 consecutive rejected security code entries puts the safe in Lockout Mode. The keypad is deactivated for 5 minutes.
NOTE: At the start of lockout, you will hear 1 long beep and the red LED will light up once every 10 seconds. When Lockout Mode has ended, the red LED will flash 1 time and you will hear 1 beep. You will now have access to your keypad.
How do I use Silent Entry Mode on the SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
To turn on Silent Entry Mode, press and hold any button on the keypad for 5 seconds. The green LED will flash 1 time indicating the safe is now in Silent Entry Mode.
To exit Silent Entry Mode, press and hold any button on the keypad for 5 seconds. The green LED will flash 1 time and will beep indicating you are no longer in Silent Entry Mode.
What should I do if I am locked out of my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
In the event you are locked out of your safe, use your backup keys to gain access and follow the steps in the Security Code Setup instructions.
How do I know if the batteries are low on my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
This safe is equipped with Low Battery Mode. The keypad will flash yellow each time a number is entered on the keypad. Immediately replace the safe’s battery to avoid being locked out of your safe.
NOTE: If the keypad is accepting your entry code but still not opening, it is highly recommended to replace your batteries and try again.

• Wrench – 1/2″ (13mm)

• (2) 1/4″ Lag Bolts between 2.0″ – 3.0″ in length
• (2) 1/4″ ID x 5/8″ OD round steel washers
• (2) 1/4″ Plastic ribbed concrete anchors (if mounted in concrete)
How do I secure my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe to the floor?
WARNING: Your safe is designed to support itself when the door is opened. However, caution should be used to avoid tipping. While securing your safe, be sure to have a second person hold and stabilize the safe to keep it from tipping, causing injury, and/or damaging the safe and surrounding structures.
WARNING: Always ensure the safe is in an isolated and dry area. Never place the safe in direct contact with a wet floor. We recommend using a moisture/protective barrier to prevent damage.
1. Open your safe door and remove the black caps on the safe floor. This will provide access to the factory drilled bolt down holes.
2. To secure your safe to the floor, it will first be necessary to drill pilot holes in the floor surface.
3. For concrete floor installation, we recommend using a hammer drill and 3/8″ concrete drill bit to drill the two corresponding holes in the concrete floor.
4. Insert and drive the plastic anchoring plugs into the pilot holes. You may need to use a hammer to fully insert the plugs into the pilot holes.
5. Secure the safe by threading all anchor bolts through the factory drilled bolt down holes in the bottom of the safe and torque each down tightly.
6. Replace the black caps onto the floor of the safe.
What are the recommendations for proper placement of the SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
• To maximize burglary protection and stability, secure your safe to the floor.
• It is recommended that you store your safe in a closet, office, basement, bedroom, or any other location that is convenient for you but out of direct line of sight from prying eyes.
• Always ensure the safe is in an isolated and dry area. Never place the safe in direct contact with a wet floor. We recommend using a moisture/protective barrier to prevent damage.
How can I keep my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe dry and prevent moisture damage?
• We recommend placing a moisture/protective barrier between your safe and concrete floor to prevent any moisture, mildew, and rust damage the safe. Installing your safe in a place with climate control (heat in the winter and cooling in the summer) is highly recommended.
• In areas of high humidity or frequent temperature fluctuations (garages) it is recommended to take appropriate precautions to ward against moisture damage.
• We strongly encourage the use of an internal dehumidifier and/or desiccants to protect your contents from rust or mildew. Internal dehumidifiers should not be in direct contact with the side or back walls.
What are the best practices for loading my SANCTUARY ONYX BM25S-2014-BW safe?
• Store documents or heat-sensitive items in the bottom of the safe for greatest protection against fire damage. Store ammunition separately from your firearms.
• Do not put anything in your safe that will put pressure against the door when it is closed.
