The following software is available for the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X. You can install the printer driver and software when you insert the software CD into your CD-ROM drive. For Windows, select the printer driver and software in the Select Software to Install window.

Note: When using the display screen, use your finger only. The screen may be damaged by a sharp pen or other objects. The screen may not operate properly if an unauthorized protective film is attached, if it is covered with dust, if there is a foreign substance between the screen and frame, or if it is touched with a wet finger.

You can rotate the control panel 90 degrees. When you rotate the control panel, the screen orientation adjusts automatically to match the orientation of the control panel. Note that some features do not support screen rotation.

Your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X has a built-in network interface card. To connect your machine to a network, plug one end of a standard network cable into the network port on the rear of the machine and the other end into a network connection point, such as a router or wall outlet.

To turn on the machine, follow these steps:

1. Plug the power cord into the power receptacle on the machine. Use only the power cord supplied with the machine to avoid damage or fire.

2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a properly grounded AC outlet.

You can customize your home screen by adding shortcuts and widgets.

Adding a Shortcut from the Home Screen

1. Tap the (Home) icon to go to the main home screen.

2. Touch and hold the home screen to view a list of available shortcuts to select from.

3. You can add: Apps, XOA Apps, Widgets and Programs, Folders, or add a new Page.

Adding a Shortcut from the Apps Menu

1. Tap the (Home) icon.

2. Tap the icon to view your current applications.

3. Scroll through the list and locate the desired application.

4. Touch and hold the application icon. This creates a shortcut and shows the main home screen.

5. Drag the shortcut to a desired position on the screen and release it.

Adding a Widget

Widgets are self-contained applications that reside on the home screen. Available widgets include Bookmarks, Copy, Fax, Scan, and more.

1. Tap the (Home) icon.

2. Tap the icon and tap the Widget tab at the top of the screen.

3. Scroll through the list and locate your desired widget.

4. Touch and hold the widget icon. This creates a copy of the widget and opens the main home screen.

5. Drag the widget to a desired position on the screen and release it.

Deleting a Shortcut or Widget

Touch and hold a shortcut or widget until it becomes movable. Drag it to the trash icon that appears.

To customize the wallpaper (background) of your home screens:

1. From any home screen, touch and hold on an empty area of the screen. Then select the Set wallpaper option.

2. Tap one of the following options:

Home Screen: Set the wallpaper for the Home Screen.

Login Screen: Set the wallpaper for the Login Screen.

Home and Login Screen: Set the wallpaper for both screens.

3. Tap one of the following options in the next window:

Gallery: Select a wallpaper from photographs and images in the machine’s gallery.

Live wallpapers: Select an animated image.

Wallpapers: Select from several built-in stationary images.

4. Select a wallpaper and tap OK, Set wallpaper, or Cancel.

Job Status

When you tap Job Status from the home screen or Apps, the screen lists:

Current Job: Displays a list of jobs in progress and pending.

Completed Job: Displays a list of completed jobs, including information about jobs in which an error has occurred.

Secure Print / Fax: Displays a list of secured jobs. You need to enter the ID and Password to release them.

Active Notice: Displays any error messages and codes that have occurred.

Counter

You can check how many pages/jobs were printed, copied, scanned, and faxed-out. Tap Counter from the home screen or Apps. You can check the counter by device or users.

Total Usage: Shows the usage count by job types (Print, Copy, Fax Print, Report, Total).

Large Page Usage: Shows the count of A3 jobs.

Send Usage: Shows the count of Send jobs (Email, SMB, FTP, USB, PC, Others).

Fax Send Usage (PSTN): Shows the count of Fax Send Usage.

User Usage (Login user only): Each category shows the printing usage by user.

When you touch an input area, a pop-up QWERTY keyboard appears on the screen. The keyboard has the following functions:

Shift key: Tap this key to enter one upper-case letter. Tap this key twice to toggle caps-lock.

Symbol/Numeric Mode (?123): Tap this key to enter numbers, symbols, and emoticons.

ABC Mode (ABC): Tap this key to return the keyboard layout to the default letter keys.

Space bar: Tap this key to enter a space.

Using the Software CD (Windows 7 and earlier)

1. Make sure the machine is connected to your computer via USB cable (no longer than 3 meters) and powered on.

2. Insert the supplied software CD into your CD-ROM drive.

3. If the installation window does not appear, click Start > All programs > Accessories > Run. Type X:\Setup.exe (replacing “X” with your CD-ROM drive letter) and click OK.

4. Review and accept the installation agreements, then click Next.

5. Select USB on the Printer Connection Type screen. Then, click Next.

6. Follow the instructions in the installation window to complete the process.

From the Windows 8 Start Screen (via Windows Update)

1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Internet and powered on.

2. Make sure the machine is powered on.

3. Connect the computer and the machine with a USB cable.

4. The driver is automatically installed from Windows Update.

To install the driver on a Mac:

1. Make sure that the machine is connected to your computer and powered on.

2. Insert the supplied software CD into your CD-ROM drive.

3. Double-click the CD-ROM icon that appears on your Mac desktop (or on Finder for Mac OS X 10.8 or higher).

4. Double-click the MAC_Installer folder > Installer OS X icon.

5. Click Continue.

6. Read the license agreement and click Continue.

7. Click Agree to agree to the license agreement.

8. Click Install. All components necessary for machine operations will be installed.

9. Enter the password and click OK (or Install Software).

10. Select USB Connected Printer on the Printer Connection Type and click Continue.

11. Click the Add Printer button to select your printer and add it to your printer list.

12. After the installation is finished, click Close.

You must log in as a super user (root) to install the machine software.

1. Make sure that the machine is connected to your computer and powered on.

2. Download the Linux software package from the Samsung website.

3. Open a Terminal program and go to the folder where you copied the package.

4. Extract the package.

5. Move to the `uld` folder.

6. Execute the “./install.sh” command. If you’re not logged in as root, execute the command with “sudo” as “sudo ./install.sh”.

7. Proceed with the installation.

8. When installation is finished, launch the printing utility (Go to System > Administration > Printing or execute “system-config-printer” in the Terminal program).

9. Click the Add button.

10. Select your printer.

11. Click the Forward button to add it to your system.

If the printer driver does not work properly, follow these steps to reinstall it.

1. Make sure the machine is connected to your computer and powered on.

2. Go to uninstall the software:

For Windows 7 and earlier: From the Start menu, select Programs or All Programs > Samsung Printers > Uninstall Samsung Printer Software.

For Windows 8: From Charms, select Search > Apps. Search for and click Control Panel. Click Programs and Features. Right-click the driver you want to uninstall and select Uninstall.

3. Follow the instructions in the uninstallation window.

4. After uninstallation is complete, insert the software CD into your CD-ROM drive and install the driver again.

You can load originals on the scanner glass or in the dual scan document feeder (DSDF).

On the scanner glass

Using the scanner glass is best for scan quality, especially for colored or gray-scaled images. Ensure no originals are in the DSDF, as it has priority.

1. Open the DSDF.

2. Place the original face down on the scanner glass and align it with the registration guide at the top left corner of the glass.

3. Close the DSDF.

In the dual scan document feeder (DSDF)

1. Before loading, flex and fan the edge of the stack of originals to separate the pages.

2. Load the originals face up in the DSDF. Make sure the back edge of the stack lines up with the paper size marked on the document input tray.

3. Adjust the document width guides to fit the paper size.

Loading Paper in the Standard Tray

1. Squeeze the handle and pull out the tray.

2. Squeeze the paper length guide and pull it to the end of the tray.

3. Squeeze the paper width guide and pull it to the end of the tray.

4. Flex and fan the edge of the paper stack to separate the pages before loading.

5. Load paper with the print side facing up.

6. Adjust the paper length guide to the desired paper length.

7. After loading paper, pinch the paper width guide and move it toward the stack of paper until it lightly touches the side of the stack. Do not press too tightly.

8. Ensure the paper is below the maximum paper capacity guide inside the tray.

9. Insert the tray back into the machine.

Loading Paper in the Multi-purpose Tray

This tray is useful for special sizes and types of print material.

1. Open the multi-purpose tray and pull out the extension if necessary.

2. Flex or fan the edge of the paper stack to separate the pages.

3. Load the paper with the side to be printed on facing down.

4. Squeeze the multi-purpose tray paper width guides and adjust them to the width of the paper.

When printing on special media, follow these guidelines:

Envelopes:

Use envelopes with a weight not exceeding 90 g/m2. Prior to printing, envelopes should lie flat with less than 6 mm of curl and should not be wrinkled, nicked, damp, or damaged. Use only well-constructed envelopes compatible with laser printers. Avoid stamped envelopes, envelopes with clasps, snaps, or self-adhesive seals.

Transparencies:

Use only transparencies designed for use in laser printers. They must be able to withstand the machine’s fusing temperature. Place them on a flat surface after removing them from the machine. Handle them carefully to avoid smudging.

Labels:

Use only labels designed for use in laser machines. The adhesive material should be stable at the machine’s fusing temperature (about 170°C). Use label sheets with no exposed backing between labels. Do not run a sheet of labels through the machine more than once.

Card stock/Custom-sized paper:

Do not print on media smaller than 98 mm wide or 148 mm long. In the software application, set margins to at least 6.4 mm away from the edges.

Letterhead/Preprinted paper:

Must be printed with heat-resistant ink that will not melt or release hazardous emissions at the machine’s fusing temperature. The ink must be non-flammable and not adversely affect machine rollers. Ensure the ink is dry before loading.

To change detailed tray settings, tap Settings > Tray Settings on the display screen and select the tray and options you want to configure.

Paper Size: Allows you to change the paper size. You can also set and save a custom size.

Paper Type: Allows you to change the paper type.

Options (Scroll by swiping up and down)

Auto Tray Switch: Determines if the machine automatically continues printing from another tray (e.g., tray 2) if the first tray (tray 1) runs out of paper of the same size.

Auto Continue: Allows the machine to continue printing with a similar or larger size paper if the set paper size is mismatched with the paper in the tray.

Paper Substitution: Allows the machine to substitute a similar paper size (e.g., A4 for Letter) if the requested paper for a print job is not available.

Tray Confirmation Message: When you load paper into a tray, you can set a confirmation message to appear automatically.

Tray Protection: If you set a tray to ‘On’, that tray will be excluded during tray switching.

Tray Priority Settings: You can set the tray priority for printing.

Tray Lock: You can set the tray lock (requires optional Cassette Locking Kit).

To Perform a Basic Print Job:

1. Open the document you want to print.

2. Select Print from the File menu.

3. Select your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X from the Select Printer list.

4. To use advanced features, click Properties or Preferences to open the printing preferences window.

5. Click OK or Print in the Print window to start the job.

To Cancel a Print Job:

If the print job is waiting in the print queue or spooler, you can cancel it.

You can access the print queue window by double-clicking the machine icon in the Windows taskbar.

Alternatively, you can cancel the print job with the Cancel Print button from the Samsung Printer Status program window.

You can access Printing Preferences from the Print dialog box in any application. The preferences are organized into several tabs:

Favorites Tab: Allows you to choose pre-defined settings like Normal Printing, Double Sided Printing, or Secure Printing. You can also save your current settings as a new favorite.

Basic Tab:

Orientation: Select Portrait or Landscape.

1. Tap Quick Copy from the home screen or Apps.

2. Place the originals face up in the document feeder (DSDF) or place a single original face down on the scanner glass and close the DSDF.

3. Adjust the settings for Paper Source, Reduce/Enlarge, Original Orientation, Darkness, Duplex, N-UP, and Collation.

4. Enter the desired number of copies on the numeric keypad (or use the +, – button) on the control panel, if necessary.

5. Press Start on the control panel to begin copying.

Your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X can print 2-sided originals on one sheet, which is helpful for copying small-sized items like business cards or ID cards. The machine prints one side on the upper or left half and the other side on the lower or right half without reducing the original size.

Note: The original must be placed on the scanner glass to use this feature. Leave a little space between the edge of the scanner glass and the original to ensure the entire item is printed.

1. Tap ID Copy from the home screen or Apps.

2. If necessary, adjust settings such as Print Layout, Original Size, Paper Source, Adjust to Paper Size, and Align by following the instructions on the control panel.

3. Place the front side of the ID card on the scanner glass where the arrows indicate. Close the scanner lid.

4. Tap Start. Your machine will begin scanning the front side.

5. Place the back side of the ID card on the scanner glass where the arrows indicate. Close the scanner lid.

6. Tap Next. Your machine will begin scanning the back side and then print the copy.

The Manual ID Copy menu allows you to customize the ID Copy layout to print 1 to 4 originals on one sheet. You can define the scanning position of the originals and the layout of the printed sheet. The original must be placed on the scanner glass for this feature.

1. From the home or Apps screen, tap ID Copy > Manual.

2. Select the Template and Paper Source. If you cannot find a suitable template, you can edit it.

3. Follow the instructions on the control panel.

Note: If the original is larger than the printable area, some portions may not be printed.

You can customize and create a new template for the Manual ID Copy feature. To do so, you need to configure the default ID Copy and Manual ID Copy templates in the ID Copy Settings menu.

1. From the home or Apps screen, tap ID Copy > sub menu (action overflow) > ID Copy Settings > New.

2. Tap the Template Name text box, and then type the name of the template.

3. Tap the Number of images dropdown menu, and then select the number of images to include on the output sheet.

4. Input the location of the original on the scanner glass (mm). You define the scan area using two sets of x and y coordinates: (Left, Top) and (Right, Bottom).

5. Input the coordinates for the Image Position (mm) on the printed page. This specifies where to print the scanned images using two sets of x and y coordinates for the top left and bottom right corners of the printed ID.

To delete a custom Manual ID Copy template, follow these steps:

1. From the home or Apps screen, tap ID Copy > sub menu (action overflow) > ID Copy Settings > Manual ID Copy Setup.

2. Select a template you wish to delete.

3. Tap Delete.

4. When the warning dialog box appears, tap OK.

Follow this procedure to scan your original documents:

1. Tap Scan & Send from the home screen or Apps.

2. Place the originals face up in the document feeder (DSDF) or place a single original face down on the scanner glass and close the DSDF.

3. Adjust the settings in the Send tab and More tab.

4. Tap the From field, and then input the sender’s information.

5. Tap to add an email address or fax number as a destination. To send the scan to a different destination, tap the +Me, Email, SMB, FTP, Box, USB, PC buttons or the Address book icon.

6. Tap Start from the control panel to begin the scan.

To cancel the current send job, tap Stop, then tap Job Status on the control panel, and delete the job you want.

Virtual hard keys are located on the right side of the screen. When an app is launched for the first time, the virtual hard keys are shown. If the expand/collapse icon is touched, the virtual hard keys are hidden or shown.

The Preview section displays the original’s type and provides several functions:

The ID Send menu allows you to scan and send 2-sided originals onto one sheet. It scans one side of the original on the upper or left half of the sheet and the other side on the lower or right half without reducing the size. You can send the image to an SMB, FTP, or Email address, or save it to the Box or a USB storage device.

Note: The original must be placed on the scanner glass to use this feature. Leave a little space between the edge of the glass and the original to avoid part of it being cut off.

1. From the home or Apps screen, tap Scan & Send > sub menu (action overflow) > ID Send.

2. Tap the From field and input the sender’s information.

3. Select a destination using the available options (Add Destination, +Me, Email, SMB, FTP, Box, USB, PC, or Address book).

4. If necessary, adjust settings for Image Layout, Original Size, Send Size, Align, File Name, File Format, and Resolution.

5. Place the front side of the ID where the arrows indicate on the scanner glass. Close the scanner lid.

6. Tap Start. The machine begins scanning the front of the ID.

7. Place the back of the ID where the arrows indicate on the scanner glass. Close the scanner lid.

8. Tap Next. The machine begins scanning the back of the ID and completes the job.

To scan documents using other software, you need to use TWAIN-compliant software, such as Adobe Photoshop. Follow these steps to scan with TWAIN-compliant software:

1. Make sure that the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X is connected to your computer and powered on.

2. Place the originals face up in the document feeder (DSDF) or place a single original face down on the scanner glass and close the DSDF.

3. Open an application, such as Adobe Photoshop.

4. Open the TWAIN window within the application and set the scan options.

5. Scan and save your scanned images.

To scan from your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X to a Mac connected via USB, follow these steps:

1. Make sure that the machine is connected to your computer via USB and is powered on.

2. Place a single document face down on the document glass, or load the documents face up into the document feeder.

3. Start Applications and click Image Capture.

4. Select the option you want.

5. Scan and save your scanned image.

If you see a “No Image Capture device connected” message, disconnect the USB cable and reconnect it. If the problem continues, refer to the Image Capture’s help. If scanning does not operate, update your Mac OS to the latest version.

To scan from your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X to a Mac over a network, follow these steps:

1. Make sure your machine is connected to a network.

2. Place a single document face down on the document glass, or load the documents face up into the document feeder.

3. Start Applications and click Image Capture.

4. Follow the steps according to your OS version:

– For OS X 10.5: Click Devices > Browse Devices on the Menu bar. Make sure the ‘Connected’ checkbox is checked beside your machine in Bonjour Devices.

– For OS X 10.6 or higher: Select your device below SHARED.

5. Set the scan options on this program.

6. Scan and save your scanned image.

If scanning does not operate in Image Capture, update your Mac OS to the latest version. You can also use TWAIN-compliant software like Adobe Photoshop or the Samsung Scan Assistant software.

To scan documents using a Linux computer with your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X, follow these instructions:

1. Make sure that the machine is connected to your computer and powered on.

2. Launch a scan application such as xsane or simple-scan. If it’s not installed, you will need to install it manually. For example, you may use “yum install xsane” for rpm package systems or “apt-get install xsane” for deb package systems.

3. Select your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X device from the list and set the scan options to apply.

4. Click the Scan button.

Before you can send or receive a fax with your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X, you must connect the supplied cord to a wall jack. It is recommended to use traditional analog phone services like PSTN (public switched telephone network).

If you use internet services (DSL, ISDN, VoIP), you can improve connection quality by using a micro-filter. A micro-filter reduces noise and improves connection quality. The micro-filter connects between the wall jack and your machine’s line port.

Please note that you cannot use this machine as a fax through an internet phone. For more information, ask your internet service provider.

To send a fax directly from your Windows computer, the Samsung Network PC Fax program must be installed. This program can be installed from the software CD provided with your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X.

1. Open the document you want to send.

2. Select Print from the File menu. The Print window will appear.

3. Select Samsung Network PC Fax from the list of printers in the Print window.

4. Click Print or OK.

5. Enter the recipient’s fax number and set any options if necessary.

6. Click Send.

To send a fax from your Mac, the Fax Utilities program must be installed. This program is installed when you install the printer driver for your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X. Before sending a fax, you may need to add a fax driver using Fax Queue Creator. The following steps are based on Mac OS X 10.5 or 10.6.

1. Open the document you want to send.

2. Select Print from the File menu.

3. Select a fax driver from the Printer list.

4. Choose the number of copies and pages.

5. Choose your paper size, orientation, and scale.

6. Enter the recipient’s fax number in the To input box. You can also use Addresses by pressing the button if you have stored numbers.

7. If necessary, enter an access code in Dialing Prefix.

8. If necessary, check Use Cover page to send the fax with a cover page.

9. Enter the subject and message of the fax job.

10. Click Fax.

11. The Fax Queue icon will appear on your Mac dock. Click it to see the status, or to delete, hold, pause, and resume fax jobs.

In some countries, you are required by law to specify your fax number on any fax you send. To set this information, follow these steps:

1. Tap Settings > Fax Settings > Machine ID & Fax No on the display screen.

2. Tap the ID Name input box. The pop-up keyboard will appear.

3. Enter your name or the company name.

4. Tap Done.

5. Tap the Fax Number input box.

6. Enter your fax number using the numeric keypad on the control panel.

7. Tap Done.

8. Tap Back or select other settings.

You can send a fax by placing originals in either the document feeder (DSDF) or on the scanner glass. The machine will read from the DSDF first if originals are in both places.

1. Place the originals face up in the DSDF or a single original face down on the scanner glass and close the DSDF.

2. Tap Scan & Send from the home screen or Apps.

3. Adjust the document settings in the Send tab or More tab.

4. Tap the destination field and enter a fax number directly using the on-screen keypad. After entering the number, you can also use Favorites, Recent, Groups, or Contacts to add more destinations.

– You can send a fax to up to 50 destinations at once.

– You can view and delete a destination from the Destination List.

– To insert a pause, tap ‘P’ while entering the fax number. A dash (-) will appear.

– If you want to use On Hook dial, tap the On Hook icon and enter a fax number using the numeric keypad while you hear the dial tone.

5. Press the Start button to begin the process.

When you are prompted to enter a destination number for your fax, you can use a previously set speed dial number. Your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X can have 1-500 speed dial numbers assigned.

For one-digit speed dial numbers: Press and hold the corresponding number on the numeric keypad on the control panel.

For two or more digit speed dial numbers: Press the first digit button and then press and hold the last number on the numeric keypad on the control panel.

If the recipient’s line is busy or there is no answer when you send a fax, the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X automatically redials the number.

To change the time interval between redials and/or the number of redial attempts, follow these steps:

Tap Settings > Fax Settings > Redial on the display screen and adjust the settings as needed.

Your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X is preset to Fax mode at the factory. When a fax is received, the machine answers after a specified number of rings and automatically receives it. To change the receive mode:

Tap Settings > Fax Settings > Receive Mode on the display screen.

You can choose from the following modes:

Telephone: Allows you to connect a telephone to the machine and use the same line for faxing and phone calls. If you answer an incoming fax on the phone, you must enter the Receive start code (*9*) on the telephone to receive the fax.

Fax: The machine receives incoming faxes normally and immediately enters the fax reception mode.

Answering Machine/Fax: Use when an answering machine is attached to your machine. The machine answers the call, and the caller can leave a message. If the machine senses a fax tone on the line, it automatically switches to Fax mode to receive the fax.

To prevent received faxes from being accessed by unauthorized people, you can turn on Secure Receive mode. This mode restricts printing of incoming faxes when the machine is unattended. All incoming faxes are saved to memory instead of being printed immediately.

Note: Secure Receive mode can only be configured by a user with a passcode on the machine.

1. Tap Settings > Fax Settings > Secure Receive on the display screen.

2. Tap On to enable this feature.

3. If you want to set a passcode, tap the passcode blank and enter a passcode.

4. To have faxes always saved to memory, tap Whole Day. Otherwise, proceed to the next step to set a specific time.

5. Tap Start Time and set the specific start time using the up/down buttons. Tap Set when finished.

6. Tap End Time and set the specific end time using the up/down buttons. Tap Set when finished.

7. Tap the back arrow or select other settings.

When the machine receives a fax in this mode, the Print option becomes available. If you want to print the secured faxes, tap Print. When you turn off the Secure Receive feature, the machine prints any incoming faxes currently stored in the memory.

You can set the default fax options and the most frequently-used fax settings by tapping Settings > Fax Settings on the display screen.

To store an individual address in the address book:

1. Tap Address book on the home screen or Apps > Tap the add icon on the display screen.

2. Tap the Name field, and then enter the name of the recipient. To make the address available to everyone, tap the private icon to change it to public.

3. A Speed No. is automatically assigned with the first unused number. You can also use the Speed No. on the numeric keypad to select an address quickly.

4. Tap the Email input boxes to enter the recipient’s email information.

5. Tap the Fax input box and enter the fax number using the numeric keypad on the control panel. You can enter only numbers, with the area code first if necessary.

6. Tap the SMB, and/or FTP input boxes to enter that information for the recipient. You will need to select a login method (Auto Login, Anonymous, Login Prompt, Single Sign On).

7. Tap OK to save the information.

To store a group of addresses:

1. Tap Address book on the home screen or Apps > Groups > and tap the add icon on the display screen.

2. Tap the Name input field and enter a name for the group.

3. Tap + Add Contact and check the boxes for any addresses you want to include in the group. Tap Done when you are finished.

– To search for a contact, tap the search field in the + Add Contact screen. Enter the first few letters of a contact’s name or tap the search icon to show all contacts.

4. Tap Done to save the information.

To edit an existing address group:

1. Tap Address book > Groups on the home screen or Apps.

2. Tap the name of the group you want to edit and tap the edit icon.

3. Tap the group name input field to change the name of the group.

4. Tap +Add contact and check the boxes for any addresses you want to add to the group. Tap Done when you are finished.

5. To remove an individual address from the group, check the box for that address and tap the delete icon.

6. Tap Done to save the information.

If you want to delete an entire address group, check the box for the group you want to delete and tap the delete icon.

If you have connected your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X to a network and set up TCP/IP network parameters correctly, you can manage the machine via SyncThru Web Service. It allows you to perform various management tasks using a web browser.

With SyncThru Web Service, you can:

– View the machine’s device information and check its current status.

– Change TCP/IP parameters and set up other network parameters.

– Change the printer preference.

– Set up email notifications advising of the machine’s status.

– Get support for using the machine.

– Upgrade machine software.

To connect to the SyncThru Web Service, you need a supported web browser on a computer connected to the same network as your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X.

1. Start a web browser that supports IPv4 or IPv6 addressing as a URL.

2. Enter your machine’s IP address in the address field (e.g., http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx for IPv4, or http://[IPv6_address] for IPv6).

3. Press the Enter key or click Go.

4. Your machine’s SyncThru Web Service website will open.

You can get the machine’s IP address by printing a network configuration report from the machine itself.

The Samsung Printer Center (available for Windows only) allows you to manage all the printer drivers installed on your computer from a single integrated application. You can use it to add and remove printer drivers, check the status of printers, update software, and configure driver settings for your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X.

To open the program:

For Windows, select Start > Programs or All Programs > Samsung Printers > Samsung Printer Center.

Samsung Easy Printer Manager is an application that combines various machine settings into one location. It provides a convenient gateway to use your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X by combining device settings, printing environments, and other actions. It offers both a basic and an advanced user interface.

To open the program:

For Windows: Select Start > Programs or All Programs > Samsung Printers > Samsung Easy Printer Manager.

For Mac: Open the Applications folder > Samsung folder > Samsung Easy Printer Manager.

The Samsung Printer Status is a program that monitors and informs you of the machine’s status. The features available in the Samsung Printer Status window are described below.

Samsung Printer Experience is a Samsung application that combines machine settings and management into one location. You can set device settings, order supplies, open troubleshooting guides, and check connected machine information. This application is available for Windows 8 or higher users only and will be automatically downloaded from the Windows Store if the machine is connected to a computer with an Internet connection.

To open the application, from the Start screen or Start icon, select the Samsung Printer Experience tile.

The Samsung Printer Experience interface includes several useful features as described in the table below:

You can only add or delete network-connected printers using the Samsung Printer Experience. Follow the steps below.

Adding a printer:

1. Right-click the Samsung Printer Experience page and select Settings.

2. Select Add Printer.

3. Select the printer you want to add.

4. You can see the added printer. If you see a plus mark, you can also click the mark to add printers.

Deleting a printer:

1. Right-click the Samsung Printer Experience page, and then click Settings.

2. Select Remove Printer.

3. Select the printer you want to delete.

4. Click Yes. You will see that the selected printer is removed from the screen.

This section explains common printing tasks from the Start screen.

Basic printing:

1. Open the document to print.

2. Select Print from the File menu.

3. Select your printer from the list.

4. Select the printer settings, such as the number of copies and orientation.

5. Click the Print button to start the print job.

If the printing job is waiting in the print queue or print spooler, you can cancel the job as follows:

• You can access the print queue window by double-clicking the machine icon in the Windows task bar.

• You can also cancel the current job by pressing the (Stop) button on the control panel.

You can set up more printing parameters by accessing the advanced settings. The screen may appear somewhat different depending on the model or options.

1. Open the document to print.

2. Select Print from the File menu.

3. Select your printer from the list.

4. Click More settings.

This will open a window with several tabs:

• Basic tab: Allows you to choose basic printing settings such as copies, orientation, and document type. It also includes Eco settings to choose multiple pages per side to save media.

• Advanced tab: Allows you to set basic paper handling specifications (Paper settings) and various ways to layout your documents (Layout settings).

• Security tab: Allows you to print with given permission (Job Accounting) and print confidential documents using a password (Confidential Printing). Some features may not be available depending on the model or options. If this tab is not shown or is disabled, it means the features are not supported.

The Samsung Printer Experience allows you to print from other applications installed on the computer using the sharing feature. This feature is only available for printing jpeg, bmp, tiff, gif, and png file formats.

1. Select the content you want to print from another application.

2. Click Share or press Window key + H.

3. Select the printer settings, such as the number of copies and orientation.

4. Click the Print button to start the print job.

Scanning from your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X lets you turn pictures and text into digital files. This feature is for users with multi-functional printers.

1. Place a single document face down on the document glass, or load the documents face up into the document feeder.

2. Click the Samsung Printer Experience tile on the Start screen.

3. Click Scan.

4. Set up the scanning parameters such as image type, document size, and resolution.

5. Click Prescan to check the image. (Note: When you place originals in the RADF, Prescan is not available. You can also skip this step if the Prescan option is selected.)

6. Adjust the prescanned image with scanning operation functions such as rotate and mirror.

7. Click Scan and save the image.

The Box is a storage location on your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X’s hard disk drive (HDD) where documents and images that are printed, scanned, downloaded, and sent from computers can be stored. You can create a password for a Stored Document to prevent unauthorized access. You can also print stored documents with various features and send them to destinations like email, server, or fax.

The following command keys are available when you select files in the Box:

Additional buttons on the Box screen include:

The “Box” feature provides additional menus and options for managing stored files.

Sub menu (Action overflow): Opens the sub menu with the following options:

• Select All: Select all folders and files.

• Print Options: Set options for printing.

• Create folder: Create a folder.

• Rename: Rename a folder or a file.

• Delete: Delete folders and files.

• Copy: Copy folders and files.

• Move: Move folders or files to other storage.

• Clear Browsing Info: Clear browsing information.

• Detail: View the detail information about a folder or a file.

• Filing Policy: Select a filing policy.

• Format: Formatting files or data.

Storage Management Buttons:

Job progress: This menu appears whenever the machine is processing a job.

• Detail: Tap this button to see the status, type, and time of the job.

• Preview Area: Allows you to see a preview of the document being saved. The image indicates the current send settings, such as orientation and size.

To use the Box feature, tap Box from the home screen or Apps.

Using multi check:

This function is not available in Print and Send storage. Touch and hold a folder or file, then change the multi check mode.

Create private folder:

This function is not available in Download and USB storage.

• Public: All users can access the files.

• Private: Set up the password to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing.

1. Select the type of Storage (Print or Send) in which you want to create the folder.

2. Tap the menu icon > Create folder.

3. Input the folder name and select Set as Private, and then tap OK.

4. Input the appropriate information in the ID, Password, and Confirm Password fields, and then tap OK.

Before installing or removing any internal or external accessories, please follow these precautions:

• Disconnect the power cord: To avoid the possibility of an electrical shock, always disconnect the power cord. Never remove the control board cover while the power is turned on.

• Discharge static electricity: The control board and internal accessories (like a network interface card or memory module) are sensitive to static electricity. Before touching them, discharge static electricity from your body by touching something metal, such as the metal back plate on any device plugged into a grounded power source. If you walk around during the installation, repeat this procedure to discharge any static electricity again.

• Battery Warning: When installing accessories, the battery inside the machine is a service component. Do not change it by yourself. There is a risk of an explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.

When you install optional devices such as an optional tray or memory, the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X automatically detects and sets them. If you cannot use the installed optional devices in the driver, you can set them manually in Device Options.

1. Open the Control Panel and navigate to the printers list (e.g., for Windows 7, select Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers).

2. Right-click your machine.

3. Select Printer properties from the context menu (for Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows Server 2008 R2) or press Properties (for Windows XP/2003/2008/Vista).

4. Select Device Options.

5. Select the appropriate option from the list. Some menus may not appear depending on your options or model.

• Tray Options: Select the optional tray you installed.

• Storage Options: Select the optional memory you installed. If checked, you can select the Print Mode.

• Printer Configuration: Select the printer language for the print job.

• Administrator Settings: Select the Printer Status and EMF Spooling.

• Admin Job Accounting: Associate user and account identification with each document. You can set User permission or Group permission.

• Custom Paper Size Settings: Specify custom paper sizes.

6. Click OK until you exit the Properties or Printer properties window.

If you experience frequent paper jams or printing problems, you should check the remaining lifespan of the supplies. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Tap Settings > Management > Supplies Life from the main screen.

2. Check the supplies life.

Replace the corresponding parts if necessary.

To use the USB feature on your SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X, tap Box > USB from the home screen or Apps. Here are some important points to remember:

• Use only an authorized USB Drive device with a metal-shielded A plug type connector.

• Only use a USB Drive device that has obtained compatibility certification; otherwise, the machine might not recognize it.

• Your machine supports USB Drive devices with FAT16/FAT32 and a sector size of 512 bytes.

• Scan documents and save them on a USB Drive device.

• Print data stored on a USB Drive device.

• Format the USB Drive device.

• Do not insert the USB Drive device into ports other than the one shown in the user guide.

• Do not remove the USB Drive device while it is in use. Damage caused by a user’s misuse is not covered by the warranty.

• If your USB Drive device has features like security or password settings, the machine may not automatically detect it. Refer to the USB drive’s User’s Guide for details.

You can directly print supported file types stored on a USB Drive device.

Supported file types:

• PRN: Only files created by the provided driver for your machine are compatible.

• TIFF: TIFF 6.0 Baseline

• JPEG: JPEG Baseline (In case of 8bit CMYK JPEG files, the job could be cancelled.)

• PDF: PDF 1.7 and below

Steps to print:

1. Insert a USB Drive device into the USB port on your machine. The machine will automatically detect it.

• If the machine cannot detect an unformatted USB Drive, format it and reinsert it.

• If the machine is in power save mode, wake it up before reinserting the USB drive.

2. Tap Box > USB from the home screen or Apps.

3. The machine will show all files on the USB drive. Touch and hold the folder or document you want to print.

• If a PDF file is secured with a password, you must enter the password to print.

4. Tap the menu icon > Print > Print Options.

5. Select the appropriate options:

• Copies: Select the number of copies.

• Paper Source: Select which tray the paper is used from.

• Auto fit: Allows you to scale your print job to the selected paper size. Select a tray and press On.

6. Tap the print icon to begin printing.

7. After printing is completed, you can remove the USB Drive device from the machine.

You can delete image files one-by-one or all at once by reformatting the device. Be aware that after deleting files or reformatting, files cannot be restored. Confirm you no longer need the data before deleting it.

Deleting an image file:

1. Insert a USB Drive device into the USB port on your machine.

2. Tap Box > USB from the home screen or Apps.

3. The machine shows all files in the USB Drive device. Touch and hold the folder or document you want to delete. (If the file is in a folder, press the folder name.)

4. Tap the menu icon > Delete.

5. Tap Delete when the confirmation window appears.

Formatting a USB Drive device:

1. Insert a USB Drive device into the USB port on your machine.

2. Tap Box > USB from the home screen or Apps.

3. The machine shows all files in the USB Drive device. Touch and hold a folder or document. (If the file is in a folder, press the folder name.)

4. Tap the menu icon > Format.

5. Tap Format when the confirmation window appears.

When the toner cartridge is near the end of its life (e.g., white streaks appear, a toner low message is displayed), you can temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the remaining toner.

1. Open the front door of the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X.

2. Pull the corresponding toner cartridge out from the machine.

3. Thoroughly shake the cartridge five or six times to distribute the toner evenly inside.

4. Hold the toner cartridge and align it with the corresponding slot inside the machine. Insert it back into its slot until it locks in place.

5. Close the front door. Ensure that the door is securely closed, as the machine will not operate otherwise.

When the toner cartridge is totally empty, the status LED will turn red and the display screen will show an error message. At this stage, the toner cartridge needs to be replaced.

1. Open the front door of the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X.

2. Pull the corresponding toner cartridge out from the machine.

3. Unpack the new toner cartridge from its bag.

4. Thoroughly roll the new cartridge five or six times to distribute the toner evenly inside.

5. Carefully remove the cap from the toner cartridge or pull the sealing tape out.

6. Hold the toner cartridge and align it with the corresponding slot inside the machine. Insert it back into its slot until it locks in place.

7. Close the front door. Ensure that the door is securely closed. The machine will not operate if the front door is not completely closed.

When the life of the waste toner container expires, the display screen will show an error message, and it will need to be replaced.

1. Open the front door of the SAMSUNG MULTIXPRESS K750X.

2. Push the left/right locking levers and push outward as shown in the manual. Then remove the waste toner container.

3. Remove the new waste toner container from its package.

4. Insert the new waste toner container until it locks in place.

5. Close the front door. Ensure that the door is securely closed, as the machine will not operate otherwise.

By selecting the correct media types, most paper jams can be avoided. When a paper jam occurs, refer to the following guidelines:

• Ensure that the adjustable guides are positioned correctly.

• Do not overload the tray. Ensure that the paper level is below the paper capacity mark on the inside of the tray.

• Do not remove paper from the tray while your machine is printing.

• Flex, fan, and straighten paper before loading.

• Do not use creased, damp, or highly curled paper.

• Do not mix paper types in a tray.

• Use only recommended print media.

• Ensure that the recommended side of the print media is facing up in the tray, or facing down in the multi-purpose tray.

When a paper jam occurs, a warning message appears on the display screen. To avoid tearing the paper, pull the jammed paper out slowly and gently.

Original paper jam in front of scanner:

1. Remove any remaining pages from the DSDF.

2. Open the DSDF cover.

3. For LX series: Lift the lever and gently remove the jammed paper from the DSDF. Then, pull down the lever.

For GX series: Gently remove the jammed paper from the DSDF.

4. Close the DSDF cover.

Original paper jam inside of scanner:

1. Remove any remaining pages from the DSDF.

2. Open the DSDF cover and gently remove any jammed paper.

3. If you do not see paper, open the DSDF input tray.

4. Pull the jammed paper gently out of the DSDF.

5. If you do not see paper, open the DSDF unit itself.

6. Grasp the misfed paper and remove it by carefully pulling with both hands.

7. Close all covers (DSDF, DSDF cover, DSDF input tray).

Paper jam in tray 1, 2:

1. Open the right door.

2. Remove the jammed paper by gently pulling it straight out. Close the right door.

3. If you do not see paper, pull out tray 1 or 2.

4. Remove the jammed paper from the machine.

5. Insert the tray back into the machine until it locks into place.

Paper jam in the multi-purpose tray:

1. If the paper is not feeding properly, pull the paper out of the machine.

2. Open and close the front door to resume printing.

Paper jam in exit area (Jam Exit Face down):

1. Gently pull the paper out of the output tray.

2. Open and close the front door. Printing automatically resumes.

If a paper jam persists in the exit area, make sure the bin full sensor, located in front of the output tray, is unfolded.

Messages appear on the display screen to indicate the machine’s status or errors. If a message is not in the table, reboot the power and try the printing job again. If the problem persists, call for service.

If the inside of the machine is dirty or paper has been loaded improperly, there might be a reduction in print quality. See the table below to clear the problem.
