The RAZER KRAKEN V4 is a wireless gaming headset powered by Razer Chroma RGB. It features three modes of connectivity, a super wideband microphone, and 9-zone earcup lighting designed to redefine how you play.

The RAZER KRAKEN V4 microphone features:

The RAZER KRAKEN V4 features on-earcup controls including a Volume Dial, Mic Mute Button, Game/Chat Balance Button, and a Razer SmartSwitch Button.

The RAZER KRAKEN V4 battery life depends on usage:

Up to 70 hours with lighting OFF using a 2.4GHz connection.

Up to 35 hours with lighting ON using a 2.4GHz connection.

To charge the RAZER KRAKEN V4, connect the headset to a USB Type A port on your computer using the provided charging cable. For best results, connect the headset directly to the computer port. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.

To power the RAZER KRAKEN V4 on or off, press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. When turned on, the status indicator will show a static green light. When turned off, the status indicator is disabled.

Connect the RAZER KRAKEN V4 to your device by plugging the USB Type C end of the cable into the headset and the USB Type A end into your PC, PlayStation, or other compatible device.

Plug the USB Type C wireless dongle into your device. If your device only has USB Type A ports, use the USB Type A to Type C adapter cable. The status indicator on the RAZER KRAKEN V4 will blink green while connecting and turn static green once connected.

To adjust the balance on the RAZER KRAKEN V4, press and hold the Game/Chat Balance button for 3 seconds. You can then scroll the wheel up to increase game volume and decrease chat volume, or scroll down to decrease game volume and increase chat volume.

While the RAZER KRAKEN V4 is powered on, double press the SmartSwitch button to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The status indicator will blink blue. From your device’s Bluetooth settings, select the headset from the list of discovered devices. The indicator will turn static blue once paired.

To enter re-pairing mode on the RAZER KRAKEN V4, press and hold the SmartSwitch button for 7 seconds. The indicator will blink blue to show it is in pairing mode, and turn static blue once it is successfully paired with a device.

Extend the microphone from the RAZER KRAKEN V4 until it is a few millimeters away from your mouth. Ensure the mic diaphragm is in front of your mouth and the air vent is facing away from your mouth for optimal voice capture.

Press the mic mute button on the RAZER KRAKEN V4. When the microphone is muted, the LED indicator on the mic tip and the headset status indicator will show static red. When unmuted, the indicator is disabled.

Rotate the volume dial on the RAZER KRAKEN V4 earcup upward to increase the volume or downward to decrease the volume.

You can check the battery status on the RAZER KRAKEN V4 by observing the status indicator LED:

Press the SmartSwitch button on the RAZER KRAKEN V4 to cycle through preset EQ settings: Game, Movie, Music, and Custom. Custom settings require software configuration to be modified.

Double press the SmartSwitch button on the RAZER KRAKEN V4 to toggle between 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth modes. Note that the headset must be connected to both wireless modes for the SmartSwitch function to work.

Gently stretch the headbands of the RAZER KRAKEN V4 before wearing the headset. Do not overstretch the headband beyond its technical limits to avoid permanent damage.

The Sound subtab for the RAZER KRAKEN V4 allows for adjusting and modifying audio settings, including profiles, audio equalizers, game profiles, volume, and game/chat balance.

The RAZER KRAKEN V4 allows you to select preset equalizer settings designed for gaming immersion, movie viewing, or music. If you manually adjust any preset, it will automatically be set to a Custom profile.

The Do Not Disturb feature for the RAZER KRAKEN V4 blocks incoming calls from your mobile device via Bluetooth while you are connected to the wireless dongle. This works when the headset is connected to both the dongle and a mobile device simultaneously.

The RAZER KRAKEN V4 supports the following audio enhancements:

Sound Normalization: Increases the volume of quiet sounds without affecting louder parts.

Bass Boost: Enhances low-frequency response to improve bass output.

Voice Clarity: Enhances incoming dialogue from communication applications for clear speech.

In the Mic subtab for the RAZER KRAKEN V4, you can adjust microphone volume, enable Mic Preview, and toggle enhancements like Volume Normalization, Vocal Clarity, and Mic Noise Cancellation. You can also select mic equalizer presets or set a custom one.

Mic Monitoring on the RAZER KRAKEN V4 allows you to hear your own voice through the headset as you speak, with an adjustable monitoring volume level.

This power-saving tool for the RAZER KRAKEN V4 allows you to disable the headset’s lighting when your system’s display turns off or automatically power the lighting down after a specified period of inactivity.

For the RAZER KRAKEN V4, you can use the Power subtab to manage energy consumption. The Wireless Power Saving feature allows you to set the device to power off automatically when it has been idle for a certain amount of time.
