How do I set up my new PURE AIR5 PRO e-scooter?

Follow these simple set-up instructions:

1. Set up in box: Keep the e-scooter within the opened box during set up. This will keep it firmly in place for the next steps.

2. Raise the stem: Remove any remaining protective packaging from the e-scooter, then unfold it to its upright position, making sure the latch is down.

6. Tighten the bolts: Use the correctly-fitting Allen key supplied to tighten the bolts. Don’t tighten each screw all the way in one go.

7. Fully charge: Charge your e-scooter until the charger status light changes from red to green.

8. Tyre pressure: Check the tyres are inflated to the optimum pressure of 36 PSI / 2.5 Bar. Always use the valve extender with your pump. You will damage the tyre valves if you do not.

What are the pre-ride checks I should perform on my PURE AIR5 PRO?

Before you ride it each time:

• Check that all screws and bolts are tight, especially those of the handlebar, the hinge, the brakes and the front and rear wheel.

• Check your tyres and pressures, ensuring that they’re in the optimum range stated on the side of the tyre wall (between 36-50psi).

• When you brake, your e-scooter uses regenerative braking on the rear wheel to recharge its battery. However, if your battery is fully charged, particularly at the start of a downhill ride, regenerative braking is reduced to protect the battery. Always ensure the drum brake on the front wheel is properly adjusted before you set off, guaranteeing consistent braking throughout your journey.

How should I store my PURE AIR5 PRO?

Store the e-scooter in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. If left unused, recharge the battery every month to maintain longevity of the battery and to avoid damage.

Never store the e-scooter in temperatures above 50°C, or below -20°C, as this will cause damage. The capacity of the battery decreases with cold temperatures, impacting the range.

In order to avoid corrosion, you should clean and dry your e-scooter after every use.

• Use a slightly damp sponge or cloth for cleaning and dry afterwards with a towel.

• DO NOT use excessive water or harsh substances such as degreasers as they may result in damage to the e-scooter and its battery.

• NEVER use a pressure washer to clean the e-scooter.

What should I do if my PURE AIR5 PRO doesn’t turn on?

Sometimes your e-scooter may enter a deep sleep mode. To awaken it, fully charge your e-scooter:

• Plug the charger into your e-scooter, the charger light should change from green to red.

• Charge your e-scooter fully. When the light on the charger changes from red to green, the charge cycle has completed.
