What comes in the box with the PURE AIR5?
The PURE AIR5 package contains the following items:
1x PURE AIR5 (or Pure Air⁵ Pro)
1x Charger
1x User manual
1x Allen key (3mm)
4x M5 countersunk bolts
How do I set up the PURE AIR5 e-scooter?
Follow these steps to set up your new PURE AIR5:
1. Set up in box: Keep the e-scooter within the opened box during setup to keep it firmly in place.
2. Raise the stem: Remove any remaining protective packaging, then unfold the stem to its upright position, making sure the latch is down.
3. Secure the latch: Lift the latch mechanism until it clips securely into the stem. Do not ride the scooter if the latch is loose.
4. Lift the handlebar: Lift the handlebar onto the stem, ensuring the internal wires are not trapped and the external brake cable is not twisted.
5. Fix the handlebar: Rotate the handlebar to align the holes in the stem with the handlebar. Insert the stem bolts loosely into the recesses.
6. Tighten the bolts: Use the supplied Allen key to tighten the bolts. Do not tighten each screw all the way in one go.
7. Fully charge: Charge your e-scooter until the charger status light changes from red to green.
8. Tyre pressure: Check that the tyres are inflated to the optimum pressure of 36 PSI / 2.5 Bar. Always use the valve extender with your pump to avoid damaging the tyre valves.
What are the riding instructions for the PURE AIR5?
1. First, turn on your PURE AIR5 by pressing and holding the central multifunction button for 2 seconds. The display will switch on.
2. To start riding, lift up the kickstand, place one foot on the deck and push against the floor with your other foot to propel you forwards.
3. After you’ve pushed yourself forwards, press the throttle with your thumb steadily to start accelerating. You need to achieve a speed of 3km/h before the throttle will engage.
4. Steer by turning the handlebars left and right. The steering mechanism is spring-loaded to help it return to centre.
5. You can slow down the e-scooter by pulling the brake lever. Braking activates both the electrical rear brake and the front drum brake.
6. To come to a stop, slow to almost a standstill. Then, place one foot on the ground, leaning slightly onto that foot as you come to a complete stop.
