The PRIME3 TEM11 electric mixer consists of the following components:

1. Stirring paddle

2. Connection socket for M14 stirrers

3. On/off switch

4. Switch lock

5. Motor housing

6. Speed control knob

To mount the mixing paddle on the PRIME3 TEM11, follow these steps:

1. Disconnect the plug from the mains socket if it is plugged in.

2. Turn the unit so that there is free access to the spindle.

3. Insert the threaded end of the mixing paddle into the spindle hole, then tighten.

4. Holding the spindle with the included spanner, securely tighten the mixing paddle.

The ON/OFF switch (3) is located on the right grip and is designed to prevent accidental actuation.

To start your PRIME3 TEM11, first press the lock (4) and then press the switch (3). The machine will switch off when the ON/OFF button (3) is released.

Important: Do not press the switch (3) without first depressing the lock (4), as this may damage the unit.

Use the speed control knob located on the inside of the left grip to change the machine speed.

Note: Changing the speed using the gear selector must only be done with the unit switched off and the engine not running. Changing the speed while the unit is running can damage the machine.

Before using the PRIME3 TEM11, please observe the following safety warnings:

• This device is for domestic use only. Do not use for any other purposes.

• Only connect the device to a socket with values corresponding to those on the rating label.

• Check that the total current consumption of all devices plugged into the wall outlet does not exceed the fuse in the circuit.

• If using an extension cord, ensure the total power consumption of the equipment does not exceed the extension cord’s power rating. Arrange extension cords to avoid tripping hazards.

• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a counter or touch any hot surface.

• Always disconnect the unit from the power supply before maintenance work.

• Never leave the product connected to the power source without supervision.

• Never put the power cable, plug, or the whole device into water or any other liquids.

• Do not place the device near sources of heat, flame, an electric heating element, or a hot oven.

• Take additional precautions when using this device in the presence of children or pets. Do not allow children to play with the device.

• Never use the product close to combustibles or expose it to atmospheric conditions like direct sunlight or rain. Do not use in humid conditions like a bathroom.

• Periodically check the power cable for damage. If damaged, take the product to a professional service location to be fixed or replaced.

• Never use the product with a damaged power cable, if it was dropped or damaged, or if it does not work properly. Do not attempt to repair it yourself.

• Keep your workplace tidy and well-lit to prevent accidents.

• Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.

• If possible, fit and correctly use dust extraction or collection tools to reduce risks from dust.

• Maintain a stable posture and balance to keep better control of the power tool.

• Avoid unintentional starting. Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before connecting to the mains.

• Remove any spanners or tools from the power tool before starting it.

• Keep children away from the work area and do not allow them to pull on the power cord.

• Always place and use the power tool on a stable, level, and horizontal surface.

• The device may only be used in a dry, well-lit environment.

When operating the PRIME3 TEM11, you should wear the following personal protective equipment:

• Wear safety glasses according to EN166.

• Use protective masks in accordance with EN149.

• The noise level during operation may exceed 85 dB (A); wear hearing protection (earplugs).

• Wear protective footwear.

• Wear protective gloves.

• Wear protective clothing.

• Use other types of proper personal protective equipment, depending on the type of work involved.

Also, wear appropriate clothing. Do not work in loose clothing or wear jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts.

• The mixer and mixing paddle are not for food preparation. Only mix substances and materials used in construction.

• Do not use this equipment to mix flammable or explosive substances.

• Before mixing building materials, read their instructions or Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

• When mixing, keep both hands on the insulated power tool grips.

• Be aware of concealed live electrical cables. Position the mixer’s supply line so it is not close to the rotating paddle.

• The tank for mixing must rest on level and flat ground to prevent tilting or wobbling.

• Hold the power tool firmly and securely with both hands, maintaining a stable position.

• If the tool becomes very dirty or falls into the mixing tank, switch it off immediately and disconnect it from the mains.

• When mixing liquids, ensure droplets do not enter the power tool to avoid electric shock.

Recoil is the sudden, uncontrolled reaction of the machine to a jammed or blocked work tool. A jam leads to a sudden stop of the rotating tool, resulting in a violent jerking of the machine. Recoil is the result of improper use and failure to follow safety procedures.

To prevent the recoil effect:

• Hold your tool firmly and securely, positioning your hands and body to prevent or mitigate the recoil effect if it occurs.

• Keep your hands away from rotating work tools.

If your working tool (mixing paddle) becomes blocked during mixing, switch off the mixing machine immediately. Be cautious of the resulting recoil force, which can pull the equipment from your hands.

Prolonged exposure to vibration can cause injuries like frostbite, a prickling or burning sensation in the fingers, and excessive paleness of the hands. To avoid the risk of adverse vibration effects, observe these basic rules:

• Daily working time with the power tool must include regular breaks for other activities.

• Perform hand and arm exercises during breaks to improve blood circulation.

• Wear protective gloves to further protect against the negative effects of vibration.

• Avoid adopting an uncomfortable position where your wrists are unnaturally twisted.

If you feel unwell (e.g., finger swelling, excessive paleness, loss of sensation) or experience symptoms of hand and arm fatigue or pain, seek medical attention immediately and consult a doctor.

Proper maintenance can prolong the life of your PRIME3 TEM11.

• **Mixing Tools:** Clean mixing tools after use. Running water or quartz sand can clean them well.

• **Mixing Shaft:** The mixing shaft must always be protected from contamination. Always place a protective cap over the opening of the hexagonal socket.

• **Vents:** The ventilation of the motor housing must not be covered when the machine is running. Ensure no flammable materials are in the machine. Clean the vents frequently.

• **Carbon Brushes:** The carbon brushes must be checked and maintained after the machine has been in operation for up to 60 hours. Replace the brush if it is worn. To do this:

1. First, disconnect the power supply and dismount the motor housing.

2. Remove the plate and replace the carbon brush.
