To ensure safe operation of your alarm system, please follow these instructions:

1. The alarm system contains hazards of fire and electric shock. To reduce risk, do not expose the system to rain or moisture. Telephone cords can conduct lightning energy.

2. Do not open the alarm system door. Dangerous high voltages are present inside. Servicing should only be done by qualified personnel.

3. Use the system with AC 230V 50Hz power, protected by an anti-electric shock breaker. Do not use any other power source to prevent electric shocks and fire hazards.

4. Avoid spilling any liquid on the unit. If a spill occurs, consult a qualified service immediately.

5. Install the product in a protected location where no one can trip over any line or power cord. Protect cords from damage or abrasion.

6. Disconnect all power sources before installation. Do not install low-voltage wires near AC power wires; they should be separated.

7. Connect the AC transformer output to the designated terminal block on the control panel.

8. Connect the AC line cord to the line power terminals as marked (GND; N; L).

The alarm system includes the following features:

• 6 programmable zones

• Two partitions

• Dialer: Up to three preset private telephone numbers and four Monitoring Station numbers

• Various arming/disarming modes: keypad, key, remote control, automatic

• Supports four types of keypads: A simple LED keypad (RX-406 or RX-6), LCD keypads (RXN-400 or RXN-410) and Anti-vandal keypad RX/N-200

• Up to six different keypads can be connected in parallel

• Two operating modes: Full or Home

• System Events memory logs up to 40 non-volatile events

• Various operating codes: Master Code, up to eight User Codes, and Short Code

• User Code #8 can function as a DURESS code

• Optional temporary bypass of zones

• “Chime” mode per zone: operates the keypad buzzer when a zone is opened

• Monitoring Station Communicator: built-in dialer (private & CMS), integrated Long-Range Radio and Cellular Transmitters

• Optional feature to inhibit the system from arming in case of failure

• Short-keys for DURESS and FIRE codes

The following codes are used to access and operate the alarm system:

• Master Code: Used for programming system parameters. The default factory Master Code is 5555. For security reasons, the default factory Master Code must be changed and should not be used to arm or disarm the system.

• User Code: A 4-6 digit code. Up to eight User Codes can be programmed (User Code 1 to User Code 8).

• Short Code: A convenient, two-digit code used only to arm the system.

• Duress Code: A 4-6 digit code used for disarming the system. When used, it sends a silent duress event to the Monitoring Station (MS). If the system is already disarmed, it sends a silent duress event to the MS.

The display screen provides system status information:

• The upper line displays System Fault, System Status, and the Time.

– System Status Characters:

– P: System is communicating or testing the PSTN line.

– T: System is reporting to the Monitoring Station via radio transmitter.

• The lower line displays information about the zones’ status. Characters appear above the zone number on the display:

– ■ (Solid square): Closed zone

– _ (Underscore): Opened zone

– B: Bypassed zone

– A: Alarm zone (zone has triggered an alarm)

– C: Chime zone

– F: Failed zone (disconnected or shorted)

To arm the entire alarm system:

Enter any User Code (User Code #1 to #8) allocated to both partitions, OR enter the Master Code, OR enter the Short code, then press the [1] key.

To disarm the entire alarm system:

Enter any User Code (User Code #1 to #8) allocated to both partitions, OR enter the Master Code, then press the [1] key.

Important Note: Entering the Master Code when one partition is armed will arm the other partition as well. Entering the Master Code when both partitions are armed will disarm the entire system.

To arm the alarm system in HOME mode, press and hold the [4] key (HOME 1) or the [7] key (HOME 2). Then, enter any User Code or the Short Code.

To arm or disarm partitions individually (toggle mode), use a User Code that has been allocated by the installer to a specific partition.

• To arm/disarm Partition #1: Enter a User Code that was allocated to partition #1.

• To arm/disarm Partition #2: Enter a User Code that was allocated to partition #2.

Note: A user can only arm/disarm partitions allocated to them by the installer (partition #1, #2, or both). All keypads connected to the system share the same display, even if they are allocated to different partitions.

There are two methods to bypass/reactivate an alarm zone:

Method 1:

1. Press the [3] (BY PASS) key.

2. Enter your Master Code.

3. Enter the zone number you wish to bypass.

4. Press the [END] key.

Method 2:

1. Press and hold the [3] (BY PASS) key until the “Enter Code” screen appears.

2. Enter your User Code.

3. On the “Zone:” screen, enter the zone number to be bypassed.

You can repeat the process to bypass other zones.

To cancel the bypass and reactivate the zone: Repeat the same bypass activation process for that zone number (it is a toggle operation).

Important: Every bypassed zone is logged in the system’s memory with the time and date. The bypass mode is effective only until the system is disarmed.

To manually reset the smoke or fire detector, press and hold the [#] (RESET) key for 3 seconds.

To identify the zone that triggered an alarm while the system was last armed, check the keypad display. The letter ‘A’ will be displayed above the zone number that was the cause of the alarm.

The Chime mode activates a buzzer in the keypad when a designated Chime Zone is triggered while the system is not armed.

• To enable Chime mode: Press and hold the [*] (CHIME) key. The message “CHIME ON” will be displayed for about 3 seconds.

• To disable Chime mode: Press and hold the [*] (CHIME) key. The message “CHIME OFF” will be displayed for about 3 seconds.

There are two ways to view the event log:

Manual Scrolling:

1. Press the [2] (MEMORY) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Use the [NEXT] or [BACK] keys to scroll through the events.

4. Press the [END] key to exit.

Automatic Scrolling:

Press and hold the [2] (MEMORY) key to view events scrolled automatically.

To temporarily cancel the Entry Delay Time, press and hold the [0] (PROGRAM) key. You will receive the message “DELAY OFF”. To re-enable it, press and hold the [0] key again to receive the message “DELAY ON”. This feature is effective only until the system is disarmed.

• Reporting a PANIC Event: Press and hold the [*] (CHIME) and [#] (RESET) keys simultaneously for two seconds.

• Reporting a DURESS Event: Press and hold the [4] (HOME 1) and [6] (PHONE) keys simultaneously until you hear a confirmation beep from the keypad.

• Reporting a FIRE Event: Press and hold the [7] (HOME 2) and [9] (CODE) keys simultaneously until you hear a confirmation beep from the keypad.

• To disable a keypad’s audible tones: Press and hold the [END] and [ENTR] keys simultaneously. When disabled, all audible tones and indications for that specific keypad are silenced.

• To enable a keypad’s audible tones: Press and hold the [END] and [ENTR] keys simultaneously until you hear a beep.

The Green ARMED LED indicates the system status as follows:

• Blinking: The system is in Entry Delay (before disarming) or Exit Delay (after arming) mode.

• Steady Light: The system is armed.

In case of partitions, the LED and LCD will indicate the status as follows:

To program the Master Code:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the current Initial Master Code.

3. Press the [ENTR] key.

4. Enter the new Master Code (4-6 digits).

5. Press the [ENTR] key.

6. Press the [END] key.

7. Press the [END] key again to exit programming.

To program User Code #1:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Press the [NEXT] key.

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Enter the new User Code (4-6 digits).

6. Press [ENTR], then [END], then [END].

To delete User Code #1:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Press the [NEXT] key.

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Press the [#] key.

6. Press [END], then [END].

To program User Codes #2 to #8:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Press the [NEXT] key as many times as the User Code number (e.g., press [NEXT] six times for User Code #6).

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Enter the new User Code (4-6 digits).

6. Press [ENTR], then [END], then [END].

To delete User Code #2 to #8:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Press the [NEXT] key as many times as the User Code number.

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Press the [#] key.

6. Press [END], then [END].

To program a Short Code:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Press the [BACK] key.

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Enter the new two-digit Short Code.

6. Press [ENTR], then [END], then [END].

To delete a Short Code:

1. Press the [9] (CODE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Press the [BACK] key.

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Press the [#] key.

6. Press [END], then [END].

To set the time for the system to arm automatically:

1. Press the [0] (PROGRAM) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Enter the arming time in HH:MM format (24-hour format).

4. Press the [ENTR] key.

5. Press the [END] key.

To program telephone numbers:

1. Press the [6] (PHONE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Enter the first telephone number including area code, then press [ENTR].

4. Enter the second telephone number including area code, then press [ENTR].

5. Enter the third telephone number including area code, then press [ENTR].

6. Press [END] to finish.

To delete one or more telephone numbers:

1. Press the [6] (PHONE) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. For each number you wish to keep, press [ENTR].

4. For each number you wish to delete, press the [#] key.

5. Press [END] to exit.

To delete all telephone numbers:

1. Enter the Master Code.

2. Press the [6] (PHONE) key.

3. Press the [#] key three times.

4. Press [END].

To set the system time and date:

1. Press the [8] (CLOCK) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Enter the current time in HH:MM (24-hour) format, then press [ENTR].

4. Enter the current date in YY MM DD format, then press [ENTR].

5. Press [END] to exit.

Note: It is important to set the correct time and date. If no time is entered, the red Fault LED will blink and a CLOCK message will be displayed.

To program or cancel a zone’s Chime feature:

1. Press the [*] (CHIME) key.

2. Enter the Master Code.

3. Enter the zone number you want to set as a Chime Zone.

4. Press the [END] key.

Note: This mode activates a buzzer in the keypad when a Chime Zone is opened. Chime Zones are indicated by the letter ‘C’ in the display above the zone number.
