Risk of electric shock or fire!

• Before making or changing any connections, ensure all devices are disconnected from the power outlet.

• The mains plug or appliance coupler must remain readily operable as the disconnect device.

• Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat like sunshine or fire.

• Disconnect the product from the power outlet during lightning storms.

• When disconnecting the power cord, always pull the plug, not the cable.

Risk of short circuit or fire!

• Before connecting to a power outlet, ensure the power voltage matches the value printed on the back or bottom of the product.

Risk of injury or damage!

• For wall mounting, this product must be securely attached to the wall according to the installation instructions. Improper mounting can result in accidents, injury, or damage.

• Never place the product or any objects on power cords or other electrical equipment.

• If transported in temperatures below 5°C, unpack the product and wait for it to reach room temperature before connecting it to power.

• Parts of this product can be made of glass. Handle with care to avoid injury.

Risk of overheating!

• Never install this product in a confined space. Always leave at least four inches of space around the product for ventilation.

• CAUTION: There is a danger of explosion if batteries are replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

• Insert batteries with correct positive “+” and negative “-” polarities.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.

• Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cd, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries.

• Remove batteries if they are exhausted or if the remote control will not be used for a long time to prevent corrosion or leakage.

• Do not dispose of a battery in a fire or hot oven, or mechanically crush or cut it.

• Do not drop the remote control or allow anything to impact it.

• Do not spill water or any liquid on the remote control.

• Remove the battery from the remote control when not in use for a long period to avoid corrosion or battery leakage.

Use only a microfiber cloth to clean the product.

Your product is designed and manufactured with high-quality materials and components that can be recycled and reused. The symbols on the product indicate it is covered by European Directives.

Inform yourself about the local separate collection system for electrical and electronic products and batteries. Follow local rules and never dispose of the product and batteries with normal household waste. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

The soundbar has the following buttons and functions:

• (Standby-On): Switches the soundbar On or to Standby. A long press for 8 seconds in the power-on state enables or disables Auto-Standby (15 minutes).

• (Source) button: Selects an input source for the Soundbar.

• (Bluetooth) button: Press to select Bluetooth mode. Long press for 3 seconds to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. Long press for 8 seconds to disconnect all devices and clear the BT connect history list, then enter pairing mode.

• +/- (Volume) button: Increases or decreases the volume.

The LED indicators on the soundbar display the current status:

The PHILIPS TAB6100 soundbar has the following connectors:

1. AC in ~ socket: Connect to the power supply.

2. Optical in: Connect to an optical audio output on a TV or digital device.

3. Audio in: Audio input from an MP3 player or other device (3.5mm jack).

4. USB: Connect to a USB storage device for audio playback or software upgrades.

5. HDMI eARC: Connect to the HDMI (eARC) input on the TV. This port supports the eARC feature.

6. Wall bracket slot: For mounting the soundbar on a wall.

The status of the wireless subwoofer can be determined by its indicator light:

• (Standby-On): Switch the soundbar on or to standby. Long press for 8 seconds in the power-on state to enable or disable Auto-Standby.

• (Intellisound Control): Switch AI/Preset/Custom Mode.

• Vol + / Vol – (Soundbar’s Volume): Increase / decrease the soundbar’s volume.

• EQ: Select Equalizer (EQ) effect.

• Treble +/-: Adjust treble level.

• Bass +/- (Subwoofer’s Volume): Adjust subwoofer’s volume.

• (Source): Press to select an input source for the soundbar.

• (Mute): Mute or restore volume.

• / (Previous/Next): Skip to the previous or next track in USB / BT mode.

• (Play/Pause): Start, pause, or resume play in USB / BT mode.

• AVL: Auto volume leveling ON/OFF and night mode.

1. Press and slide the back cover to open the battery compartment of the remote control.

2. Insert two AAA size batteries (included). Make sure the (+) and (-) ends of the batteries match the (+) and (-) ends indicated in the battery compartment.

3. Close the battery compartment cover.

For best results, place your subwoofer at least 1 meter (3 feet) away from your soundbar, and 10 centimeters away from the wall. Position them as shown in the user manual diagrams for optimal sound.

WARNING: To prevent injury, this apparatus must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions. The suggested wall mounting height is ≤ 1.5 meters.

It is recommended to install your TV first. With a TV preinstalled, wall mount the soundbar 50mm/2.0″ in distance from the bottom of the TV.

1. Drill 4 parallel holes (diameter 3-8mm each according to wall type) on the wall. The distance between the holes should be 616mm / 18.9″. You can use the provided wall mount template to help position the holes.

2. Tighten the wall mount brackets on the wall with screws (included) and a screwdriver (not included). Make sure they are securely installed.

3. Lift the unit onto the wall mount brackets and slot it into place.

Your soundbar supports HDMI with eARC (Audio Return Channel). If your TV is HDMI eARC compliant, you can hear the TV audio through your soundbar using a single HDMI cable.

1. On your TV, turn on HDMI-CEC operations. Your TV must support the HDMI-CEC and eARC function, and both must be set to On. The HDMI eARC connector on the TV might be labeled differently; check your TV’s user manual.

2. Using a High Speed HDMI cable that supports the eARC function, connect the HDMI eARC connector on your soundbar to the HDMI eARC connector on the TV.

Using an optical cable, connect the Optical in connector on your soundbar to the Optical out connector on the TV or other device. Note that the digital optical connector might be labeled Spdif in or Spdif out.

There are two ways to connect using an audio cable:

• Using a 3.5mm audio cable: Use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio cable to connect the TV’s headphone socket to the Audio in socket on the soundbar.

• Using a 3.5mm-RCA audio cable: Use an RCA to 3.5mm audio cable to connect the TV’s audio output sockets to the Audio in socket on the soundbar.

Before connecting the AC power cord, ensure you have completed all other connections.

1. Connect the mains cable to the AC~ socket of the soundbar and then into a mains socket.

2. Connect the mains cable to the AC~ socket of the subwoofer and then into a mains socket.

Automatic Pairing

Plug the soundbar and the subwoofer into the mains sockets and then press the power button on the unit or remote control to switch the unit to ON mode. The subwoofer and soundbar will automatically pair.

Manual Pairing

If no audio from the wireless subwoofer can be heard, manually pair it:

1. Unplug both the subwoofer and soundbar from the mains sockets. Plug them in again after 3 minutes.

2. Press and hold the Pair button on the rear of the subwoofer for 3 seconds. The indicator on the subwoofer will rapidly blink.

3. The indicator on the subwoofer will become solid when pairing is successful.

4. If the indicator still keeps blinking, repeat steps 1-3.

• When you first connect the soundbar to the main socket, the unit will be in standby mode.

• Press the power button on the remote control or on the soundbar to switch the soundbar ON or OFF (Standby).

• To switch the soundbar off completely, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

The soundbar automatically turns to Standby mode after about 15 minutes if the TV or external soundbar is disconnected, USB/BT playback is paused, or switched off. In HDMI (eARC), Aux, USB, Optical, and Bluetooth modes, it will go to standby after approximately 15 minutes of no audio playback.

To enable or disable this feature, long press the power button for 8 seconds while the soundbar is on. Note that if you disable Auto-Standby, the product’s energy consumption will be increased.

Press the (Source) button repeatedly on the soundbar or on the remote control to select the HDMI eARC, BT (Bluetooth), OPT (Optical), USB, or AUX mode. The front indicator lights will show the selected source.

• Soundbar’s Volume: Press Vol+/Vol- on the remote control to increase or decrease the volume level. The LED indicators will light up to show the current volume level.

• Subwoofer’s Volume: Press Bass +/- on the remote control to increase or decrease the subwoofer’s volume level.

• Treble Level: Press the Treble +/- button on the remote control to change the high frequency (treble).

1. Press the EQ button on the remote control to select your desired preset equalizer effects.

2. Press the EQ button again to switch among the modes (Entertainment, Music, Dialogue, Original). The LEDs will light up for 3 seconds to show the current EQ mode.

Press and hold the Mute button on the remote control for 5 seconds to enable or disable the LEDs display.

• OFF: The LEDs brightness will return to normal when you press any button and will turn off automatically after idling for 10 seconds.

• ON: The LEDs brightness will not self-extinguish.

Note: During standby, the Standby LED will remain on regardless of this setting.

DTS Virtual:X allows you to enjoy multi-dimensional sound regardless of room size, layout, or speaker configuration. It features DTS’s proprietary virtual height and virtual surround processing to deliver an immersive sound experience from any type of input source. You can enable or disable this virtualizer via the Philips Entertainment app.

• ON: This mode uses DTS Virtual:X to realize a three-dimensional sound field.

• OFF: Does not use “DTS Virtual:X”.

Press the AVL button on the remote control to switch Auto Volume Leveling ON, OFF, or to night mode.

• OFF: Do not use “Auto volume”.

• ON: Responds in real time to different sources and types of content to maintain consistent loudness.

• NIGHT: Maintains even loudness for all sources and enhances vocals and dialogue to make them easier to hear in a quiet listening environment.

1. Press the Bluetooth button on the soundbar or the (Source) button on the remote control to select the BT (Bluetooth) mode. The BT indicator will turn constant white for 5s then blink white slowly.

2. On your Bluetooth device (e.g., smartphone, laptop), switch on Bluetooth, then search for and select Philips TAB6100 to start the connection.

3. Wait until you hear a voice prompt from the soundbar. If successfully connected, the BT indicator will light up solid white.

4. Select and play audio files or music on your Bluetooth device. Playback will be heard through the soundbar.

To exit Bluetooth, you can switch the unit to another source, disable the function from your Bluetooth device, or press and hold the Bluetooth button on the soundbar.

Ensure the soundbar is connected to your TV or audio device.

1. Press the (Source) button repeatedly on the soundbar or on the remote control to select the HDMI ARC, OPT, or AUX mode. The indicator light will show which mode is currently in use.

2. Operate your audio device directly for playback features.

3. Press the +/- (Volume) buttons to adjust the volume to your desired level.

Note: While in Optical/HDMI eARC mode, if there’s no sound output, you may need to activate PCM or Dolby Digital Signal output on your source device (e.g., TV, DVD, or Blu-ray player).

1. Insert the USB storage device.

2. Press the (Source) button repeatedly on the soundbar or remote control to select the USB mode.

3. During playback, you can use the remote control buttons to play/pause, or skip to the previous/next track.

Note: This system can play MP3/WAV/FLAC files and supports USB devices with up to 128 GB of memory.

To reset the device to its default settings, turn on the soundbar, then press and hold the + and – buttons on the soundbar at the same time for 8 seconds. All LEDs will light up for 5 seconds, and the standby LED will turn Red.

Disconnect the soundbar from the power supply for a few minutes, then connect it again.

• Ensure that the AC cord is properly connected.

• Ensure that there is power at the AC outlet.

• Press the power button on the remote control or soundbar to turn the soundbar on.

• Connect the audio cable from your soundbar to your TV or other devices. However, a separate audio connection is not needed when the soundbar and TV are connected through HDMI eARC, or a device is connected to the HDMI IN connector on your soundbar.

• On the remote control, select the correct audio input.

• Make sure that the soundbar is not muted.

• Manually connect the subwoofer to the main unit.

• Increase the volume. Press + (Volume Up) on the remote control or on the soundbar.

• When using a digital input (Optical or HDMI), if there is no audio, try setting the TV output to PCM or connect directly to your Blu-ray/other sources, as some TVs do not pass through digital audio.

• Your TV may be set to variable audio output. Confirm that the audio output setting is set to FIXED or STANDARD, not VARIABLE.

If you play audio from your TV through the soundbar, make sure that the TV is muted.

• The device may not support the compatible profiles required for the soundbar.

• You have not enabled the Bluetooth function of the device. See the user manual of the device on how to enable the function.

• The device is not correctly connected. Connect the device correctly.

• The soundbar may already be connected with another Bluetooth device. Disconnect the connected device, and then try again.

The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the device closer to the soundbar, or remove any obstacle between the device and the soundbar.

• Ensure the Bluetooth function is activated on your Bluetooth device.

• Re-pair the unit with your Bluetooth device.

• Before you press any playback control button, first select the correct source.

• Reduce the distance between the remote control and the unit.

• Insert the battery with its polarities (+/-) aligned as indicated.

• Replace the battery.

• Aim the remote control directly at the sensor on the front of the unit.

Unplug the power cord from the mains socket, and plug it in again after 3 minutes to reset the subwoofer.
