The Dashboard is a side panel in Google TV that provides access to Settings, device controls, notifications, and more. It can be accessed in three ways:

1. Navigating to the profile icon in the upper right of the home screen.

2. Press the DASHBOARD key on the remote control.

3. Long press the HOME key on the remote control.

This remote control uses both Bluetooth and IR (infrared) to send its commands to the TV. To use advanced operations like voice search, you need to pair (link) the TV with the remote control.

1. When you start the initial TV installation, the TV invites you to press the Home + Back key to pair the remote control.

2. If pairing was lost, you can pair again by pressing the Home + Back key or long pressing the PAIR (SOURCES) key (approximate for 3 seconds).

3. Alternatively, go to Settings > Remote & accessories > Remote control settings > Pair remote control, then follow the on-screen instructions.

4. The remote control must be kept close to the TV (within 1m distance) during pairing.

You can search for videos, music, or anything else on the Internet by simply using your voice. You need to pair the remote control to the TV before use.

1. Press and hold the Voice key on the remote control. The blue light on the remote control lights up and the search field opens.

2. Speak out what you are looking for with clear pronunciation.

3. Once the voice input is done, release the Voice key to start the search.

Your remote control is treated with a scratch-resistant coating. To clean the remote control, use a soft damp cloth. Never use substances such as alcohol, chemicals, or household cleaners on the remote control.

To switch the TV on, press the Power button on the remote control or the small joystick key on the bottom of the TV. To switch the TV to standby, press the Power button on the remote control. You can also press the small joystick key on the bottom of the TV, select the Power icon, and press the joystick key.

The PHILIPS 43PUS8808 uses a VESA wall mount size of 100×200, M6 (min.: 10 mm, max.: 12 mm).

Make sure your satellite dish is connected correctly and aligned before starting.

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Channels > Satellite Installation and press OK.

2. Select Search for Satellite and press OK.

3. Select Search and press OK. The TV will search for satellites.

4. Select Install and press OK. The TV shows the current satellite installation setup.

5. If you want to change the setup (number of satellites or Unicable), select Settings. Otherwise, select Search.

6. Once satellites are found, select Install.

7. Select Finish to store the satellite setup and installed channels.

If you receive digital channels, you can set the TV to automatically update these channels. Once a day, at 7 AM, the TV updates the channels and stores new channels.

To switch off the automatic update:

1. Select Settings > Channels & Inputs > Channels > Antenna/Cable Installation or Antenna Installation and press OK.

2. Enter your PIN code if necessary.

3. Select Automatic Channel Update and press OK.

4. Select Off and press OK.

1. Press the TV button to switch to TV.

2. Press OK to open the current channel list.

3. Press OPTIONS.

4. Select Create Favourites List and press OK.

5. In the list at the left, select a channel you want as a favourite and press OK. Channels come in the list at the right in the order you add them.

6. To finish adding channels, press Back.

7. The TV will ask to rename the Favourites List. Use the on-screen keyboard to enter a name and select Close and press OK.

To prevent children from watching a channel, you can lock it. To watch a locked channel, you must enter the 4-digit Child Lock PIN code.

1. Press the TV button.

2. Press OK to open the channel list.

3. Select the channel you want to lock.

4. Press OPTIONS and select Lock Channel and press OK.

5. Enter your 4-digit PIN code if asked. A locked channel is marked with a lock icon.

To open the TV Guide, press the TV GUIDE key on the remote. The TV Guide shows the channels of the selected tuner. Press TV GUIDE again to close. To tune to a programme, select the programme and press OK.

Use a High Speed or Ultra High Speed HDMI cable to connect the device to the TV. For the best signal quality transfer, use an Ultra High Speed certified HDMI cable and do not use an HDMI cable longer than 5m. Connect the device to one of the HDMI ports on the TV. The TV automatically recognizes the device type.

Only HDMI 2 on the TV supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) and HDMI eARC. If your device, typically a Home Theatre System (HTS), soundbar, or AV receiver, also has the HDMI ARC connection, connect it to HDMI 2 on this TV.

1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > On/Off and ensure it is On.

2. In the list of found networks, select on your wireless network.

3. Enter your encryption key (WPA2 or WPA3) using the on-screen keyboard.

4. A message will be shown when the connection is successful.

1. Select Settings > Account & Sign-in and press OK.

2. Select Sign In and press OK.

3. Select Use your remote and press OK.

4. With the on-screen keyboard, enter your email address and press OK.

5. Enter your password and press OK to sign in.

1. Go to Settings > Display & Sound > Picture > Picture style.

2. Alternatively, select from Dashboard > Picture > Picture style.

3. Select a style such as Personal, Crystal Clear, Home Cinema, ECO, Movie, Game, or Monitor.

Press the AMBILIGHT button on the remote control to turn it on or off. You can also turn it on by selecting Settings > Display & Sound > Ambilight > Ambilight style > Enable. To switch off, press AMBILIGHT, press OK on the Enable option to toggle.

1. Press HOME and select the Apps tab.

2. Select Google Play Store app and open it.

3. Select the app you want to install and press OK.

4. Select Install button to start the installation.

1. Select Settings > System > About > System update > Internet (recommended) and press OK.

2. The TV will look for an update on the Internet.

3. If an update is available, you can update the software right away.

4. When the update is done, the TV will return to the channel you were watching.

1. Select Settings > System > About > Reset > Factory reset and press OK.

2. Enter your PIN code if necessary.

3. The TV will reinstall completely. All settings will be reset and installed channels will be replaced.

1. Insert the USB storage device into one of the USB connections on the TV.

2. Press SOURCES, select USB, and press OK.

3. Select USB Devices and select the connected device.

4. You can browse your files in the folder structure.

5. Press Play all to play files or select a specific file and press OK.

1. Switch on the Bluetooth device and place it within range of the TV.

2. Select Settings > Remote & accessories > Pair accessory.

3. Select Search and press OK. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the device.

The Gaming control bar is applicable when the Picture style is set to Game or Monitor modes. When the TV auto switches to Game mode, long press the MENU key to launch the gaming control bar. To deactivate it, press Back or it will close automatically after 20 seconds without interaction.

Disconnect the power cable from the power outlet. Wait for one minute then reconnect it. Make sure that the power cable is securely connected.

The TV requires some time to start up. During this time, it may not respond to the remote. If it continues to be unresponsive, check if the remote is working by using a mobile phone camera to see if the infrared LED flickers when a key is pressed. If the remote uses Bluetooth pairing, this check may not apply. Also, try replacing the batteries.

Make sure the antenna is properly connected. Loud speakers, unearthed audio devices, neon lights, high buildings, and other large objects can influence reception quality. Try to improve reception by changing the antenna direction or moving devices away from the TV.

Change to other video sources and then change back to the current source. Then do a picture style restore in Picture settings or do a Factory reset in General settings options.

Microwave ovens, DECT phones, or other Wi-Fi devices in your proximity might disturb the wireless network. Make sure the firewalls in your network allow access to the TV’s wireless connection. If the wireless network does not work properly, try the wired network installation.
