These instructions are intended as an aid to qualified licensed service personnel for proper installation, adjustment, and operation of this unit. Failure to follow these instructions may result in improper installation, adjustment, service or maintenance possibly resulting in fire, electrical shock, property damage, personal injury or death.

WARNINGS:

• Only trained and qualified service personnel should install, repair, or service the equipment.

• Use the attached accessories and specified parts for installation to prevent the unit from falling, water leakage, electrical shock, and fire.

• The appliance must be installed 2.3m above the floor.

• Do not install the appliance in a laundry room.

• Before accessing terminals, all supply circuits must be disconnected.

• Position the appliance so that the plug is accessible.

• Use the specified cable and connect it tightly. Clamp the cable so that no external force acts on the terminal. An imperfect connection can cause heat-up or fire.

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.

• An all-pole disconnection switch with a contact separation of at least 3mm in all poles should be connected in fixed wiring.

• When installing in a small room, take measures to prevent refrigerant concentration from exceeding safety limits in the event of a leak. Excessive refrigerant in a closed ambient can lead to oxygen deficiency.

CAUTIONS:

• Ensure the ground wire is not charged before installation. If it is, the unit must not be installed until corrected.

• Ground the air conditioner. Do not connect the ground wire to gas or water pipes, a lightning rod, or a telephone ground wire.

• Be sure to install an earth leakage breaker. Failure to do so may result in electric shocks.

• Install drain piping according to instructions to ensure proper drainage and insulate piping to prevent condensation.

• Install units and wiring at least 1 meter away from televisions or radios to prevent image interference or noise.

For safe and effective operation, use the MUNDOCLIMA MUCM-W15 within the following temperature ranges. Optimum performance will be achieved within these ranges.

Note: It is normal for the unit’s surface to condense water when the room humidity is high. Please close doors and windows in this situation. The water system operating pressure should be Max: 1.6MPa, Min: 0.15MPa.

Do not install the air conditioner in the following locations, as it may lead to equipment faults:

• There is petrolatum existing.

• There is salty air surrounding (near the coast).

• There is caustic gas (e.g., sulfide) in the air (near a hot spring).

• The Volt vibrates violently (in factories).

• In buses or cabinets.

• In a kitchen where it is full of oil gas.

• There is strong electromagnetic wave existing.

• There are inflammable materials or gas.

• There is acid or alkaline liquid evaporating.

• Other special conditions, such as sites with mineral oils (like cutting lubricant) or where corrosive gases exist.

Please follow these guidelines for selecting an installation site:

• Install the unit where there is enough space for installation and maintenance.

• Install the unit where the ceiling is horizontal and strong enough to bear the weight of the indoor unit.

• Install the unit where the air inlet and outlet are not baffled and are least affected by external air.

• Install the unit where the supply air flow can be sent to all parts of the room.

• Install the unit where it is easy to lead out the connective pipe and the drain pipe.

• Install the unit where convective heat is not emitted from a heat source directly.

Follow these steps for a general installation procedure:

1. Confirm Dimensions: Check the dimensions of your indoor unit model against the specification figure in the manual.

2. Install Pendant Bolts: Install four φ10 pendant bolts. The intervals are shown in the manual. The method varies by ceiling structure (wooden, concrete, steel beam).

• For wooden structures, put rectangular sticks across beams and set pendant bolts.

• For old concrete, use embedded bolts and pulling plugs.

• For steel beam structures, set and use supportive angle steel.

3. Prepare Ceiling Space: Before suspending the unit, extend refrigerant pipes, drain pipes, and connection wires to the connection position.

4. Suspend the Indoor Unit: Use tools like pulleys to hoist the unit onto the pendant bolts. Use a level (gradienter) to ensure the unit is perfectly horizontal to prevent water leaks.

5. Connect the Duct: The duct length is determined by the external static pressure requirements.

6. Install the Wire Control Switch: Refer to the installation manual of the wire controller for specific instructions.

To ensure proper operation and maintenance access, please maintain the following minimum clearances around the unit:

• More than 200mm on the pipe connection side.

• More than 100mm on the side opposite the pipe connections.

• More than 500mm below the unit for access.

• More than 300mm of clearance may be needed below the unit depending on the installation environment.

Follow these instructions for pipe connections:

• The unit has an air release valve; the other side is the water inlet pipe.

• When connecting the water collector, use a spanner and set the tightening torque to 6180-7540 N.cm (630-770 kgf.cm).

• The diameter of the connective junction in the water inlet and outlet pipe is RC3/4 tapper pipe thread inside.

• The diameter of the condensate pipe is ZG3/4 tapper pipe thread outside.

Proper drainage pipe installation is crucial to prevent leaks and damage. Follow these guidelines:

• The downward gradient of the drain pipe must be higher than 1/100 and should not have any upward bends (like an S-shape) in the middle.

• The total transverse length of the drain pipe should not exceed 20m. If the pipe is longer, a prop stand must be installed to prevent sagging.

• Centralized pipes should be distributed according to the figure in the manual, with prop stands every 1.5m to 2m.

• Ensure you perform heat insulation for the drain pipe of the indoor unit and the joint to prevent condensation. Use heat insulation materials.

• When connecting pipes, use a rigid PVC binder and ensure no leaks exist.

• Be careful not to apply force to the pipe side of the indoor unit during installation.

• Drain Test: Before finishing, ensure drain pipes are smooth and adapters are sealed. For newly built rooms, the drain test should be performed before the ceiling is laid.

Adhere to the following wiring cautions:

• The air conditioner should use a separate power supply with the rated voltage.

• The external power supply must have ground wiring, linked to the ground wiring of the indoor and outdoor unit.

• Wiring work must be done by qualified persons according to the circuit drawing.

• An all-pole disconnection device with at least 3mm separation in all poles and a residual current device (RCD) with a rating above 10mA must be incorporated in the fixed wiring according to national rules.

• The appliance must be installed in accordance with national wiring regulations.

• Be sure to locate power and signal wiring well to avoid cross-disturbance.

• Do not turn on the power until you have carefully checked all wiring.

The power cord type designation is H05RN-F or above.

The MUNDOCLIMA MUCM-W15 (DC fan coil) is set to a default static pressure of 12Pa from the factory. You can change this setting to match the actual static pressure requirements of your installation by adjusting the SW8 dial code switch on the main control board.

Note: The setting of the wire controller can also affect the static pressure.

The following table lists the fault definitions, codes, and failure classes for the MUNDOCLIMA MUCM-W15. Failure classes are defined as:

• L1: Fault shutdown, not recoverable.

• L2: Fault shutdown, recoverable.

• L3: Fault alert, unit maintains minimum function operation.

Note: For the DC ducted fan coil unit, there is no No. 10 T2A sensor failure and No. 11 T2B sensor failure.
