To ensure safety when installing and operating your MPAYEL 8002-BROWN ceiling fan, please follow these rules:

1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn off the electricity to the fan at the main fuse box or circuit panel before beginning.

2. All wiring must be in accordance with the local electrical codes or National Electrical Code. Electrical installation should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician.

3. To avoid personal injury, the use of gloves may be necessary while handling fan parts with sharp edges.

4. Make sure the installation site you choose allows clear space for the blades to rotate and at least seven 7 feet (2.13 meters) of clearance between the floor and the fan blade tips. The fan should be mounted so that the tips of the blades are at least 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) from walls or other upright structures.

5. WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or personal injury, mount the fan only to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support and use mounting screws provided with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for the support of lighting fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.

6. The outlet box and ceiling support structure must be securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 45 KGs.

7. To avoid personal injury or damage to the fan and other items, be cautious when working around or cleaning the fan.

8. Do not use water or detergents when cleaning the fan or fan blades. A dry dust cloth or lightly dampened cloth will be suitable for most cleaning.

9. After making electrical connections, spliced conductors should be turned upward and pushed carefully up into the outlet box. The wires should be spread apart with the grounded conductor and the equipment-grounding conductor on one side of the outlet box.

10. Electrical diagrams are for reference only.

11. The fan is suitable for indoor use only.

Before assembling your MPAYEL 8002-BROWN ceiling fan, refer to the section on the proper method of wiring your fan. If you feel you do not have enough wiring knowledge or experience, have your fan installed by a licensed electrician.

The wiring outlet box and box connectors must be of the type required by the local code. The minimum wire would be a 3-conductor (2-wire with ground) of the following size:

Follow these steps for the ground assembly of your MPAYEL 8002-BROWN ceiling fan:

Step 1: Twist the light cover counterclockwise and take it down.

Step 2: Pull out the socket of the light strip.

Step 3: Twist out the screw that locks the round hole in the disc. Loosen the remaining two screws.

Step 4: Twist the disc clockwise and take it down.

Step 5: Fix the three fan blades in turn with screws.

Step 6: Align the disc with the screw and snap it in, then tighten the screw.

Step 7: Connect the light strip socket.

Step 8: Rotate the shade clockwise to secure it.

Before installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected. The hanging location must allow a clearance of 7 feet (2.13 meters) from the floor and 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) from any wall or obstruction.

For a concrete ceiling:

Mark the location, then drill two holes in the ceiling. Secure the ceiling bracket with the two expansion screws provided. Tighten the screws.

For a wood ceiling:

Mark the location for the ceiling fan first. Secure the mounting bracket to the building structure with the four screws provided. Add a spacer to each screw.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, mount the fan to an outlet box marked acceptable for fan support of 15.88kg (35 lbs) or less. Use screws supplied with the outlet box. Most outlet boxes commonly used for support of light fixtures are not acceptable for fan support and may need to be replaced. Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt.

WARNING: Do not operate this fan with a variable (Rheostat) wall controller or dimmer switch. Doing so could result in damage to the ceiling fan’s remote control unit.

First, carefully lift the fan to the hook on the hanging plate and ensure it is safely attached.

Connect the ceiling fan wire (fire wire with fire wire, zero wire with zero wire) reserved with the ceiling plate. The wiring diagram shows the following connections:

– From the ceiling: Connect the Power neutral Line to the controller’s neutral line input. Connect the Power Cord (live line) to the controller’s live line input. Connect the Ground Wire to the yellow-green ground wire.

– Controller to Fan: Connect the controller output female terminal plug to the product motor input male terminal plug.

– Controller to Light: Connect the Led output female terminal plug to the Product Led input male terminal plug.

Note: The Antenna wire should not be connected to other wires.

To make the fan operational, install AAA/1.5V batteries in the hand-held remote. Store the remote away from excessive heat or humidity.

Remote Functions:

– ON/OFF: Light ON/OFF

– ALL OFF: ALL OFF

– K: Color Temperature Switch

– Moon/Star Icon: Small Night Light

– Brightness +: Click or long press to enhance brightness

– Brightness -: Click or long press to weaken brightness

– Color Temp +: Long press to increase color temperature

– Color Temp -: Long press to decrease color temperature

– F/R: Fan rotates forward / Fan rotates in reverse

– 2H: Turn off automatically after 2-hour countdown

– 123456: Fan speed, 1 is the weakest, 6 is the strongest

– Nature Wind Icon: Nature wind mode

– FAN OFF: Fan OFF

Remote Code Matching: Long press the “SET UP” button within 5 seconds of when the light is turned on. If it beeps 2 times, then the code is successfully matched.

You can control your fan via a smart device APP. Follow these steps:

1. APP Download: Scan the QR code in the user manual to download the APP, and register an account as per the instructions.

2. Add the device: Log in to the account, and click “+” to add the device. You can edit the device name and room, and choose the device type (such as fan light).

3. Pairing: After adding the device, click the device icon to go to the detail page. Cut off power to the device for 1-2 seconds and then power it back on. Then click the “Pairing” button. If it beeps 2 times, then the pairing is successfully done. Multiple devices can be matched at the same time.

4. After the pairing is done, you can use the APP to control the devices.

If airflow is desired in the opposite direction, directly tap the F/R button on the remote. The fan will stop and then rotate in the opposite direction.

If your MPAYEL 8002-BROWN fan will not start, check the following possible causes and remedies. For your own safety, turn off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before troubleshooting.

Probable Causes:

1. Fuse or circuit breaker is blown.

2. Loose power line connections to the fan, or loose switch wire connections in the switch housing.

3. Dead battery in remote control.

4. Reversing switch is in a neutral position.

Suggested Remedies:

1. Check main and branch circuit fuses or circuit breakers.

2. Check line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housings. CAUTION: Make sure main power is turned off!

3. Replace with a new battery.

4. Make sure the reversing switch position is all the way to one side.

If your MPAYEL 8002-BROWN fan is making noise, investigate these possible causes. For your own safety, turn off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before troubleshooting.

Probable Causes:

1. Loose screws in motor housing.

2. Wire connectors inside housing are rattling.

3. Motor noise caused by solid-state variable speed control.

Suggested Remedies:

1. Check to make sure all screws in the motor housing are snug (do not overtighten).

2. Check to make sure wire connectors in the switch housing are not rattling against each other or against the interior wall of the switch housing. CAUTION: Make sure main power is turned off!

3. Some fan motors are sensitive to signals from solid-state variable speed controls. Solid-state controls are not recommended; choose an alternative control method.

If your MPAYEL 8002-BROWN fan wobbles excessively, check these common issues. For your own safety, turn off power at the fuse box or circuit breaker before troubleshooting.

Probable Causes:

1. Setscrew in downrod support is loose.

2. Setscrew in downrod/hanger ball assembly is loose.

3. Hanger bracket and/or ceiling outlet box is not securely fastened.

Suggested Remedies:

1. Tighten both setscrews securely in the downrod support.

2. Tighten the setscrew in the hanging plate assembly.

3. Tighten the hanger bracket screws to the outlet box, and secure the outlet box.

Periodic cleaning of your new MPAYEL 8002-BROWN ceiling fan is the only maintenance that is needed. When cleaning, use only a soft brush or lint-free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Abrasive cleaning agents are not required and should be avoided to prevent damage to the finish.

CAUTION: Do not use water when cleaning your ceiling fan. It could damage the motor or the finish and create the possibility of electrical shock.
