The MIELE TRK 555 must only be used in a Miele tumble dryer specifically designated for this use. You must read and observe the operating instructions for your Miele tumble dryer in addition to the instructions for the MIELE TRK 555. Furthermore, all items to be aired or dried must be heat-resistant; if in doubt, line dry the items instead.

Before using the MIELE TRK 555, open the drum door and ensure the drum is empty. Do not place other textiles or objects in the dryer while using the MIELE TRK 555. It is recommended to ensure that the drum ribs are positioned horizontally opposite each other in the drum. You can rotate the drum by the ribs if necessary to achieve this position, which makes fitting the basket easier.

1. Guide the MIELE TRK 555 horizontally into the drum.

2. Lift the basket slightly at the back.

3. Fit the two prongs at the front of the MIELE TRK 555 into the two outer holes in the drum opening.

4. The MIELE TRK 555 will drop into position and be supported inside the dryer. Ensure the basket is horizontal and the prongs are correctly located.

After each use, first unload the items from the basket. Then, lift the MIELE TRK 555 slightly at the back, unclip the two prongs from the holes, and take the basket out of the dryer.

The MIELE TRK 555 has a maximum load capacity of 3.5 kg, which represents the wet weight of the items. Additionally, the maximum height of any item being dried must not exceed 200 mm.

The MIELE TRK 555 is suitable for items that should not be subjected to mechanical action. Examples include:

Woollen items: Gloves, scarves, socks, and hats.

Other textiles or items: Soft toys (e.g., teddy bears) and party wear (e.g., tops with sequins).

Items containing synthetic fabrics, Gore-Tex, or leather: Trainers and shoes with removable insoles, bags, and rucksacks.

You must only use the programs listed in the following table for the MIELE TRK 555:

To avoid damage, do not place large items in the MIELE TRK 555, such as long boots or large bags, that could come into contact with the drum or drum ribs. Sleeves, belts, and ties should be folded in or secured within the basket. Remove insoles from shoes and place them next to the shoes in the basket. Place lace ends inside the shoes. To ensure even airing or drying, dry only one pair of shoes at a time and open shoes or bags as wide as possible. We do not advise drying large woollen garments such as jumpers, as folds may become permanent. Only use the MIELE TRK 555 for clean items, and do not select the longest drying time to start with.

Clean the MIELE TRK 555 with a mild non-abrasive cleaning agent or a solution of washing-up liquid and water. Dry the basket thoroughly with a soft cloth.
