What are the most important safety instructions for this washer?
To reduce the risk of death, fire, explosion, electric shock, or injury, follow these basic precautions:
Read the instruction manual before using the appliance.
DO NOT wash or dry articles that have been previously cleaned in, washed in, soaked in or spotted with gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances, as they give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
DO NOT add gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances to the wash water. These substances give off vapors that could ignite or explode.
Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot-water system that has not been used for 2 weeks or more. HYDROGEN GAS IS EXPLOSIVE. If the hot water system has not been used for such a period, before using a washing machine, turn on all hot-water faucets and let the water flow from each for several minutes. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas. As the gas is flammable, DO NOT smoke or use an open flame during this time.
DO NOT allow children to play on or in this appliance. Close supervision of children is necessary when this appliance is used near children. Before the washer is removed from service or discarded, remove the door or lid.
DO NOT reach into the appliance if the drum or other components are moving to prevent accidental entanglement.
DO NOT install or store this appliance where it will be exposed to the weather.
DO NOT tamper with controls, repair or replace any part of this appliance or attempt any servicing unless specifically recommended in the user maintenance instructions or in published user repair instructions that you understand and have the skills to carry out.
Keep the area around your appliance clean and dry to reduce the possibility of slipping.
DO NOT operate this appliance if it is damaged, malfunctioning, partially disassembled, or has missing or broken parts including a damaged cord or plug.
Unplug the appliance or turn off the circuit breaker before servicing. Pressing the Power button DOES NOT disconnect power.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with appliance.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
The new hose-sets bought from the retailer where the product was purchased are to be used and that old hose-sets should not be reused.

Fabric Softener Compartment (center):
Pour the recommended amount of liquid fabric softener into the compartment labeled “FABRIC SOFTENER”. Dilute with water to the maximum fill line. Do not exceed the maximum fill line. Do not pour fabric softener directly on the wash load.
How should I sort wash loads and prepare clothes for washing?
Always follow the fabric manufacturer’s care label when laundering.
Sorting Wash Loads:
Sort laundry into loads that can be washed together based on the following:
| COLOURS | SOIL | FABRIC | LINT |
|---|---|---|---|
| Whites | Heavy | Delicates | Lint Producers |
| Lights | Normal | Easy Care | Lint Collectors |
| Darks | Light | Sturdy Cottons |
Combine large and small items in a load. Load large items first. Large items should not be more than half the total wash load.
Washing single items is not recommended as it may cause an out-of-balance load. Add one or two similar items.
Pillows and comforters should not be mixed with other items, as this may cause an out-of-balance load.
Preparing Clothes:
To avoid snags, follow these steps:
Close garment zippers, snaps, buttons and hooks.
Mend seams, hems, and tears.
Empty all items from pockets.
Remove non-washable garment accessories such as ornaments and trim materials.
To avoid tangling, tie strings, draw ties and belt-like materials.
Brush away surface dirt and lint.
Promptly wash wet or stained garments to maximize results.
Use nylon mesh garment bags to wash small items.
How do I clean and care for my washer?
Exterior: Immediately wipe off any spills with a damp cloth. Do not hit the surface with sharp objects.
Interior (Tub Clean): To clean the interior, select the Tub Clean feature on the control panel at least once per month. This cycle uses more water and bleach to control soil and detergent buildup.
1. Remove all garments or objects from the washer.
2. Open the door and pour one cup (250 ml) of liquid bleach or other washing machine cleaner into the basket.
3. Close the door, select the Tub Clean cycle, and press the Start/Pause (▷II) button.
4. The cycle will complete in about 90 minutes. Do not interrupt it.

1. Using a coin or flat screwdriver, open the pump filter access door at the bottom front of the washer.
2. Place a shallow pan or dish under the access door and towels on the floor to catch water.
3. Pull down the pour spout.
4. Turn the pump filter counterclockwise and remove it. Open it slowly to allow water to drain.
5. Clean any debris from the filter.
6. Replace the filter and turn it clockwise. Tighten securely.
7. Flip up the pour spout.
8. Close the access door.
What should I do when moving, storing, or going on a long vacation?
Ask a service technician to remove water from the drain pump and hoses. Do not store the washer where it will be exposed to weather. When moving the washer, the tub should be kept stationary by using the shipping bolts removed during installation.
Be sure the water supply is shut off at the faucets. Drain all water from the hoses if the weather will be below freezing.
What should I do if the washer is not draining, spinning, or agitating?
Load is out of balance: Redistribute clothes and run a drain & spin or rinse & spin cycle. Increase the load size if washing a small load with heavy and light items.
Pump clogged: Clean the Pump Filter.
Drain hose is kinked or improperly connected: Straighten the drain hose and make sure the washer is not sitting on it.
Household drain may be clogged: Check household plumbing. You may need to call a plumber.
Drain hose siphoning: Ensure there is an air gap between the hose and drain; the hose should not be pushed too far down the drain.
What should I do if the washer is leaking water?
Door gasket is damaged: Check to see if the gasket is seated and not torn. Objects left in pockets (nails, screws, pens) may cause damage.
Door gasket not damaged: Water may drip from the door when it is opened; this is normal. Carefully wipe off the rubber door seal. Dirt or clothing left in the seal can cause a small leak.
Check back left of washer for water: If this area is wet, you have an oversudsing condition. Use less detergent.
Fill hoses or drain hose is improperly connected: Make sure hose connections are tight at the washer and faucets and the end of the drain hose is correctly inserted and secured to the drain facility.
Household drain may be clogged: Check household plumbing; you may need to call a plumber.
Dispenser clogged: Powder soap may cause clogs inside the dispenser. Remove and clean the drawer and the dispenser box.
Incorrect use of detergent: Use HE detergent and the correct amount.
Dispenser box crack: If new installation, check for a crack on the inside of the dispenser box.
Why are my clothes too wet after a cycle?
Load is out of balance: Redistribute clothes and run a drain & spin or rinse & spin cycle. Increase load size if washing a small load with heavy and light items. The machine may slow the spin speed to 400 rpm if it has a hard time balancing the load; this is normal.
Pump clogged: Clean the Pump Filter.
Overloading: The dry weight of the load should be less than 18 lbs.
Drain hose is kinked or improperly connected: Straighten the drain hose and make sure the washer is not sitting on it.
Household drain may be clogged: Check household plumbing.
Drain hose siphoning: Ensure there is an air gap between the hose and drain.
Why is the cycle incomplete or the timer not advancing?
Automatic load redistribution: The timer adds 3 minutes to the cycle for each rebalance. Up to 11 or 15 rebalances may be done. This is normal operation. Do nothing; the machine will finish the wash cycle.
Pump clogged: Clean the Pump Filter.
Drain hose issues: Straighten a kinked hose or ensure an air gap for a siphoning hose.
Household drain may be clogged: Check household plumbing.
Why is the washer making a loud or unusual noise, or vibrating?
Cabinet moving: The washer is designed to move 1/4″ to reduce forces transmitted to the floor. This movement is normal.
All rubber leveling legs are not firmly touching the floor: Push and pull on the back corners of the washer to check if it is level. If uneven, adjust the rubber leveling legs so they are all firmly touching the floor and locked in place.
Unbalanced load: Open the door and manually redistribute the load. To check the machine, run a rinse and spin cycle with no load.
Pump clogged: Clean the Pump Filter.
Why is there no power or the washer is not working/dead?
Washer is unplugged: Make sure the cord is plugged securely into a working outlet.
Water supply is turned off: Turn the cold faucet fully on.
Circuit breaker/fuse is tripped/blown: Check the house circuit breaker/fuses. Replace fuses or reset the breaker. The washer should have a separate outlet.
Automatic self system checks: The first time the washer is plugged in, automatic checks occur. It may take up to 2 minutes before you can use your washer. This is normal.
Why are there snags, holes, tears, or excessive wear on my clothes?
Overloaded: The dry weight of the load should be less than 18 lbs.
Pens, pencils, nails, screws or other objects left in pockets: Remove loose items from pockets.
Pins, snaps, hooks, sharp buttons, belt buckles, zippers and sharp objects left in pockets: Fasten snaps, hooks, buttons, and zippers before washing.
Why is the control time wrong or changing during the cycle?
This is normal. During the spin cycle, the washer may need to rebalance the load to reduce vibrations. When this happens, the estimated time is increased, causing the time left on the display to increase or jump.
Why is there not enough water in the washer?
This is normal. Front-load (horizontal) washers do not require the tub to fill with water like top-load washers do.
Why does the washer pause, need to be restarted, or the door is locked and will not open?
Pump clogged: Clean the Pump Filter.
Why doesn’t the machine operate after the door unlocks or I press start?
This is normal: Front-load washers start up differently than top-load washers. It takes about 30 seconds to check the system, during which the door will lock and unlock.
Incorrect operation: Simply open and close the door firmly, then press the Start/Pause (▷II) button.
Why does water not enter the washer or enter slowly?
Automatic self system checks: After the Start/Pause (▷II) button is pressed, the washer performs several system checks. Water will flow about 60 seconds after the button is pressed.
Water supply is turned off: Turn on the water supply.
Water valve screens are stopped up: Turn off the water source and remove the water connection hoses from the upper back of the washer. Use a brush or toothpick to clean the screens in the machine. Reconnect the hoses and turn the water back on.
Why are my clothes wrinkling?
Improper sorting: Avoid mixing heavy items (like work clothes) with light items (like blouses).
Overloading: Load your washer so clothes have enough room to move freely.
Incorrect wash cycle: Match the cycle selection to the type of fabric you are washing, especially for easy-care loads.
Repeated washing in water that is too hot: Wash in warm or cold water.
Why are my clothes grayed or yellowed?
Not enough detergent: Use the correct amount of detergent.
Not using HE (high-efficiency) detergent: Use HE detergent.
Hard water: Use the hottest water safe for the fabric. Use a water conditioner or install a water softener.
Detergent is not dissolving: Try a liquid detergent.
Dye transfer: Sort clothes by color. If a fabric label states to wash separately, unstable dyes may be indicated.
Why are there colored spots on my clothes?
Incorrect use of fabric softener: Check the fabric softener package for instructions and follow directions for using the dispenser.
Dye transfer: Sort whites or lightly colored items from dark colors. Promptly remove the wash load from the washer after the cycle finishes.
Why is there a smell inside my washer?
This can be caused by the washer being unused for a long time, not using the recommended quality of HE detergent, or using too much detergent.
Run a Tub Clean cycle once a month. For a strong smell, you may need to run it more than once a month.
Use only the amount of detergent recommended on the detergent container.
Use only HE (high-efficiency) detergent.
Always remove wet items from the washer promptly after the machine stops running.
Leave the door slightly open for the water to air dry. Close supervision is necessary if this appliance is used by or near children.
Why is detergent leaking?
Incorrect placement of detergent insert: Make sure the detergent insert is properly located and fully seated. Never put detergent above the max line.
Why is there improper dispensing of softener or bleach?
Dispenser clogged: Monthly clean the dispenser drawer to remove the buildup of chemicals.
Softener or bleach is filled above the max line: Make sure to have the correct amount of softener or bleach.
Softener or bleach cap issue: Make sure the softener and bleach cap for the dispenser are seated correctly, or they will not work.
What do the error codes mean?
| Description | Reason | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| E30 | Door is not closed properly | Restart after the door is closed. Check if clothes are stuck. |
| E10 | Water injecting problem while washing | Check if the water pressure is too low. Straighten the water hoses. Check if the inlet valve filter is blocked. |
| E21 | Overtime water draining | Check if the drain hose is blocked, clean drain filter. |
