The MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S comes with the following items:

To power on the unit, first connect it to a power supply and then press the power button on the front panel. To put the unit into standby, press the power button again. Note that after connecting to a power supply for the first time, it takes approximately 30 seconds for the unit to start up.

You can set the output volume of the MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S by turning the knob on the front of the device. If the Lineout Mode is set to Fixed through the MA Remote App, the line output volume will not be adjustable. To mute the device, press the knob once; to unmute, press the knob again or turn it.

The MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S features two types of headphone jacks on the front panel: a 6.35 mm headphone jack for single-ended headphones and a 4.4 mm headphone jack for balanced headphones.

The MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S features a touch-sensitive playback control area. You can swipe right on the screen to open the shortcut page and swipe left to open the main menu.

When using the remote control for the MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S, keep the following in mind:

1. Slide the battery holder open in the direction of the arrow and ensure correct polarity when installing batteries.

2. The operating distance is approximately 8 meters.

3. If the battery is low, the LED indicator on the remote will flash red, and a notification will appear on the device screen.

4. To prevent one remote from controlling multiple devices in the same room, you can configure one of five preset address codes in the Settings menu under Remote Control.

For a LAN connection, connect the MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S to the LAN port of a network router using an Ethernet cable. It is recommended to use a router set as a DHCP server. Select “LAN” in the Network option of the Settings menu.

For a Wi-Fi connection, go to the Settings menu, select Network, then Wi-Fi. Choose your network SSID and enter the password. The device supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks. A globe icon in the status bar indicates that the connection has no internet access.

To use the MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S with a Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11 computer, follow these steps:

Step 1. Double-click the driver installation package and click Next.

Step 2. Select the installation path and click Install.

Step 3. Click Next once the installation is complete.

Step 4. Click Finish to close the Setup Wizard.

For macOS, no driver installation is required; simply select the device as the audio output device in Sound Preferences.

Blue dot: Specifically indicates it is playing an MQA Studio file, which has been approved in the studio by the artist/producer or verified by the copyright owner.

Magenta dot: Indicates the unit is rendering an MQA stream or file, delivering the final unfold of the MQA file.

To ensure safe and optimal operation of the MATRIX AUDIO ELEMENT M2 S, follow these guidelines:
