The mixer has two belts: one in the canopy and one in the arm. Belts should be checked frequently as they stretch most during the first few hours of operation. Both belts should have 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch of play.

To tighten the belt inside the canopy: Loosen the bolts anchoring the motor mount plate to the mixer frame. Slide the plate down the frame to tighten the belt, then re-tighten the anchor bolts.

To tighten the belt inside the arm: Loosen the 4 nuts anchoring the gearbox on the arm. Turn the adjustment bolt to tighten the belt. Do not over-tighten as this shortens drive life. Re-tighten the gearbox anchor bolts once adjusted.

Note: Always kill the motor and disconnect the spark plug wire (or unplug from power source) before touching the belts.

Check the engine oil level in the crankcase at the start of every working day.

Change the oil monthly and clean the air filter weekly to ensure consistently good performance.

It is critical to keep the engine pulley and the drive pulley in line with one another. Failure to maintain this alignment will cause the belt to twist and break.

Check all of the mixer’s mounting hardware monthly to ensure all nuts and bolts are properly tightened.

If it becomes necessary to remove the drum, follow these steps for re-assembly:

1. Carefully clean the gear shaft cone and the drum cone.

2. Place the drum onto the shaft cone, ensuring the shaft shear pin is properly seated inside the drum cone.

3. Block the drum tightening screw with its washer.

4. Tighten the drum tightening screw to the following torque specification: 220 +/- 20 Nm.
