How can I maintain my MAKITA XNB03 for safety and reliability?

CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before attempting to perform inspection or maintenance.

NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner, alcohol or the like, as it may cause discoloration, deformation, or cracks.

For preventive maintenance, thoroughly clean and inspect moving components (i.e., contact element, nail pusher, etc.) on a regular basis. Keep them free of dust and dirt that may accumulate over time.

If the moving and sliding components, such as the nail feeding rails, nailing depth adjuster, contact element, and nail pusher seem to work poorly or inefficiently, blow any dirt and dust off and then wipe them clean.

To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY, repairs and any other maintenance or adjustment should be performed by Makita Authorized or Factory Service Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.

What are some tips for maintaining maximum battery life for the MAKITA XNB03?

1. Charge the battery cartridge before it is completely discharged. Always stop tool operation and charge the battery cartridge when you notice less tool power.
