To connect your LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED headset to a PC, please follow these steps:

Step 1. Turn on the headset by sliding the power switch up. Out of the box, the headset will be in LIGHTSPEED wireless mode by default. The LED indicator will be white, indicating USB wireless mode.

Step 2. Insert the Receiver (dongle) into a USB port on your PC.

Step 3. The LED on the dongle will slow blink white while searching for the headset connection and will turn solid white when the connection is established.

Step 4. Open your Windows sound settings and confirm that the LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED headset is set as the default Output and Input device.

To connect your LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED headset via Bluetooth®, follow these instructions:

Step 1. Turn on the headset by sliding the power switch up. By default, it will be in LIGHTSPEED wireless mode, indicated by a white LED.

Step 2. Press and hold the Bluetooth® / Wireless button for 3 seconds. The LED will fast blink blue, and you will hear a sonification when it enters pairing mode.

Step 3. Follow the Bluetooth® connection steps on your device to complete the pairing with the LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED.

Note: If the headset is powered down while in Bluetooth® mode, it will default to Bluetooth® mode when powered on again. Conversely, if it is switched back to LIGHTSPEED wireless mode and then powered down, it will default to LIGHTSPEED wireless when powered on again.

To use the LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED headset with a wired USB audio connection:

Step 1. Turn the headset on by sliding the power switch up.

Step 2. Ensure the headset is in LIGHTSPEED wireless mode. You will hear the “LIGHTSPEED” voice prompt and see a white LED indication when powering on. If you are not in LIGHTSPEED mode, press the Bluetooth® mode button until you hear the “LIGHTSPEED” voice prompt and see the white LED indicator.

Step 3. Connect your headset to your PC, Playstation, or Nintendo Switch dock using the included USB-A to USB-C cable.

Step 4. The PC will automatically switch audio and communication devices to USB wired. The LED indicator on the headset will show a Cyan color to indicate it is in wired USB mode.

NOTE: USB wired and USB wireless modes cannot be used at the same time. If the USB dongle is plugged in while the USB cable is also plugged in, the LED indicator on the dongle will slowly blink white, indicating it has lost connection with the headset.

If you need to reset the connection between your LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED headset and its dongle, follow these steps:

Step 1. Plug in the Dongle. If it is already plugged in, unplug it and then re-plug it.

Step 2. Remove the left earpad cushion from the headset.

Step 3. Use a paperclip to long press the headset pairing button located under the earpad.

Step 4. Use a paperclip to press the dongle pairing button.

To switch between modes, short press the Bluetooth® / Wireless toggle button. The LED indicator will show which mode the headset is in.

Blue LED: Indicates the headset is in Bluetooth® mode.

White LED: Indicates the headset is in LIGHTSPEED wireless mode.

Cyan LED: Indicates the headset is in USB wired mode.

Note: The headset will only switch to USB wired mode when it is connected via a USB cable. The LIGHTSPEED wireless mode cannot be switched to or used while the headset is connected via a USB cable.

On PC (Windows / Mac):

Use the volume roller on the headset to adjust the volume. The headset volume will sync with the Operating System volume.

On Console (PlayStation or Switch in docked mode):

The headset will control its own volume, which will be independent of the console’s system volume. Use the volume roller on the headset to make adjustments.

To mute the microphone, press the mic mute button to engage the mute function. When the mic is muted, red will be visible at the base of the mic button, and the LED at the end of the mic boom will also light red.

The elastic suspension headband on the LOGITECH G522 LIGHTSPEED headset is designed to accommodate a wide range of head sizes and shapes. The headband can be attached at two anchor points of differing lengths to finetune the tension when worn, allowing you to better suit your level of comfort.
