The LITTLE DOCTOR LD11 is designed to measure the systolic and diastolic blood pressure and determine the heart rate of patients aged 15 years and older. It is recommended for use by patients with unstable blood pressure or known hypertension at home as a supplement to medical supervision. The cuff fits a wrist with a circumference of about 12.5 to 20.5 cm. The pressure is measured in the range from 40 to 260 mm Hg, and the pulse rate is measured in the range from 40 to 160 beats per minute.

The LITTLE DOCTOR LD11 uses the oscillometric method with Fuzzy Algorithm technology to measure blood pressure and pulse rate. The cuff, with the electronic unit fixed on it, is wrapped around the wrist. When you press the On/Off button, the device automatically inflates the cuff. The measurement is then taken during the slow deflation of the cuff. The device’s sensitive element detects weak pressure oscillations in the cuff, which are caused by the expansion and contraction of arteries with each heartbeat. The amplitude of this pressure wave is measured, converted to millimeters of mercury, and displayed as a digital value. The device also features an arrhythmia indicator and a memory that can store up to 90 readings with an average value calculation function.

The LITTLE DOCTOR LD11 uses the following technologies:

Fuzzy Algorithm: An algorithm for processing measurement data that considers the features of the human heart, providing higher accuracy.

The scale of the WHO: A classification of measurement results according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Indication of arrhythmia: A special heart icon on the display informs you about the presence of an irregular heartbeat.

1. Blood pressure is subject to sharp fluctuations. It is usually lower in the summer and higher in winter. Factors like physical activity, stress, diet, medicines, alcohol, and smoking have a great influence. For accurate readings, take measurements at room temperature (approximately 20°C).

2. In cases of cardiovascular diseases, take measurements during the hours defined by your doctor.

3. If you have conditions like vascular deep sclerosis, a weak pulse wave, or severe heart rhythm disturbances, correct measurement can be difficult. In these cases, get advice from a certified physician.

4. Remain quiet during the measurement to get the right readings. Measurements should be conducted in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. An hour before measuring, you should avoid eating. For 1.5-2 hours before, avoid smoking, soft drinks, and alcohol.

5. The cuff size must match your arm size. A cuff that is too small or too large will produce inaccurate results.

6. Repeat measurements with an interval of at least 3 minutes to allow blood circulation to restore. For individuals with severe atherosclerosis or long-term diabetes, a longer interval of 10-15 minutes is required. It is recommended to take a series of 3 consecutive measurements and calculate the average value.

7. Blood pressure at the wrist may differ from the pressure on the arm. For a healthy person, this difference is typically within +/-10 mm Hg for both systolic and diastolic pressure. Caution is needed for people with conditions like hypertension, diabetes, or obstructed peripheral circulation, as the difference may be more significant.

1. Remove the battery compartment cover and insert two AAA batteries, following the polarity diagram inside the compartment. Do not use excessive force when removing the cover.

2. Close the battery compartment cover.

Replace all batteries when the display continuously shows the battery replacement indicator or if there is no indication on the screen. The battery replacement indicator does not show the degree of discharge. It is recommended to use alkaline batteries.

1. To access the date and time setting mode, press and hold the ‘M’ key. The initial option will flash.

2. To change the selected option, press the ‘M’ key again. The value will increase.

3. Press the ‘◇’ key to proceed to setting the next parameter: year, month, day, hour, and minute.

If you do not take any action in the setting mode for more than 1 minute, the device will switch back to displaying the date and time. If you change the batteries, the time and date will reset to the original values. You can still measure pressure and pulse rate without setting the date and time.

Correct posture for measurement (with a table):

1. Sit on a chair.

2. Lift your left hand slightly with the palm up and place your elbow on the table.

3. Place the cuff at heart level by placing your forearm on the case or a folded towel.

When there is no table:

1. Sit on a chair.

2. Place the cuff at heart level, lightly pressing your left hand to your chest.

3. During the measurement, hold your left hand slightly with your right hand.

Pressure measurement while lying down:

1. Lie on your back.

2. Place the cuff at heart level, using a case or a folded towel.

Important Notes:

• Sit in a chair and take 5-6 deep breaths to relax before the measurement.

• Results can vary depending on posture. Do not cross your legs during the measurement.

• Measurements should be taken on the same wrist in the same position.

• If the cuff is below the heart, the measurement will be overstated. If it is above the heart, the measurement will be understated.

1. Hold your left hand palm up. Place the cuff on the wrist so that the housing is on the side of the palm. The cuff can be worn on your left wrist, or on the right, but results may vary slightly.

2. Place the cuff on your arm so that its edge is 5-10 mm from the edge of your palm. Position the device at the center of your wrist.

3. Fix the cuff at the wrist so that there is no free space between the cuff and your wrist. The cuff should fit comfortably.

When putting on the cuff, make sure that clothing does not get under the cuff.

1. Before measuring, take 5-6 deep breaths and relax. Do not move, talk, or strain your arm during the measurement.

2. Touch the ‘◇’ key to begin.

3. The display will briefly show all characters, and the appliance will automatically inflate the cuff. Initially, the pumping stops at 190 mm Hg.

4. After reaching 190 mm Hg, the cuff pressure will gradually decrease. The values on the screen will decrease. The pulse is indicated by a flashing heart symbol «♥».

5. Blood pressure and pulse are measured during air release from the cuff. It is important to remain still, not move your hand, and not strain your arm muscles during this time.

6. At the end of the measurement, the device releases all air from the cuff, and the display shows the measurement result.

7. The numerical result is also shown on the WHO scale on the left of the display, which classifies the reading as normal, high normal, or a degree of hypertension.

8. To turn the unit off, touch the ‘◇’ key. To re-measure, repeat the steps in this section after a break of at least 3 minutes to restore blood circulation.

If the initial pressure level of 190 mm Hg is insufficient, or if there is hand movement during the measurement, the LITTLE DOCTOR LD11 will stop measuring and automatically inflate the cuff to the next higher level of pumping. The device has 4 fixed inflation levels: 190, 230, 270, and 300 mm Hg. This automatic re-inflating of the cuff is repeated until the measurement is completed successfully and is not a malfunction.

If you need to quickly relieve the pressure in the cuff during a measurement, touch the ‘◇’ key. The device will quickly release the air from the cuff and turn off.

The LITTLE DOCTOR LD11 automatically stores each measurement (blood pressure, heart rate, date, and time). The device can save up to 90 measurements and an average of the last 3. When the memory exceeds 90 readings, the oldest data is automatically replaced.

To view the saved data:

1. Press the ‘M’ key. The symbol “A” will briefly appear on the screen, displaying the average value of all stored readings.

2. Press the ‘M’ key again. The index “1” will briefly appear, followed by the result of the last measurement.

3. The date and time of the measurement will be alternately displayed in the lower-left corner of the display.

4. Each time you press the ‘M’ key, the index number will increase, and the contents of that memory location will be displayed.

To remove all stored measurement results from the memory of the LITTLE DOCTOR LD11, press and hold the ‘M’ key for more than 5 seconds. The display will show the symbol «Clr» and then the entire memory will be cleared.

1. Protect the appliance from excessive moisture, direct sunlight, shock, and vibration. The unit is not waterproof.

2. Do not store or use the device near heaters or open flames.

3. If not using the device for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent damage from electrolyte leakage. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

4. Keep the unit free of dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.

5. Do not allow the unit or its parts to come into contact with water, solvents, alcohol, or gasoline.

6. Keep the cuff and tubes away from sharp objects.

7. Do not expose the unit to strong shocks or drop it.

8. The cuff is resistant to multiple sanitizations. You can clean the inside tissue of the cuff (the part in contact with the arm) with a cotton swab dipped in a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. Prolonged use may cause partial bleaching of the textiles. Do not wash the cuff or treat it with a hot iron.
