Always comply with the following precautions to avoid dangerous situations and ensure peak performance of your product:

• Read, keep, and heed all instructions and warnings.

• Do not use this apparatus near water.

• Clean only with a dry cloth.

• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

• Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

• Do not allow an impact shock or any objects to fall into the product, and do not drop anything onto the screen.

• Ensure proper grounding to prevent possible electric shock.

To prevent image burn, which is not covered by the warranty, please follow these guidelines:

• If a fixed image is displayed on the TV screen for a long period, it will become imprinted and lead to a permanent disfigurement. This is known as “image burn” or “burn-in”.

• Avoid displaying a fixed image on the TV screen for a long period of time (2 or more hours for LCD).

• If the aspect ratio of the TV is set to 4:3 for a long period of time, image burn may occur on the letterboxed area of the screen.

Viewing Environment:

• Viewing Time: When watching 3D content, take a 5-15 minute break every hour. Viewing 3D content for a long period may cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue, or eye strain.

• Viewing Distance: Maintain a distance of at least twice the screen’s diagonal length when watching 3D content. If you feel discomfort, move further away from the TV.

Viewing Age:

• Infants/Children: Viewing 3D content for children under the age of 5 is prohibited. Children under 10 may overreact and require special monitoring.

• Teenagers: Teenagers under the age of 19 should not watch 3D videos for a long time when they are tired.

• Elderly: The elderly may perceive less of a 3D effect. Do not sit closer than the recommended distance.

Health Precautions:

• Some users may experience a seizure or other abnormal symptoms when exposed to flashing lights or patterns from 3D content.

• Do not watch 3D videos if you feel nausea, are pregnant, or have a chronic illness such as epilepsy, cardiac disorder, or blood pressure disease.

• If you experience symptoms like headache, eyeball pain, dizziness, nausea, blurriness, or fatigue, stop watching 3D content and rest until the symptoms subside. Consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

• Make sure to use LG 3D glasses. Otherwise, you may not be able to view 3D videos properly.

• Do not use 3D glasses instead of your normal glasses, sunglasses, or protective goggles.

• Using modified 3D glasses may cause eye strain or image distortion.

• Do not keep your 3D glasses in extremely high or low temperatures, as it will cause deformation.

• The 3D glasses are fragile and can be easily scratched. Always use a soft, clean piece of cloth when wiping the lenses. Do not scratch the lenses with sharp objects or clean them with chemicals.

1. Open the package and make sure all the accessories are included.

2. Attach the stand to the TV set.

3. Connect an external device to the TV set.

4. Make sure the network connection is available. You can use the TV network functions only when the network connection is made.

The Intelligent sensor adjusts the image quality and brightness based on the surrounding environment.

• Avoid touching the screen at all times, as this may result in damage to the screen.

• It is recommended to move the TV in the box or packing material that it originally came in.

• Before moving or lifting the TV, disconnect the power cord and all cables.

• When holding the TV, the screen should face away from you to avoid damage.

• When transporting a large TV, there should be at least 2 people.

• When transporting the TV by hand, hold the TV upright, never turn it on its side or tilt it.

• Hold the top and bottom of the TV frame firmly. Make sure not to hold the transparent part, speaker, or speaker grill area.

To attach the stand, follow these steps:

1. Place the screen facing down on a cushioned table or flat surface to protect the screen from scratches.

2. Align the Stand Body with the TV’s connection point and secure it with the four provided M4 x 20 screws.

3. Align the Stand Base with the Stand Body and secure it with the remaining four M4 x 20 screws.

4. Ensure you tighten the screws firmly to prevent the TV from tilting forward.

Mounting on a table:

1. Lift and tilt the TV into its upright position on a table.

2. Leave a 10 cm (4 inches) minimum space from the wall for proper ventilation.

3. Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.

Adjusting the angle:

You can swivel the TV 10±2 degrees to the left or right to adjust the angle to suit your view. Be careful not to pinch your fingers when adjusting.

Securing the TV to a table (Depending on model):

To prevent the TV from tilting or falling, you can secure it to a table.

1. Connect the Desk-mount Cables to the Stand Base using the Bracket Screws.

2. Fix the Desk-mount Cables to the table using the Desk-mount Screws.

3. Once the TV is fixed, move the table close to the wall.

When wall mounting, use screws and a wall mount bracket that meet the VESA standard. LG recommends that wall mounting be performed by a qualified professional installer.

Cautions for Wall Mounting:

• Disconnect the power first before moving or installing the TV.

• If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe injury. Use an authorized LG wall mount.

• Do not over-tighten the screws, as this may cause damage to the TV and void your warranty.

• Use screws and wall mounts that meet the VESA standard. Any damages or injuries from misuse or using an improper accessory are not covered by the warranty.

1. Gather and bind the cables with the provided cable holder.

2. Fix the cable management clip firmly to the TV to keep the cables tidy.

CAUTION: Do not move the TV by holding the cable holder, as it may break and cause injury or damage to the TV.

HDMI Connection (Best Quality):

Transmits digital video and audio signals. Connect the external device and the TV with an HDMI cable. You can choose any HDMI input port.

• Use the latest High Speed HDMI™ Cable with CEC (Customer Electronics Control) function.

• The HDMI IN 1 (ARC) port supports Audio Return Channel, which allows digital audio to be sent to a compatible audio device without an additional optical audio cable.

DVI to HDMI Connection:

Transmits a digital video signal. Connect the external device to the TV’s HDMI IN 4 (PC) port using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. To transmit an audio signal, connect a separate audio cable from the device’s audio out to the TV’s (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port.

Component Connection:

Transmits analog video and audio signals. Connect the device and the TV with a component cable. Use the provided green component video cable for the Y, Pb, Pr connections and the provided yellow composite video cable for the L/R audio connections. Ensure each cable is matched with the corresponding color connection.

Composite Connection:

Transmits analog video and audio signals. Connect the device and the TV with the provided composite cable, matching the yellow (video), white (left audio), and red (right audio) plugs to the corresponding ports on both devices.

It is recommended to use an HDMI connection for the best image quality. Choose one of the following methods:

Method A: HDMI Connection

Connect your PC’s HDMI output to any HDMI input port on the TV. It is recommended to connect to HDMI IN 4.

Method B: DVI to HDMI Connection

Connect your PC’s DVI output to the TV’s HDMI IN 4 (PC) port using a DVI-to-HDMI cable. For audio, connect a separate audio cable from your PC’s audio out to the TV’s (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port.

Method C: RGB Connection

Connect your PC’s RGB OUT (VGA) port to the TV’s RGB (PC) input using an RGB cable. For audio, connect a separate audio cable from your PC’s audio out to the TV’s (RGB/HDMI-PC) AUDIO IN port.

You can use an optional external audio system instead of the built-in speaker. If you do, set the TV speaker feature to off.

Digital Optical Audio Connection:

This method transmits a digital audio signal from the TV to an external device.

1. Connect an optical audio cable from the TV’s OPTICAL DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port to the optical audio input on your digital audio system (e.g., soundbar, AV receiver).

NOTE: Do not look into the optical output port. Looking at the laser beam may damage your vision.

Registering the Magic Remote:

To use the Magic Remote, you must first pair it with your TV. To register, press the Wheel (OK) button on the remote control while pointing it at the TV.

Re-registering the Magic Remote:

If registration fails or you need to re-register, press and hold the BACK and HOME buttons together for 5 seconds to reset the remote. Then, attempt to register it again by pressing the Wheel (OK) button.

Using the Pointer:

• Aim the remote at the TV and move it left, right, up, or down to move the on-screen pointer.

• If the pointer disappears, move the remote control slightly to the left or right, and it will reappear.

• If you press a navigation button (up, down, left, right) while the pointer is on screen, the pointer will disappear, and the remote will function like a standard remote. To display the pointer again, shake the remote from side to side.

Button Functions:

• (POWER): Turns the TV on or off.

• BACK: Returns to the previous level.

• HOME: Accesses the Home menu.

• Wheel (OK): Selects menus or options and confirms input. Scrolls through saved channels.

• Navigation buttons (up/down/left/right): Scrolls through menus or options.

• + VOL -: Adjusts the volume level.

• ^ CH v: Scrolls through the saved channels.

• (MUTE): Mutes all sounds.

• 3D: Used for viewing 3D video.

• MY APPS: Shows the list of Apps.

• Q.MENU: Accesses the quick menu.

When you turn the TV on for the first time, the Initial setting screen appears. Follow these steps to customize the basic settings:

1. Connect the power cord to a power outlet.

2. In Standby mode, press the power button on the remote control to turn the TV on.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to customize your TV settings according to your preferences:

• Language Selection: Select a language to display.

• Using the Magic remote control: Sets up the Magic remote.

• Environment Selection: Select ‘Home’ for the home environment. ‘Store’ mode puts the TV in demo mode.

• Time Zone Setting: Selects the time zone and daylight saving.

• Network Connection: Sets your network to enable network-related features.

• Auto Tuning: Scans and saves available channels automatically.

• Auto Energy Saving mode Setting: Selects Auto Energy Saving mode.

• 3D-On-Start Setting: Selects the 3D-On-Start option.

• Setting is completed: Confirms the setting options.

4. When the basic settings are complete, press the Wheel (OK) button.

The User Guide allows you to more easily access detailed TV information.

1. Press the HOME button on the remote control to access the HOME menu.

2. Select ‘User Guide’ from the menu and press the Wheel (OK) button.

Once in the User Guide:

• A description of the selected menu is shown. You can use the up/down navigation buttons to move between pages.

• You can select “Try Now” to move directly to the selected menu from the User Guide.

• You can zoom in or out of the screen for better readability.

Clean your TV regularly to keep it in the best condition and extend its lifespan.

CAUTION: Make sure to turn the power off and disconnect the power cord and all other cables first.

Screen, frame, cabinet and stand:

• To remove dust or light dirt, wipe the surface with a dry, clean, and soft cloth.

• To remove major dirt, wipe the surface with a soft cloth dampened in clean water or a diluted mild detergent. Then wipe immediately with a dry cloth.

• Do not push, rub, or hit the surface with your fingernail or a sharp object, as this may result in scratches and image distortions.

• Do not use any chemicals such as waxes, benzene, alcohol, thinners, insecticides, air fresheners, or lubricants, as these may damage the screen’s finish and cause discoloration.

• Do not spray liquid directly onto the surface. If water enters the TV, it may result in fire, electric shock, or malfunction.

Power cord:

Remove the accumulated dust or dirt on the power cord regularly.

The TV can automatically switch to 3D mode for certain input signals. If it does not switch automatically, you may need to manually convert the settings. The method for 3D digital broadcast may differ depending on the signal environment.
