To ensure safe operation of your LG 28LY560M TV, please follow these instructions:

Installation & Environment:

• Do not use this apparatus near water and clean only with a dry cloth.

• Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

• Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus that produce heat.

• When mounting the TV on a wall, make sure not to install the TV by hanging power and signal cables on the back of the TV.

• Install the TV where there is proper ventilation. Do not install in a confined space such as a bookcase. Do not cover the TV with cloth or other materials while it is plugged in. Do not install in excessively dusty places.

• An outdoor antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric circuits.

Power & Connections:

• Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician.

• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched. Pay particular attention to plugs, wall outlets, and the point where the cord exits the appliance.

• It is recommended that the TV be placed on a dedicated circuit, which is a single outlet circuit that powers only the TV and has no additional outlets or branch circuits.

• Do not connect too many appliances to the same AC power outlet as this could result in fire or electric shock. Do not overload wall outlets.

• Ensure that you connect the earth ground wire to prevent possible electric shock. A TV with a three-prong grounded AC plug must be connected to a three-prong grounded AC outlet.

Operation & Handling:

• Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

• Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer or sold with the apparatus. Use caution when moving a cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

• Never touch this apparatus or antenna during a thunder or lightning storm.

• Do not allow an impact shock or any objects to fall into the product, and do not drop objects onto the screen.

• To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not expose this product to rain, moisture or other liquids. Do not touch the TV with wet hands.

• Do not press against the front panel of the TV with your hand or a sharp object (e.g., a nail, pencil, or pen) or make a scratch on it.

Servicing & Maintenance:

• Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way.

• When cleaning, unplug the power cord and wipe gently with a soft cloth to prevent scratching. Do not spray water or other liquids directly on the TV.

To determine the operating mode of the LG 28LY560M TV, press the MENU button on the Installer Remote. The menu that appears on the screen will indicate the current mode:

• Function Menu Appears: If a menu like “ASPECT RATIO” appears (the Function Menu), the TV is in a mode such as FTG or PPV that does not allow the end user to change the fundamental TV setup. In this mode, Installer Menu settings are read-only.

• TV Setup Menus Appear: If a grid of icons for CHANNEL, PICTURE, AUDIO, TIME, etc. appears (the TV Setup Menus), the TV is in Pass-through Mode. This mode allows for changes to the TV’s settings.

To access and navigate the Pro:Centric interactive menus on your LG 28LY560M TV, press the PORTAL button on the Pro:Centric pillow speaker. The interactive menu options may vary depending on the features enabled for your site. Default interactive menus include:

• Channel Guide: Shows available TV networks and logical channels. If available, EPG data provides additional channel and program information.

• Information: Typically displays information on hospital and nearby amenities (restaurants, facilities, etc.) and local weather.

• Help: Provides help for navigating the interactive menus.

• Watch TV: Removes the interactive menu from the screen and returns you to the previously tuned TV channel.

You can configure the Pro:Centric server settings on your LG 28LY560M TV using one of the following methods:

• Express Script Installer Menu Wizard: If the TV is in a factory default state, this wizard provides an option for configuring the Pro:Centric server settings.

• Pass-through Mode Configuration: If the TV is in Pass-through Mode, you have two options:

1. Set Installer Menu items 098 PRO:CENTRIC and 119 DATA CHANNEL to the appropriate values in the Installer Menu.

2. Configure the settings in the IP Environment / Pro:Centric Menu. This option is necessary if you need to configure IP settings for the server.

• FTG Mode Configuration: If the TV is in FTG Mode, use the FTG File Manager PC software to update the Pro:Centric and Data Channel Installer Menu items. Then, transfer the updated FTG Installer Menu settings to the TV.

Note: You can leave Installer Menu item 119 DATA CHANNEL set to its default value (255) to enable the TV’s Data Channel Auto Search feature. Additionally, if using a Pro:Centric pillow speaker, you must also set Installer Menu item 027 HOSPITAL MODE to the required value.

The Express Script Installer Menu Wizard guides you through setting up essential items for your LG 28LY560M TV. It appears each time the TV is turned on until the configuration is completed or exited.

Step 1: Initiate or Exit the Wizard

On the “Installer Menu Wizard” screen, you have two options:

• To proceed, use the arrow keys to highlight Express Script and press OK.

• To exit without configuring, highlight Exit and press OK. Confirm by selecting OK in the pop-up window.

Step 2: Configure Pro:Centric Settings

1. Media Type: Select either RF or IP. If you select IP, the Data Channel field is replaced with IP Address and Port fields.

2. Data Channel / IP Settings: Enter the RF channel number (1-135) for the Pro:Centric server or the server’s IPv4 multicast address and port number.

3. Pro:Centric Mode: Select the appropriate application mode (GEM, FLASH, or Configuration Only).

4. Once complete, select Next to continue with TV configuration or Done to save and exit the wizard.

Step 3: Complete TV Configuration

1. Tuning Band: Select the appropriate tuning band (Cable Standard, Cable HRC, Cable IRC, or Air) and press Next.

2. Aux Inputs: Choose to Customize Inputs to enable/disable specific inputs, or select Use Default Values (all enabled). Press Next.

3. Speaker Configuration: Select the speaker type (Pillow Only, TV Only, or Pillow & TV) and press Next.

4. Pillow Speaker Code: Select the appropriate brand code and press Next.

5. Channel Access: Choose “Yes” to allow direct access to channels outside the lineup or “No” to restrict access. It is recommended to select “No”. Press Next.

6. Auto Search (Auto Tuning): Select Execute Auto Search and press OK to scan for available channels. This is a required step to populate the channel map. When the scan is complete, press OK.

7. Edit the Channel Map: Select Edit Channel Map and press OK. In the pop-up window, you can add/delete channels, assign icons, add custom text labels, and set up channel banks. The maximum number of channels (analog, digital, Aux) is 141. Press MENU to close the pop-up, then select Next.

8. Completion: The TV saves your settings and transfers the setup to the commercial controller (PTC). When this step is complete, the wizard closes.

The Ez Download utility allows you to download multiple files (TLX, TLL, software updates, splash screens) from a USB memory device to your LG 28LY560M TV.

Before You Begin:

• Ensure the USB device is formatted with FAT.

• Store software update and splash image files in a folder named “LG_DTV” in the root directory.

• Store TLX and TLL files in the root directory of the USB device.

Procedure:

1. Turn ON the TV. If the Express Script wizard appears, exit it.

2. Insert the USB memory device into the TV’s USB port.

3. Access the TV Manager menu: Press MENU on the Installer Remote. Navigate to the Option menu icon (or Lock menu icon if not in Pass-through Mode). Press the number “7” key seven times.

4. In the TV Manager menu, use the arrow keys to select Ez Download and press OK.

5. The Ez Download window will list all compatible files from the USB device. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to highlight a filename and press OK to check or uncheck it for download. You can only select one of each file type.

6. For each highlighted file, select the appropriate options on the right side of the screen:

• Software/Splash files: The TV’s current software version is displayed. Avoid using “Forced Update” options unless specifically instructed.

• TLX files: If the file includes an FTG Channel Map, you can select the channel tuning/banner display format. Press the green button for Logical tuning (default) or the yellow button for Physical tuning.

7. When you are ready, use the arrow keys to select Apply and press OK.

8. A progress window will appear. Do NOT remove the USB device until the download is complete. The TV will display a “Complete” message and then either return to TV viewing or reboot (if software was downloaded).

9. Remove the USB device and verify that the configuration is correct.

The Installer Menu allows you to set up, change, or view operational settings for your LG 28LY560M TV.

Accessing the Installer Menu:

1. Turn ON the TV. If the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard appears, exit the wizard first.

2. Using an Installer Remote, press MENU repeatedly until the on-screen display stops toggling.

3. Press the Installer Menu entry sequence followed by OK. The default sequence is 9-8-7-6. If this has been changed via Installer Menu item 000, you will need to use the new sequence.

Note: If the TV is not in Pass-through Mode, the Installer Menu is accessible as read-only.

Using the Installer Menu:

• Navigation: Use the Up/Down arrow keys on the Installer Remote to sequence through the menu items. To access an item directly, key in the item number (e.g., 0-1-5 for Sleep Timer) and then press MENU.

• Changing Settings: To change an item’s value, use the Left/Right arrow keys or enter a valid value directly. To save the new setting, press OK or navigate to another item.

• Exiting and Activating Settings: After adjusting all settings, press OK once to save your changes, and then press OK again to exit the Installer Menu. Changes are stored in non-volatile memory.

This procedure is for creating a Master TV Setup in Pass-through Mode for cloning purposes.

Step 1: Turn ON the TV and Set Installer Menu Items

1. Turn ON the TV. If the Express Script wizard appears, exit it.

2. Access the PTC Installer Menu using the Installer Remote (default: 9-8-7-6 + OK).

3. If the TV is not in a factory default state, set Installer Menu item 117 FACT DEFAULT to 1 and press OK. This clears all custom settings and restores factory defaults.

4. Set Installer Menu item 003 BAND/AFC as appropriate for your system (e.g., 1 for CATV).

5. Set Installer Menu item 027 HOSPITAL MODE to select the correct speaker configuration.

6. Configure any other necessary Installer Menu items (e.g., enable/disable Aux inputs, set Start Channel).

7. Press OK to save your changes, then press OK again to exit the menu.

Step 2: Set Up TV Features

Press MENU on the Installer Remote to access the TV setup menus. Set Channel, Picture, Audio, and other options to your desired configurations for the end user.

Step 3: Run Auto Tuning (PTC cloning only / Optional)

If cloning the channel lineup to the PTC (using a TLL file), you must perform this step.

1. In the Channel Menu, select Auto Tuning and follow the on-screen instructions.

2. Use Channel Edit to add or delete channels as needed.

3. Use Channel Label to add icons for familiar networks.

Step 4: Transfer Setup to PTC (PTC cloning only)

This step is essential for successful cloning using a TLL file.

1. Tune to the specific channel (source) for which you want to transfer the TV setup menu settings.

2. Access the Installer Menu, then press 2-5-5 + MENU on the Installer Remote. The TV will transfer the setup to the PTC.

Step 5: Add Custom Labels (PTC cloning only / Optional)

Access the Installer Menu and press 2-5-4 + MENU to add or edit custom text labels and icons for the channels in the PTC Channel Map.

Step 6: Verify, Set Banks, and Lock Lineup

1. Verify that all TV features, channel lineups, and labels are correct.

2. Set up channel banks as desired.

3. (Recommended) Lock the channel lineup: Access the Installer Menu and set item 028 CH. OVERIDE to 0, then press OK twice to save and exit. This prevents end users from changing channel settings.

The Master TV Setup is now ready to be saved to a USB memory device for cloning.

You can change channel icons and add custom text labels only after channels have been transferred to the TV’s PTC (e.g., after a Custom Master TV Setup or TLL file cloning). To do this, you use the 2-5-4 + MENU Mode.

To perform channel editing/labeling:

1. Access the TV Installer Menu (default: 9-8-7-6 + OK).

2. Press 2-5-4 + MENU on the Installer Remote to open the Channel Label Editing Menu.

3. Follow the specific procedures below to change icons or labels.

4. When finished, press MENU to exit.

Changing a Channel’s Icon:

1. Use Channel Up/Down to select the desired channel.

2. Use the Left/Right arrow keys to select the thin letter “I” on the Channel-Time display.

3. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the desired icon. If you know the icon number, you can enter it directly and press OK.

4. Proceed to the next channel or edit labels.

Adding/Editing Channel Labels:

1. Use Channel Up/Down to select the desired channel.

2. Press the Left/Right arrow key until the numbers 1 to 7 appear. This number indicates the character position you are editing.

3. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the desired character for that position.

4. Move to the next character position or the next channel.

Adding/Editing Source Labels (for Aux inputs):

1. Press CH. BANK to select the desired Aux input source (AV1, RGB, HDMI1, or HDMI2).

2. Press the Left/Right arrow key until numbers appear, indicating the character position.

3. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the desired character.

4. Press CH. BANK for the next Aux input, or use Channel Up/Down to return to regular channels.

Channel Banks allow you to create tiered channel programming. This feature is not supported on TVs configured for FTG Mode operation.

Before You Begin:

• The TV must have a channel lineup loaded into the PTC (e.g., by running the Express Script wizard or a Custom Master TV Setup).

• Installer Menu item 028 CH. OVERIDE must be set to 1 to allow access to channel banks setup.

Accessing the Channel Preview/Banks Setup Menu:

1. Press CH. BANK on the Installer Remote repeatedly until the desired channel bank (1, 2, 3, or 4) is selected and displayed on the screen.

2. With the desired channel bank selected, press CH. PREVIEW on the Installer Remote to display the setup menu for that bank.

Changing Channel Status:

In the Channel Preview/Banks Setup Menu, use the Channel Up/Down arrows to navigate to a specific channel. Then, use the Left/Right arrows to select one of the following statuses for that channel within the currently selected bank:

• NORMAL-ADDED: The channel will appear in the channel lineup of the currently selected bank.

• NORMAL-DELETED: The channel will NOT appear in the channel lineup of the currently selected bank.

• BLANK-ADDED: The channel will appear in all channel banks with audio but a black screen (no video).

• BLANK-DELETED: The channel will not appear in the currently selected bank, but will be BLANK-ADDED in all other banks.

Creating an Inactive TV Display:

To make the TV display an “Inactive TV Call Attendant” message on power-on, you can set up Channel Bank 4 as inactive using one of two methods:

• Manually select NORMAL-DELETED for every channel in Channel Bank 4.

• Press CH. BANK until Channel Bank 4 is selected, press CH. PREVIEW to enter the menu, and then press the SAP key on the Installer Remote to automatically delete all channels in that bank.

Cloning involves capturing a Master TV’s setup (“Learning”) and transferring it to a Target TV (“Teaching”). There are two file types for this: TLX and TLL.

Cloning with a TLX File (Clones all TV sources and settings):

Learn Setup from Master TV:

1. Ensure the Master TV is fully set up and in Pass-through Mode.

2. Insert a FAT-formatted USB device into the Master TV.

3. Access the TV Manager / USB Download Menu (press MENU, go to Option, press “7” seven times).

4. In the TV Manager menu, key in 9-8-7-6 to reveal the “Learn From TV” options.

5. Select Learn From TV (TLX) and press OK.

6. (Optional) Change the last five digits of the filename to differentiate it. Press OK to start Learning. Do not remove the USB until complete.

7. When done, exit the menu and remove the USB device.

Teach Setup to Target TV:

1. Turn ON the Target TV. Ensure it is in a factory default state. If not, access its Installer Menu and set item 117 FACT DEFAULT to 1.

2. Insert the USB device with the TLX file into the Target TV.

3. Access the TV Manager / USB Download Menu on the Target TV.

4. Select Teach To TV (TLX) and press OK.

5. Select the Master TV Setup file you want to install and press OK to begin Teaching. Do not remove the USB until complete.

6. Remove the USB and verify the setup is now on the Target TV.

Cloning with a TLL File (Clones PTC memory only – channel lineup, installer settings, one source’s settings):

The process is identical to the TLX method, but you select Learn From TV (TLL) and Teach To TV (TLL) in the respective steps.

Configuring FTG Mode involves creating an FTG Configuration (.tlx) file using the FTG File Manager PC software and then transferring (“Teaching”) it to the TV.

Creating an FTG Configuration (.tlx) File:

1. Launch the FTG File Manager software on your PC.

2. Create a new FTG Channel Map using the FTG Channel Map Editor. You can define up to 600 channels.

3. Add the new FTG Channel Map to the FTG Configuration List on the main screen.

4. (Optional) Load the default FTG Installer Menu settings for the LY560M chassis and modify them as needed using the FTG Installer Menu Configuration Utility.

5. Add the Installer Menu settings to the FTG Configuration List.

6. Click the Save button to save the configuration as a .tlx file.

7. Transfer the saved .tlx file to a USB memory device.

Teaching the FTG Configuration to the TV:

1. Turn ON the Target TV. If the Express Script wizard appears, exit it.

2. Insert the USB device containing the .tlx file into the TV’s USB port.

3. Press MENU on the Installer Remote to display the setup menus (if in Pass-through Mode) or the Function Menu (if already in FTG Mode).

4. Navigate to the Option menu icon (or Lock icon) and press the number “7” key seven times to open the TV Manager / USB Download Menu.

5. Select Teach To TV (TLX) and press OK.

6. In the Teach To TV (TLX) window, select the FTG Configuration file you want to install.

7. On the right side of the window, select your desired Channel Tuning / Channel Banner Display option. Press the green button for Logical tuning (default) or the yellow button for Physical tuning.

8. Press OK to begin the Teaching process. Do not remove the USB device until the process is complete.

9. Remove the USB device. The TV is now in FTG Mode and will be configured with the new settings.

You can set up the TV’s wired network connection through the IP Environment Menu.

Accessing the IP Environment Menu:

1. Access the Installer Menu (default: 9-8-7-6 + OK).

2. Navigate to Installer Menu item 119 DATA CHANNEL and press 2-5-3 + MENU to launch the IP Environment Menu.

Configuring the Network Connection:

1. In the IP Environment Menu, select Network Connection and press OK.

2. If not already done, connect a LAN cable to the back of the TV.

3. Select Start Connection and press OK.

4. The TV will attempt to connect using DHCP by default. If successful, a “Wired network is connected” message will appear. You can then select Complete to return to the IP Environment Menu.

5. If you do not have a DHCP server or need to set a static IP, select Set Expert and press OK.

6. In the next window, you can manually configure the IP Mode, IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS Mode, and DNS Server. Use the arrow keys to navigate and enter the required information.

7. After entering the static information, select OK. The TV will confirm the connection, and you can then select Complete to finish.

Checking Network Status:

From the IP Environment Menu, select Network Status to view the current connection status and IP configuration details (MAC Address, IP Address, etc.).

You can upgrade TV (CPU) or PTC software and download a custom splash screen image using a USB memory device.

Before You Begin:

• Ensure the USB device is formatted with FAT.

• Place the software upgrade file(s) or the splash screen image file in a folder named “LG_DTV” in the root directory of the USB device.

• For splash screens, the image must be a baseline (not progressive) JPEG, no larger than 1 MB. The maximum resolution is 1360 x 768 pixels (HD).

Procedure:

1. Turn ON the TV and insert the USB device into the TV’s USB port.

2. Press MENU on the Installer Remote. Navigate to the Option menu icon (or Lock menu icon) and press the number “7” key seven times to open the TV Manager / USB Download Menu.

3. In the TV Manager menu, use the Up/Down arrow keys to select one of the following options and press OK:

• Upgrade TV Software

• Upgrade PTC Software

• Logo Image Download (for splash screen)

4. In the next window, a list of available files will be displayed. Use the Up/Down arrow keys to select the file you want to download.

5. Press OK to start the download/update process.

6. A progress bar will appear. Do NOT remove the USB device or turn off the TV until the process is complete. The TV will display an “Updating complete” message and then automatically restart.

Rear Panel:

• UPDATE: Restricted to software updates.

• RESET: Initiates a hardware reset and turns the TV OFF.

• SERVICE ONLY: Restricted to service updates.

• HDMI IN 1: Connection for HDMI output from an external device.

• MPI: When the TV is in Pass-through Mode, this port enables control from an external MPI device (e.g., VOD/PPV STB).

• LAN: Use for network connection (e.g., for Pro:Centric data).

• OPTICAL AUDIO OUT: Use for amps and home theater systems. (Note: This port is not enabled when the TV is OFF).

• RGB IN (PC): Connection for RGB output from a PC.

• SPEAKER OUT / LINE OUT (3.5 mm jack): Connects external audio equipment (fixed speaker, variable speaker, or fixed line level amplifier).

• PILLOW SPEAKER: Connect a pillow speaker here.

• ANTENNA/CABLE IN: Connect to Antenna/CATV.

Side Jack Panel:

• USB IN: Insert a USB memory device for software updates, cloning, FTG Mode configuration, or picture/music entertainment.

• HDMI IN 2 (MHL): Connection for HDMI output from an external device.

• AV IN/AUDIO IN (RGB DVI) (3.5 mm jack): Connect video/audio output from an external device (using the provided A/V adapter cable), or connect audio for an RGB or DVI device.

There are several ways to restore factory defaults, depending on the TV’s current mode.

If the TV is in Pass-through Mode:

• Use Installer Menu item 117 FACT DEFAULT. Access the Installer Menu, navigate to item 117, set the value to 1, and press OK. This restores the Installer Menu factory defaults and clears the channel lineup, including any assigned channel icons and custom text labels.

If the TV is in FTG Mode:

Restoring factory defaults in FTG Mode also resets the TV to Pass-through Mode.

• Factory “IN-STOP”: This process uses a predefined value for Installer Menu item 117 FACT DEFAULT to restore the TV to Pass-through Mode and restore all factory defaults. It also reactivates the Express Script Installer Menu Wizard. You must contact technical support for the required value and instructions.

• Using a “Zero Mapped Channels” File (Single TV):

1. Create a “Zero Mapped Channels” FTG Configuration (.tlx) file using the FTG File Manager. This is an FTG file with no channel data.

2. Using a USB memory device, “Teach” this file to the TV. This will restore the TV to Pass-through Mode.

• Using a “Zero Mapped Channels” File (Multiple TVs via Pro:Centric Server):

1. Create a “Zero Mapped Channels” FTG Configuration (.tlx) file.

2. Use the Pro:Centric server Admin Client to load this file onto the server, which will then push the configuration to the connected TVs, restoring them to Pass-through Mode.

The TV Zoning feature allows you to create localized configurations for TVs in different “Zones” (e.g., lobby, fitness center). This is primarily used with FTG Mode but can also be used with TLX cloning. To use this feature, you must set a Zone number on the TV itself.

Set the TV Zone # in the TV (Pass-through Mode Only):

1. Turn ON the TV.

2. Press MENU on the Installer Remote, use the arrow keys to highlight the OPTION menu icon, and press OK.

3. Use the Up/Down arrows to select Zone, and then press OK.

4. In the pop-up window, use the Left/Right arrow keys to select the desired TV Zone number (1-8). Zone 0 is the default.

5. Press OK to confirm.

6. Press MENU to return to TV viewing.

Once the TV is assigned to a Zone, it will only accept configurations (from an FTG .tlx file or a cloning .tlx file) that are also assigned to that same Zone number. If an FTG configuration includes a channel map with Zone-restricted channels, the TV will omit any channels that are restricted from its assigned Zone.

If you cannot direct enter a channel number, the cause depends on the TV’s operating mode:

• If the TV is in Pass-through Mode: The channel lineup is likely locked. This can be because Installer Menu item 028 CH. OVERIDE is set to 0, or because “Channel Access” was denied during the Express Script setup. To fix this, access the Installer Menu and set item 028 CH. OVERIDE to 1 to allow direct keypad entry to all channels.

• If the TV is in FTG Mode: The channel number you are trying to enter is not included in the FTG Channel Map. Channel access is restricted to only those channels defined in the map. If necessary, you must use the FTG File Manager PC software to make changes to the FTG Channel Map and then re-load it onto the TV.

This typically happens because the Auto Tuning (Channel Search) process was not run. Auto Tuning must be run to populate the channel lineup. If you used the Express Script wizard, you must select “Execute Auto Search” in the Auto Search screen to run the scan. If the wizard has already been completed or exited, you may need to perform an “IN-STOP” to restore factory defaults on the TV to reactivate the Express Script.

If there is no picture, check the following:

• Power: Ensure the TV is turned ON. Check if there is a power failure.

• Connections: Make sure the antenna/cable signal is securely connected to the TV. Check all other connections.

• Encrypted Program: The channel may be encrypted. Try another channel.

If you have a picture but sound issues, try these solutions:

• Mute: Press the MUTE button or use the Volume Up key to increase the sound level.

• Broadcast Issue: The problem might be with the broadcast itself. Try a different channel.

• Speaker Configuration: The pillow or TV speakers may not be configured properly. Check that Installer Menu items 020 FEATURE LEVEL and 027 HOSPITAL MODE are set as required. If applicable, ensure the correct TV Speaker option is selected in the Audio Menu.

If your Installer Remote doesn’t work, check these possible causes and solutions:

• Aim: Point the remote directly at the TV’s IR receiver.

• Distance/Light: Move closer to the TV or dim the room light, as too much light can interfere with the signal.

• Obstructions: Remove any objects blocking the path between the remote and the TV’s IR receiver.

• Batteries: The batteries may be weak; replace them. Ensure the “+” and “-” terminals match the diagram in the battery compartment.

• IR Code Mismatch: The IR codes sent by the remote must match the settings in the TV. Make sure the remote is compatible and that the settings in both the TV (e.g., Feature Level) and the remote are correct.

This occurs when channel access has been restricted. This could be because “Channel Access” was denied during the Express Script setup or because Installer Menu item 028 CH. OVERIDE is set to 0. To resolve this, access the Installer Menu and set CH. OVERIDE to 1 to allow access for channel status changes.
