READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.

■ Know your blower. Read the Operator’s Manual carefully. Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this blower.

■ Do not leave the blower unattended when turned on.

■ Do not allow the blower to be used as a toy.

■ Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.

■ If the blower is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, do not try to operate and take it to a service center.

■ Do not handle the battery or blower with wet hands.

■ Do not put any object into openings. Do not use if any of the openings are blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.

■ Keep hair, loose clothing, jewelry, fingers, and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.

■ Turn off all controls before removing battery.

■ Use extra care when cleaning whilst going up or down steps or walking on uneven surfaces.

■ Do not use the blower to blow flammable or combustible liquids, such as gasoline, or use in areas where they may be present.

■ Do not use the blower for any job except that for which it is intended.

■ Do not force the blower. It will do the job better and with less likelihood of a risk of injury at the rate for which it was designed.

■ Keep children away. All persons apart from the operator should be kept at a distance from work area.

■ Stay alert and pay close attention to the task when you are operating the blower. Do not operate blower when you are tired.

■ Avoid using the blower in a dangerous environment. Do not use the tool in damp or wet locations. Do not use in rain.

■ Do not overreach; keep proper footing and balance at all times.

■ Maintain the blower with care. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.

■ Check for damaged parts. Before further use of the blower and its accessories, damaged parts, should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.

■ When not in use, blowers should be stored indoors in a dry, and high or locked-up place, out of reach of children.

■ Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the ‘Off’ position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the blower.

■ Disconnect the battery pack from the blower before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing blower.

■ Keep your work area well lit. Cluttered or dark work areas invite accidents.

■ Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions.

■ Do not use on a ladder, rooftop, tree, or other where balance may not be stable.

■ Do not use blower if switch does not turn it on or off. A blower that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

■ For residential use only.

■ Remove or disconnect the battery pack before servicing, cleaning or removing material from the tool.

■ Keep the blower and its handle dry, clean, and free from oil and grease. Always use a clean cloth when cleaning.

■ Do not operate the equipment while barefoot or when wearing sandals or similar lightweight footwear.

■ Check the work area before each use. Remove all objects such as rocks, broken glass, nails, wire, or string which can be thrown or become entangled in the machine.

■ Do not point the blower in the direction of people or pets.

■ Never run the unit without the proper equipment attached. Always ensure the blower tubes are installed.

■ Do not store outside or in vehicles.

■ Do not incinerate this blower even if it is severely damaged. The battery can explode in a fire.

■ When servicing a blower, use only identical replacement parts mentioned in the Operators’ Manual.

■ This cordless battery-powered blower is always in operating condition when the battery is installed. Beware of possible hazards when handling your blower whilst it is switched off or when changing accessories.

■ Never use a blower near fire or hot ashes.

■ Never use the blower to spread chemicals, fertilizers, or any other toxic substances.

■ Never place the blower on any surface, except a hard, clean surface when the motor is running.

■ The battery pack is only compatible with LawnMaster® 40LFC17-ETL chargers.

■ Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer and listed in this manual.

■ Do not charge battery in a damp or wet location.

■ Do not place battery powered blowers or their batteries near fire or heat.

■ Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.

■ Do not dispose of battery packs in fire. They will explode or leak and cause injury.

■ Do not crush, drop or damage the battery pack. Do not use a battery pack or charger that has been dropped or received a sharp blow.

■ Batteries can explode in the presence of a source of ignition, such as a pilot light.

■ Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If liquid gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 10 minutes, then seek immediate medical attention.

■ When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects, that can make a connection from one terminal to another.

■ Do not expose a battery pack or blower to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F (130°C) may cause an explosion.

■ Do not modify or attempt to repair the blower or the battery pack (as applicable) except as indicated in the instructions for use and care.

■ Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or blower outside of the temperature range specified in the instructions.

■ This charger is only compatible with LawnMaster® 40LB2032-C and 40LB4023-C lithium-ion batteries.

■ To reduce the risk of injury, charge only the specified lithium-ion rechargeable batteries.

■ Keep cord and charger away from heat to prevent damage to housing or internal parts.

■ Do not operate charger with a damaged cord or plug, which could cause shorting and electric shock. If damaged, immediately discontinue use. Replace the charger with the identical unit as listed in the Parts List of this manual.

■ Do not use a charger that has been dropped or received a sharp blow.

■ Do not disassemble charger. Take it to a qualified service center for check or replacement.

■ Do not abuse the charger cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging.

■ Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.

■ Charge the battery at the normal charging temperature between 40°F (4°C) and 100°F (38°C).

1. Align the widest end of the blower tube with the front opening on the blower.

2. Slide the blower tube over the opening until it snaps onto the latch and the blower tube is secure in place.

3. To remove the blower tube, press the back end of the latch to lift and pull the blower tube away.

To install the battery pack:

1. Make sure the battery is fully charged.

2. Align the slot of the battery pack with the battery rail on the rear of the main handle.

3. While holding the blower firmly, push the battery pack into the slot until it locks into place.

4. Do not use force when inserting the battery pack. It should slide into position and “click”.

To remove the battery pack:

1. Ensure the blower is switched off.

2. Press both the release buttons on the battery pack. Grasp the blower firmly, and pull the battery pack out of the handle.

NOTE: The battery pack fits into the bottom of handle snugly in order to prevent accidental dislodging. It may require a strong pull to remove it.

1. Use only with 40V LawnMaster® battery chargers. The battery charger supplied is specifically designed for the lithium-ion battery used in this tool.

2. Check the power voltage! Battery chargers operate on 120V.

3. The battery is charged between 40°F (4°C) and 100°F (38°C). This ensures an optimum battery service life.

4. Protect the battery from heat, from continuous exposure to sun, and keep away from radiation or other heat sources. Do not leave the battery in the tool in direct sunlight over long periods.

5. The battery is supplied partially charged. To ensure full capacity of the battery, charge the battery before using the tool for the first time.

CHARGING THE BATTERY PACK

1. Align the slot of the battery pack with the rail on the charger. Slide the battery onto the rail until the battery pack secures into place.

2. Connect the charger to the power supply.

3. Allow sufficient charging time (see Specifications), and then disconnect the charger from the power supply.

4. Press the release button on the battery pack and remove it from the charger.

NOTE: It is normal for the battery pack and the charger to become warm (but not hot) during charging process. If the battery does not charge properly, check to make sure the electrical outlet is operational. Always charge the battery before storage! To reduce risk of fire, never leave the battery connected with the charger for more than 24 hours!

LED CHARGER STATUS Details:

1. If the battery is not inserted into the charger, a continuous red LED light indicates that the outlet plug is plugged into an outlet socket and the battery charger is ready for operation.

2. Charging: a flashing green LED on the charger indicates that the battery is charging normally. The LED’s flashing frequency is 1Hz.

3. Charged: continuous green LED on the charger indicates that the battery is ready for use.

4. Technical Issue: a flashing red LED light on the charger indicates that battery pack has a charging problem or might be defective.
a) One possible condition is the battery temperature is lower than 0°C or the charging current is too high. As soon as the permitted temperature and the charging current ranges are reached, the battery charger will automatically switch to charging.
b) If the temperature range and charging current are correct and flashing red LED light continues, then remove and reinstall the battery pack. If the LED status repeats a second time, try to charge another identical battery. If the battery charges normally, dispose of the defective battery pack.
c) If the flashing red light continues after installing the second battery, the charger may be defective. Replace with a new one.

5. A flashing green LED light on the charger (the LED’s flashing frequency (2Hz) is faster than charging normally (1Hz)), which indicates the battery temperature is higher than 50°C. As soon as the permitted temperature is reached, the battery charger will automatically switch to charging.

6. After continuous or repeated charging cycles without interruption, the charger may warm up. This is normal and does not indicate a technical defect of the battery charger.

The panel consists of 4 LEDs on the battery. Press and hold the button, then release it, the LEDs will show you the charge levels. The battery’s charge level can be checked either when the battery is attached on the blower/charger or removed from the blower/charger.

1. Make sure the battery pack is installed properly.

2. To start the blower, press the On/Off Button. The blower starts and air flows from the nozzle. The blower always starts in speed Level 1 by pressing the On/Off Button.

3. To stop the blower, press the On/Off Button again.

NOTE: If temperature of blower is too high, or battery energy is too low, it will shut off automatically.

This blower has 4 air speed levels. Use the high speed button or low speed button to increase or lower the air speed.

The air speed indicator located above the speed adjustment buttons, will indicate the air speed level. When reaching the highest speed (4), the air speed indicator will show 4 green lights.

The turbo speed button can be used occasionally to increase airflow to remove tough debris.

Press and hold the turbo speed button to increase airflow. After 15 seconds, the airflow will return to its previous speed.

When operating the blower, the battery indicator on the control panel will illuminate to indicate the battery status.

1. Blow debris or grass clippings off driveways, sidewalks, patios, parks, parking lots, etc.

2. Gather grass clippings, straw, or leaves into piles. Remove debris from corners, around furniture or objects, and between bricks.

NOTE: Your LawnMaster® blower is designed to blow and clean hard surfaces, such as patios, driveways, decks, garages, and sidewalks.

To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the battery pack from the tool when cleaning or performing any maintenance.

1. Remove the battery pack.

2. Brush or blow dust and debris out of the air vents using compressed air or a vacuum. Keep the air vents free of obstructions, sawdust, and wood chips. Do not spray, wash, or immerse the air vents in water.

3. Wipe off the housing and the plastic components using a clean, dry cloth. Do not use strong solvents or detergents on the plastic housing or plastic components. Certain household cleaners may cause damage, and may cause a shock hazard.

4. Clean the blower of any debris and store indoors in a dry, well-ventilated area that is inaccessible to children.

1. Fully charge the battery before placing in storage.

2. Recharge the battery pack whenever there is a noticeable reduction in the performance. Do not allow the battery pack to become completely discharged.

3. Do not recharge a battery pack that is already fully charged. Overcharging shortens battery life.

4. Once the battery pack is fully charged, remove the battery from the charger and disconnect charger from the outlet.

5. Do not store the battery pack on the tool or on the charger.

6. If the battery pack is hot, allow it to cool down before recharging.

1. Keep the charger clean and clear of debris. Do not allow foreign material into the recessed cavity or on the contacts. Wipe with a dry cloth. Do not use solvents, water, or place in wet conditions.

2. Always unplug the charger when the battery pack is not installed on the charger.

3. Do not store the charger in excessive heat. Do not use in direct sunlight.

4. Disconnect the charger from the AC power outlet when not in use and once battery has reached a full charge.

The batteries used in this battery pack contain lithium-ion, a toxic material. All toxic materials must be disposed of in a specific manner to prevent contamination of the environment. Before disposing of damaged or worn-out lithium-ion battery packs, contact your local waste disposal agency, or the local Environment Protection Agency for information and specific instructions.

If the battery pack cracks or breaks, with or without leaks, do not recharge it and do not use. Dispose of it and replace with a new battery pack.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR IT!

To avoid injury and risk of fire, explosion, or electric shock, and to avoid damage to the environment:

■ Cover the battery terminals with heavy-duty adhesive tape.

■ DO NOT attempt to remove or destroy any of the battery pack components.

■ DO NOT attempt to open the battery pack.

■ If a leak develops, the released electrolytes are corrosive and toxic. DO NOT get the solution in the eyes or on skin, and do not swallow it.

■ DO NOT place damaged or defective batteries in your regular household trash.

■ DO NOT incinerate.

■ DO NOT place batteries where they will become part of any waste landfill or municipal solid waste stream.

■ Take batteries to a certified recycling or disposal center.

Only perform the steps described within these instructions! All further inspection, maintenance and repair work must be performed by an authorized service center or a similarly qualified specialist if you cannot solve the problem yourself!
