Please read the users and installation instructions carefully before installation of the appliance and before starting to use it.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised by an adult or a person who is responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

The room in which the range hood is used simultaneously with gas or other fuel-fired cookers or ovens must have adequate ventilation (this does not apply to recirculating models).

Never flambé under the range hood.

Accessible parts may become hot during operation, while cooking is in progress.

First, remove the protective foil only from the rear of the appliance and completely after the installation.

The electrical installation is to be set up so that the appliance can be isolated from the mains with a minimum 3mm all-pole contact separation. Suitable separation devices include e.g. cutouts, RCDs and contactors. This installation must comply with current regulations.

If the electrical connection is done through a plug and this remains accessible after installation, then it is not necessary to provide the mentioned separation device.

The air must not be discharged into a flue that is used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels (this does not apply to recirculating models).

The underside of the range hood must have a minimum height of 50 cm above an electric hob and 65 cm above gas hobs. If the installation instructions for a gas hob indicate a greater distance, this must be taken into account.

Inform yourself before installation of the range hood about the currently applicable local regulations regarding air and fume extraction.

When the range hood is operated simultaneously with fuel-burning stoves or ovens, the underpressure in the installation room of the stove must not be greater than 4 Pa (4×10-5 bar).

Before connecting the range hood to the mains, check that both the frequency and voltage conform to the specifications on the type plate.

To achieve optimal performance of the range hood, the length of the exhaust duct must not exceed four meters and should contain no more than two 90° angles (elbows).

Although extraction to the outside is recommended when cooking fumes are created, activated carbon filters can be installed to allow the purified gases to be returned to the kitchen via the exhaust pipe.

Non-compliance with the cleaning regulations can lead to fires.

Depending on the degree of use of the range hood, the filters must be cleaned at least once a month. Please note that fat deposits can occur on the range hood and in the filter during cooking, even when it is not in operation.

We recommend that you wear protective gloves and take great care when cleaning the interior of the range hood.

Do not use the range hood with a defective or cut supply cord, or if the device shows visible damage in the area of the controls.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, authorized representatives, or technicians qualified for this task, to avoid hazardous situations.

If the LED malfunctions, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the seller, or a qualified service company to avoid hazards.

If the range hood no longer works or does not work properly, disconnect it from the mains and contact the technical service.

For all repair work, please contact the nearest service center, which guarantees the use of original spare parts. Repairs or interventions by other persons can cause damage and malfunctions to the appliance and result in dangers to your safety.

The connection can be turned ON or OFF by pressing the Wi-Fi key for 3 seconds. The respective operating status is confirmed by the message ON or OFF and the connection status LED.

With the hood powered on, press the key for 5 seconds. An animation will appear on the display. Shortly after, the hood is ready to receive the necessary settings via the App.

1) Switch on the cooker hood with “-” and “+” and choose the required aspiration speed.

2) Push ‘Timer’.

3) This will allow the hood to work for 15 minutes and then it switches off.

4) The display will show the remaining programming time. The maximum speed ‘H’ can only be selected manually and will be changed automatically to the second speed level after 7 minutes.

After cleaning the filters, press the “Timer” and “Light” keys simultaneously for at least 3 seconds, then the indicator light will go out.

To activate/deactivate this function, simultaneously press the “-” and “+” keys.

This function is only available with the hood turned off.

The defect may be that the mains cable is not connected. Solution: Connect the mains cable.

The defect may be that the socket is not supplying power. Solution: Revise/repair the electricity circuit.

The defect may be that the filter is saturated with grease. Solution: Clean or substitute the filter.

The defect may be that the outlet is obstructed. Solution: Eliminate obstructions.

The defect may be that the air conduit is inadequate. Solution: Contact the installer and follow the instructions of this manual.

The defect may be that the lamp is broken. Solution: Contact Customer Service (ILCOS D Code: DSL-12-S-450).

During cooking, ensure that there is a sufficient supply of air to enable the extractor hood to work efficiently and with a low level of operating noise.

Adjust the fan speed to the amount of steam produced during cooking. Only use intensive mode when required. The lower the fan speed, the less energy is consumed.

If cooking produces large amounts of steam, select the higher fan speed in good time. If the cooking steam has already spread around the kitchen, the extractor hood will need to be operated for longer thus consuming more energy.

Switch off the extractor hood if you no longer require it.

Switch off the lighting if you no longer require it.

Clean and (if required) replace the filter at regular intervals to increase the effectiveness of the ventilation system and to prevent the risk of fire.

Put the lid on pans to reduce cooking steam and condensation.

The packaging bears the Green Point mark. Dispose of all the packaging materials such as cardboard, expanded polystyrene and plastic wrapping in the appropriate bins. In this way you can be sure that the packaging materials will be re-used.

1. Disconnect the mains power.

2. Remove the duct cover above the hood (images 5.1 and 5.2).

3. Disconnect the duct.

4. Supporting the equipment, remove the screws that fix it to the wall.

5. For waste disposal, proceed according to the appropriate environmental protection guidelines.

According to European Directive 2012/19/EU on the management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), home electrical appliances should not be put into the normal systems for disposal of solid urban waste. Outdated appliances should be collected separately to optimize component material recovery and re-cycling rates and to prevent potential harm to human health and the environment. The symbol of a rubbish container superimposed by a diagonal cross should be put on all such products to remind people of their obligation to have such items collected separately.

Consumers should contact their local authorities or point of sale and request information on the appropriate places to leave their old home electrical appliances.

Before disposing of your appliance, render it non-usable by pulling out the power cable, cutting this and disposing of it.

Error Type: Error in communications management system.

Possible Solution: Try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, try resetting the product by turning off the power for a few seconds and try again.

Error Type: Incorrect WiFi password entered.

Possible Solution: Restart the setup process by pressing the WiFi button for 5 seconds and complete the process through the APP. Make sure the password is correct and remember that it is case sensitive.

Error Type: Too many devices connected to your WiFi network.

Possible Solution: Disconnect some of the devices connected to your WiFi network. If the problem persists, reboot your router. If the problem persists, contact your Internet provider.

Error Type: WiFi network not detected.

Possible Solution: Check that the hood is within the range of your router. Try using your mobile phone from the oven location to confirm that the WiFi network signal reaches the hood.

Error Type: Error in the configuration process of your hood.

Possible Solution: Restart the setup process by pressing the Wi-Fi key for 5 seconds and completing the process using the Teka Home® APP.

Error Type: WiFi settings not found in hood.

Possible Solution: Use the Teka Home® APP to configure your hood.

Error Type: Error on registering the device.

Possible Solution: Try again after 30 minutes. If the problem persists, contact the Technical Service.

Error Type: Error in hardware communications.

Possible Solution: Try again after 30 minutes. If the problem persists, contact the Technical Service.

Error Type: Communication error.

Possible Solution: Check if another device within your Wi-Fi network is connected to the Internet. If the other device do not work, restart your router or contact your Internet provider. In case the other device works, try resetting the hod by unplugging it for a few seconds and then set it up again.

Error Type: Sudden disconnection from your WiFi network.

Possible Solution: Reboot the router. If the problem persists, contact your Internet provider.

By pressing the key shown in the figure 1, you will be able to control the functions of the extractor.

To achieve better extraction, we recommend switching on the extractor a few minutes before starting to cook (3 – 5 minutes) so that the air flow is continuous and stable when extracting the fumes.

Likewise, keep the extractor switched on for a few minutes when cooking is complete to allow all fumes and odours to be expelled.

To withdraw the filters from their locations, release the anchoring points. Clean the filter, either by putting it in the dishwasher (see notes) or leaving it standing in hot water to simplify the removal of grease or, if wished, by means of special sprays (protecting the non-metallic parts). Once clean, leave it to dry.

Remove the grease collector as shown in image 4 at the end of this manual. Clean it the same way as the filters.

To replace the filters, proceed in the reverse way to their removal. Make sure that the filter latch is securely attached to the housing to prevent untimely drops of the filters.

The use of warm (40°C approx.) soapy water is recommended. A cloth moistened in this water is used for cleaning the extractor, paying special attention to the grids. Afterwards, dry it using a lint-free cloth.

Note:

Never use metallic scouring pads or abrasive products that could damage the surface.

Do not use scrapers with metallic surfaces such as knives, scissors etc.

To install the activated carbon filter, follow the instructions supplied with it.
