To turn the power ON, press the [SRC] button. To turn the power OFF, press and hold the [SRC] button for at least 1 second.

Press the [SRC] button to cycle through the available sources. The display will show the following for each source:

To increase the volume, press the [∧] button. To decrease the volume, press the [∨] button.

The Attenuator function quickly turns the volume down. Press the [ATT] button to turn the Attenuator ON or OFF. When it’s ON, the “ATT” indicator will blink.

The Loudness feature compensates for low and high tones at low volume. To use it, press the [LOUD] button for at least 1 second. Each press of at least 1 second will turn Loudness ON or OFF. When it’s ON, the “LOUD” indicator is displayed.

System Q allows you to recall preset sound settings for different music types.

Step 1. Select the source you want to set by pressing the [SRC] button.

Step 2. Press the [Q] button repeatedly to switch between the sound settings.

Each setting value can be further modified with the Speaker Setting.

When the System Q setting is changed, the Bass, Middle, and Treble levels you set in Audio Control will be replaced by the System Q values.

Follow these steps to adjust the audio control settings:

Step 1. Select the desired source by pressing the [SRC] button.

Step 2. Enter Audio Control mode by pressing the [AUD] button for at least 1 second.

Step 3. Select the audio item to adjust by pressing the [FM] or [AM] button.

Step 4. Adjust the selected item by pressing the [◀◀] or [▶▶] button.

Step 5. Exit Audio Control mode by pressing the [AUD] button.

This feature fine-tunes the System Q value to be optimal for your speaker type.

Step 1. Enter Standby mode by pressing the [SRC] button until the “OFF” display appears.

Step 2. Enter Speaker Setting mode by pressing the [Q] button.

Step 3. Select the speaker type by pressing the [◀◀] or [▶▶] button.

Step 4. Exit Speaker Setting mode by pressing the [Q] button.

Press the [CLK] button. Each press toggles the clock display ON or OFF. When it’s ON, the clock indicator is displayed.

To set the clock:

Step 1. Display the clock by pressing the [CLK] button.

Step 2. Enter clock adjustment mode by pressing the [CLK] button for at least 2 seconds. The clock display will start blinking.

Step 3. Adjust the hours by pressing the [FM] or [AM] button.

Step 4. Adjust the minutes by pressing the [◀◀] or [▶▶] button.

Step 5. Exit clock adjustment mode by pressing the [CLK] button.

The DSI is a red indicator that blinks on the unit after the faceplate is removed, warning potential thieves. To set it:

Step 1. Turn the power OFF by pressing the [SRC] button for at least 1 second.

Step 2. While pressing and holding the [#1] and [#3] buttons, press the [SRC] button. This operation toggles the DSI ON or OFF.

Removing the Faceplate:

Press the Release button. The faceplate will unlock, allowing you to detach it.

Reattaching the Faceplate:

Step 1. Align the projections on the unit with the grooves on the faceplate.

Step 2. Push the faceplate in until it clicks and locks into place.

Press the [AUTO] button. Each press switches the tuning mode as shown below:

Step 1. Select the tuner source by pressing the [SRC] button until “TUnE” is displayed.

Step 2. Select the band by pressing the [FM] or [AM] button. Each press of the [FM] button switches between FM1, FM2, and FM3.

Step 3. Tune up or down the band by pressing the [◀◀] or [▶▶] button. When receiving a stereo station, the “ST” indicator will be ON.

Step 1. Select the band ([FM] or [AM]).

Step 2. Tune to the frequency you want to store.

Step 3. Press and hold one of the preset buttons ([#1] – [#6]) for at least 2 seconds. The preset number will blink once to confirm.

This feature automatically stores stations with good reception in the memory.

Step 1. Select the band ([FM] or [AM]) for Auto Memory Entry.

Step 2. Press and hold the [AME] button for at least 2 seconds. The unit will search for and store up to 6 stations. When finished, Auto Memory Entry closes.

Step 1. Select the desired band by pressing the [FM] or [AM] button.

Step 2. Press the corresponding preset button ([#1] – [#6]) to call up the stored station.

CRSC temporarily switches FM reception from stereo to mono to reduce multi-path noise. Press the [CRSC] button (labeled ‘FM’) for at least 1 second to turn it ON or OFF. When ON, the CRSC indicator is displayed.

When a CD is inserted, press the [SRC] button and select the “CD” display. The “IN” indicator will be ON when a CD is inserted. To eject the CD, press the [▲] button. Note that 3-inch (8cm) CDs cannot be played.

To play discs from an optional connected disc player (CD player, CD changer, MD changer), press the [SRC] button and select the “DISC” or “CD-2” display.

To fast forward, press and hold the [▶▶] button. Release it to resume playback. To reverse, press and hold the [◀◀] button. Release it to resume playback.

To skip to the next track or the beginning of the current track, press the [◀◀] or [▶▶] button.

To select the disc you want to hear, press the [DISC–] or [DISC+] button (labeled AM/FM). This is a function of the disc changer.

Press the [REP] button to cycle through the repeat play options.

Track Scan plays the first part of each song on the disc.

Step 1. Press the [SCAN] button to start. The “SCN” indicator will be ON.

Step 2. When you hear the song you want to listen to, press the [SCAN] button again to stop scanning and play the song.

To play all songs on a single disc in random order, press the [RDM] button. This toggles Random Play ON or OFF. When ON, the “RDM” indicator is displayed and the track number blinks.

This feature is called Magazine Random Play. Press the [M.RDM] button to turn this function ON or OFF.

The remote uses one lithium battery (CR2025).

Step 1. Slide the cover while pressing the release tab.

Step 2. Pull out the battery tray.

Step 3. Insert the new battery with the + and – poles aligned correctly, following the illustration inside the case.

[VOL.] buttons: Adjusts the volume.

[SRC] button: Switches the audio source.

[ATT] button: Turns the volume down quickly (attenuates). Press again to return to the previous volume level.

[FM] / [AM] buttons (Tuner mode): Selects the radio band.

[◀◀] / [▶▶] buttons (Tuner mode): Tunes up or down the band.

[◀◀] / [▶▶] buttons (Disc mode): Skips tracks forward or backward.

[DISC+] / [DISC–] buttons (Disc mode): Selects the next or previous disc in a changer.

[▶II] button (Disc mode): Pauses and resumes playback.

Step 1. To prevent a short circuit, remove the key from the ignition and disconnect the battery.

Step 2. Make the proper input and output wire connections for each unit.

Step 3. Connect the speaker wires of the wiring harness.

Step 4. Connect the wiring harness wires in the following order: ground, battery, ignition.

Step 5. Connect the wiring harness connector to the unit.

Step 6. Install the unit in your car.

Step 7. Reconnect the battery.

Step 8. Press the reset button.

Step 1. Refer to the section “Removing the hard rubber frame” and remove the frame.

Step 2. Remove the screw (M4 x 8) on the back panel.

Step 3. Insert the two removal tools deeply into the slots on each side.

Step 4. Lower the removal tools toward the bottom and pull the unit out halfway while pressing inwards.

Step 5. Pull the unit all the way out with your hands, being careful not to drop it.

Check if the fuse has blown. After checking for short circuits in the wires, replace the fuse with one of the same rating.

If your vehicle’s ignition has no ACC position, connect the ignition wire to the same wire as the battery wire.

The computer chip in the unit may not be functioning normally. Try pressing the reset button on the unit.

This is likely due to incorrect wiring.

The battery wire has not been connected to the proper terminal. Check the wiring diagram and connect it correctly.

The ignition and battery wires are incorrectly connected. Check the wiring diagram and connect them correctly.

Check the fader or balance settings. They may be set all the way to one side. Center the fader and balance settings.

The input/output wires or wiring harness may be connected incorrectly. Reconnect them correctly by referring to the “Connecting Wires to Terminals” section.

Check if one of the speaker wires is being pinched by a screw in the car.

Ensure the speakers are wired correctly. Reconnect the speaker wires so that each output terminal is connected to a different speaker.

The car antenna may not be extended. Pull the antenna out all the way.

The antenna control wire may not be connected. Connect the wire correctly, referring to the “Connecting Wires to Terminals” section.

The O-N switch on the disc changer is set to the “O” side. Set the switch to the “N” side.

An unsupported disc changer is connected. Connect a supported disc changer.

The specified CD may be dirty. Clean the CD.

The CD may be inserted upside-down. Load the CD with the labeled side up.

The disc is in a different slot in the changer from the one you specified. Eject the disc magazine and check the number for the specified disc.

The disc may be severely scratched. Try another disc instead.

The CD is upside-down. Load the CD with the labeled side up.

The CD is quite dirty. Clean the CD according to the instructions.

More than 10 minutes may have elapsed since the vehicle’s ACC switch was turned OFF. The disc can only be removed within 10 minutes of the ACC switch being turned OFF. If more than 10 minutes has passed, turn the ACC switch ON again and press the Eject button.

E-01: No disc magazine has been loaded in the changer, or the magazine is not completely loaded. Load the disc magazine properly.

E-02: No CD in the unit. Insert the CD.

E-04: No disc in the magazine, the CD is dirty, upside-down, or scratched. Check the disc and load it correctly.

E-10: Nothing has been recorded on the MD.

E-11: No tracks are recorded on the MD, although it has a title.

E-12: The faceplate of a connected slave unit has been removed. Replace it.

E-77: The unit is malfunctioning. Press the reset button on the unit. If the code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center.

E-99: The unit is malfunctioning. Press the reset button on the unit. If the code does not disappear, consult your nearest service center.

E-0d: The protective circuit in the disc changer has activated due to high temperature (over 60°C/140°F). Cool down the unit by opening windows or turning on the air conditioner. Playback will resume when the temperature falls.

LOAd: Discs are being exchanged in the Disc changer.

IN (Blink): The CD player section is not operating properly. Reinsert the CD. If the CD cannot be ejected or the display continues to flash, switch off the power and consult your nearest service center.

Do not touch the recording surface of the CD.

CD-R and CD-RW discs are more easily damaged than normal music CDs. Handle them with care.

Do not stick tape or labels on the CD.

If a new CD has burrs on the center hole or outer rim, remove them with a ballpoint pen before use.

To clean a CD, wipe from the center of the disc outward with a soft cloth.

When removing a CD from the unit, pull it out horizontally.

CDs that are not round cannot be used.

CDs with coloring on the recording surface or that are dirty cannot be used.

Do not use CDs without the official “COMPACT disc DIGITAL AUDIO” logo.

A CD-R or CD-RW that has not been finalized cannot be played.

Do not use disc-type accessories.

Do not attempt to load a 3-inch (8cm) CD, even with an adapter, as it can damage the unit.
