The KAMBROOK KFA839 tower fan includes the following components:

• LED screen: Displays temperature and settings.

• Control panel: Features POWER On/Off, Fan SPEED, MODE, TIMER, and OSC (oscillation) buttons.

• Tower fan body: The main housing of the fan.

• Remote control signal receiver: Receives signals from the remote.

• Oscillating platform: The base that allows the fan to turn.

• 2 piece base stand: Two parts, (a) and (b), that form the fan’s base.

• Remote control: A remote with soft touch buttons for all functions.

Other components include a remote control storage area (top and back of the unit), a carry handle at the rear, and 4 screws to secure the base to the unit.

When using your KAMBROOK KFA839, please observe the following safety precautions:

• Carefully read all instructions before operating the tower fan for the first time.

• Remove and safely discard any packaging material and promotional labels before first use.

• To eliminate a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the protective cover fitted to the power plug.

• The tower fan is intended for household use only, not for commercial or industrial use.

• Always ensure the tower fan is properly assembled with its base stand before use. The fan must not be used if the base is not fastened correctly.

• Place the fan on a level, clean, and stable surface, away from the edge of a bench or table.

• Switch off and unplug the fan before assembling, cleaning, or storing it.

• Avoid touching moving parts of the fan.

• Never insert fingers, pencils, or any other objects through the guards while the fan is connected to power.

• Do not operate in the presence of explosives and/or flammable fumes or liquids.

• Do not unplug the fan by pulling on the power cord; grasp the plug to disconnect.

• Keep the tower fan clean by following the provided cleaning instructions.

• To avoid electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your fan when it is in use.

Please adhere to these general electrical safety rules for your KAMBROOK KFA839:

• Fully unwind the power cord before use.

• Connect only to a 230V or 240V power outlet.

• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, power plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.

• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces, or become knotted.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

• Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

• Regularly inspect the appliance. Do not use it if the power cord, plug, or the appliance itself becomes damaged in any way.

• Position the appliance at a minimum distance of 20cm away from walls, curtains, and other heat or steam-sensitive materials.

• Do not place this appliance on or near a heat source, such as a hot plate, oven, or heater.

• Always turn the appliance to the OFF position, switch off at the power outlet, and unplug when not in use and before cleaning.

Before first use, you must assemble the base stand. Follow these steps:

1. Unpack the fan and ensure you have all parts, including the two base stand pieces and four screws.

2. Place the tower fan body on its side. Remove the 4 fastening screws from the underside of the fan and set them aside.

3. Take base stand piece (a). With its curved side facing the bottom of the fan body, align its screw posts with the corresponding posts on the fan. Push firmly to set it in place.

4. Secure base stand piece (a) with 2 of the fastening screws you set aside.

5. Take base stand piece (b). Position it so its curved side also faces the bottom of the fan body. Interlock the four locating posts on the straight edge of piece (b) with those on piece (a). Align the remaining two screw posts.

6. Firmly push down on base stand piece (b) until it is secure with piece (a). Secure it with the remaining 2 fastening screws.

7. Thread the power cord through the circular opening in the assembled base. Press the cord into the cord clip to secure it. Ensure the cord is not trapped between the base pieces and the fan body.

8. Return the tower fan to its upright position. It is now ready for use. Do not operate the fan without the base stand fitted.

To Turn On:

1. Plug the power cord into a 230V or 240V power outlet and switch the outlet on. The fan will enter ‘Standby’ mode, and the LED screen will illuminate to show the current room temperature.

2. Press the ‘POWER’ button once on the control panel or remote. The fan will start in NORMAL fan mode at the LOW speed setting.

To Turn Off:

1. Press the ‘POWER’ button again. The fan will stop operating.

2. For complete shutdown, turn the fan off at the power outlet and remove the plug.

The KAMBROOK KFA839 has three fan speed settings. After turning the fan on, you can cycle through the speeds by pressing the ‘SPEED’ button:

• Default/LOW Speed: When first turned on, the fan is at LOW speed.

• MEDIUM Speed: Press the ‘SPEED’ button once to change to MEDIUM speed.

• HIGH Speed: Press the ‘SPEED’ button a second time for HIGH speed.

• Return to LOW Speed: Press the ‘SPEED’ button a third time to return to LOW speed.

The speed indicator bar on the control panel will flash continuously to indicate the current setting.

The KAMBROOK KFA839 features three cooling modes. After turning the fan on, you can change the mode by pressing the ‘MODE’ button. The LED screen will indicate the selected mode.

• NORMAL Mode: This is the default mode when the fan is first switched on. The fan provides a constant airflow at the selected speed (Low, Medium, or High).

• NATURE Mode: Press the ‘MODE’ button once to select this mode. It simulates a natural breeze by automatically cycling the fan speed between low, medium, and high.

• REDUCTION Mode: Press the ‘MODE’ button twice to select this mode. This mode automatically decreases the fan speed over time.

To return to NORMAL mode from another mode, press the ‘MODE’ button until NORMAL mode is selected.

The NATURE mode on the KAMBROOK KFA839 is designed to simulate the natural rise and fall of wind. When this mode is selected, the fan automatically cycles through low, medium, and high speed settings to create a varied, breeze-like effect. This mode operates independently of the fan speed setting you may have manually selected, though the LED screen will continue to display the last selected fan speed.

To activate NATURE mode, press the ‘MODE’ button once. To turn it off and return to NORMAL operation, press the ‘MODE’ button twice.

The REDUCTION mode on the KAMBROOK KFA839 allows you to pre-select a speed variation that automatically decreases over time. This mode only applies when the fan is set to MEDIUM or HIGH speed.

To use it, first select either MEDIUM or HIGH fan speed, then press the ‘MODE’ button twice to enter REDUCTION mode. After 30 minutes, the fan speed will automatically drop to the next lowest setting. For example:

• If set at HIGH speed, it will drop to MEDIUM speed after 30 minutes, and then to LOW speed after another 30 minutes.

• If set at MEDIUM speed, it will drop to LOW speed after 30 minutes.

The fan will continue to operate at the LOW speed until it is manually turned off.

To turn REDUCTION mode off, press the ‘MODE’ button once to return to NORMAL operation.

The oscillation feature works in any mode and allows the fan to turn from side to side to distribute air over a wider area.

• To start oscillation, press the ‘OSC’ button once.

• To stop oscillation, press the ‘OSC’ button again.

The auto-off timer allows you to set the fan to automatically turn off after a pre-set number of hours. It works in all operating modes.

1. Press the ‘TIMER’ button to activate the timer settings.

2. Press the ‘TIMER’ button repeatedly to cycle through the time in one-hour increments, up to a maximum of 12 hours.

3. Once set, the fan will operate for the selected duration and then switch itself into standby mode.

The TIMER can be set on any of the fan’s settings.

Before using the remote control for the first time, you must remove the battery isolating slip by pulling it away from the remote. The remote control buttons (POWER, SPEED, MODE, TIMER, OSC) operate in the same way as those on the fan’s main control panel.

The remote includes one CR2025 3V Lithium battery. For convenience, the remote can be stored in the compartment on the top or at the rear housing of the tower fan.

The KAMBROOK KFA839 is fitted with a power-saving feature. When you select any of the 3 modes (NORMAL, NATURE, REDUCTION) or set the TIMER function, the LED display panel will automatically switch off after 30 seconds. The screen will then only dimly display the room temperature. To turn the full display back on, simply press any key on the control panel or remote.

Follow these steps for proper care, cleaning, and storage:

1. Before cleaning, ensure the tower fan is switched OFF, unplugged from the power outlet, and all parts have been allowed to cool.

2. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces of the tower fan. Do not immerse the fan in water or use harsh cleaning agents.

3. If dirt has collected inside the unit, have it cleaned by a qualified service agent. Do not attempt to open the case of the fan, as there are no customer-serviceable parts inside.

4. For storage, when the fan is not in use, store it (preferably in its original box) in a cool, clean, and dry location.
