Before operating your KAMBROOK KFA839GRY tower fan, please observe the following safety precautions:

• Carefully read all instructions before the first use and save them for future reference.

• Remove and safely discard all packaging material and promotional labels.

• To prevent a choking hazard for young children, remove and safely discard the protective cover on the power plug.

• This fan is for household use only, not for commercial or industrial use.

• Always switch off the fan and unplug it from the power outlet before assembling, cleaning, or storing.

• Avoid touching mobile parts of the fan.

• Do not place the fan near the edge of a bench or table. Ensure the surface is level, clean, and free of water.

• Ensure the fan is properly assembled before use as per the instructions.

• Do not leave the fan unattended when in use.

• Never insert fingers, pencils, or other objects through the guards when the fan is connected and switched on.

• The fan must not be used if the base is not fastened correctly.

• Do not operate in the presence of explosives and/or flammable fumes or liquids.

• Do not unplug the fan by pulling on the cord; grasp the plug to disconnect.

• Do not pull the cord around sharp edges or corners.

• To avoid an electrical circuit overload, it is recommended that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit as your fan when it is in use.

• Keep the tower fan clean by following the provided cleaning instructions.

• Fully unwind the power cord before use.

• Connect only to a 230V or 240V power outlet.

• Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a bench or table, touch hot surfaces, or become knotted.

• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid.

• This appliance is not for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless they have been given supervision or instruction.

• Supervise children to ensure they do not play with the appliance.

• Regularly inspect the appliance. Do not use it if the power cord, plug, or appliance becomes damaged in any way.

• Any maintenance other than cleaning should be performed at an authorized service center.

• This appliance is for household use only. Do not use it for anything other than its intended purpose. Do not use in moving vehicles or boats, or outdoors.

• It is recommended to install a residual current device (safety switch) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA for additional safety.

• Always turn the appliance to the OFF position, switch off at the power outlet, and unplug when not in use.

• Before cleaning, turn the appliance off, unplug it, and allow all parts to cool.

• Do not place the appliance on or near a heat source like a hot plate, oven, or heater.

• Position the appliance at a minimum distance of 20cm away from walls, curtains, and other heat or steam-sensitive materials, ensuring adequate space for air circulation.

The KAMBROOK KFA839GRY tower fan includes the following parts:

1. LED screen

2. Control panel featuring:

• POWER On/Off button

• Fan SPEED button (low, medium, high)

• MODE button (normal, nature, reduction)

• TIMER button (up to 12 hours)

• OSC button (oscillation)

3. Tower fan body

4. Remote control signal receiver

5. Oscillating platform

6. 2-piece base stand

7. Remote control with soft touch buttons

Also included but not numbered are remote control storage, a carry handle, and 4 screws to secure the base.

Follow these steps to assemble the base stand:

1. The base stand comes in two separate pieces.

2. Place the tower fan body on its side. Remove the 4 fastening screws from underneath the tower fan and set them aside.

3. Hold base stand piece (a) with the curved side facing the bottom of the fan body. Position the screw posts on piece (a) over the corresponding posts located underneath the fan body. Firmly push down to set it into place. Secure piece (a) with 2 of the fastening screws.

4. Position base stand piece (b) onto piece (a) by interlocking the four locating posts along the straight edge of each piece. Align the two remaining screw posts on the fan body with the posts on piece (b). Firmly push down until it is secured. Secure piece (b) with the 2 remaining fastening screws.

5. Thread the power cord through the circular cord opening in the base stand piece, pressing it into the cord clip to keep it secure. IMPORTANT: Make sure the power cord is not trapped between the base stand pieces and the tower fan body.

6. Return the tower fan to its upright position. It is now ready for use. IMPORTANT: Do not operate the tower fan without the base stand fitted.

Plug the power cord into a 230V or 240V electrical outlet and switch the outlet on. The fan will enter ‘Standby’ mode, and the LED screen will illuminate to display the current room temperature. To start the fan, press the ‘POWER’ button once. The unit will begin operating in NORMAL fan mode at the LOW speed setting.

The fan has three speed settings: LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH. After turning the fan on, it will be at the LOW speed setting.

• Press the ‘SPEED’ button once to change to MEDIUM speed.

• Press the ‘SPEED’ button a second time to change to HIGH speed. The speed indicator bar on the control panel will flash continuously on this cycle.

• Press the ‘SPEED’ button a third time to return to LOW speed. The speed indicator bar on the control panel will flash continuously on this cycle.

The KAMBROOK KFA839GRY has three modes: NORMAL, NATURE, and REDUCTION. The fan starts in NORMAL mode.

• Press the ‘MODE’ button once to select NATURE mode.

• Press the ‘MODE’ button a second time to select REDUCTION mode.

• Press the ‘MODE’ button a third time to return to NORMAL mode.

The LED screen will indicate which mode has been set.

The NATURE mode simulates the natural rise and fall of the wind over time by automatically cycling the fan speed between low, medium, and high. This self-regulating mode is independent of the manually selected fan speed setting, although the LED screen will still display the last selected fan speed. To turn off NATURE mode, press the MODE button twice to return the fan to NORMAL operation mode.

The REDUCTION mode allows you to pre-select a fan speed that automatically decreases over time. This mode only applies when the fan is set to MEDIUM or HIGH speed.

• To activate, select either MEDIUM or HIGH fan speed, then press the MODE button twice to enter REDUCTION mode.

• After 30 minutes, the selected speed will drop to the next lowest setting. For example, if the fan speed is set at MEDIUM, after 30 minutes it will drop to LOW and remain there until manually turned off. If set at HIGH, it will drop to MEDIUM after 30 minutes, then to LOW after another 30 minutes.

• To turn off REDUCTION mode, press the MODE button once to return the fan to NORMAL operation mode.

This function works in any mode. Press the ‘OSC’ button on the control panel or remote to allow the tower fan to oscillate from side to side. To stop the unit from oscillating, press the ‘OSC’ button once more.

The auto-off timer function works in all operating modes and switches the fan to standby mode after a pre-set number of hours.

• Press the ‘TIMER’ button to activate the timer settings.

• Press the ‘TIMER’ button repeatedly to cycle through the one-hour increments, up to a maximum of 12 hours.

• The tower fan will then switch itself to standby mode after the selected number of hours has passed.

Your KAMBROOK KFA839GRY tower fan is equipped with a power-saving feature. When you select any of the three mode types (NORMAL, NATURE, REDUCTION) or set the timer function, the LED display panel will automatically switch off after 30 seconds. The screen will then only dimly display the temperature. To turn the display fully on again, simply press any key on the control panel or remote.

Before using the remote control for the first time, remove the battery isolating slip by pulling it away from the remote. The buttons on the remote control operate in the same way as those on the tower fan’s main control panel. The remote includes one CR2025 3V Lithium battery and can be conveniently stored in the compartment on the top of the tower fan or at the rear housing of the unit.

1. Ensure the tower fan is switched OFF and disconnected from the power outlet before cleaning.

2. Use a clean, dry cloth to clean the external surfaces of the tower fan. If the fan has collected dirt inside the unit, have it cleaned by a qualified service agent. Do not operate the tower fan in this condition.

3. Do not attempt to open the case of the tower fan at any time as there are no customer-serviceable parts inside.

4. When not in use, store the tower fan (preferably in its original box) in a cool, clean, and dry location.
