What is the purpose of the JOHN DEERE BM17650 Hydraulic Angling Kit?

The JOHN DEERE BM17650 Angling Kit is installed on the Front Hitch when attaching a blade or broom to your tractor. This allows the blade or broom to pivot side to side by moving the top hydraulic lever on the console.

The parts in the JOHN DEERE BM17650 kit are:

A – Cylinder Assembly

B – Short Drilled Pin

C – Large Cotter Pin

D – Long Drilled Pin

E – Small Cotter Pin

How do I install the cylinder assembly for the JOHN DEERE BM17650?

1. Remove the front hitch from the tractor.

2. Fasten the fixed end of the cylinder to the hitch with the short drilled pin (B) and the large cotter pin (C).

3. Fasten the rod end of the cylinder to the hitch with the long drilled pin (D) and the small cotter pin (E).


How do I route and connect the hoses for the JOHN DEERE BM17650 kit?

1. Route the hoses on the outside of the hitch, through the hose guide, and back to the hydraulic couplers.

2. Put the tie strap (A) around the four hoses.

NOTE: The hose connectors have colored plastic bands. Follow the decal chart on the footrest for connecting the hoses to the hydraulic couplers.

3. Connect the hose connectors to the hydraulic couplers.

4. Put the dust cap ends together to keep the ends clean.
