To set up the unit:

1. Remove the white protective needle cover by gently pulling it towards the front of the unit.

2. Remove any packaging materials from the unit.

3. Connect the AC power cord to a wall outlet.

For basic operation:

1. Turn the Volume Knob clockwise to turn the unit ON and adjust the volume to the desired level.

2. Press the Function button to select Radio (FM or AM), CD, Phono, or Bluetooth.

3. Note that connecting headphones (not included) via the 3.5mm Headphone Jack cuts off sound from all speakers.

1. Press the FUNCTION button to select the PHONO function. The PHONO indicator will light up.

2. Select the player speed (33, 45, or 78).

3. Put a record onto the turntable. Use the 45 RPM adaptor if needed.

4. Uplift the lift handle.

5. Slide the Auto Turn / Auto Stop Switch to select auto turn or auto stop.

6. When the record has finished playing, the TONE ARM will stop at the center of the record and must be returned to the armrest manually.

Auto Turn: Slide the switch on the AUTO position. When the record reaches its end, the turntable will keep turning.

Auto Stop: Slide the switch to the STOP position. When the record reaches the end, the turntable will stop turning.

Note: When playing a 45 or 78 RPM record, it is recommended to switch the Auto/Stop switch on AUTO position for greater performance.

1. Press the FUNCTION button to select the CD function.

2. Press the OPEN/CLOSE (Eject) button to open the tray, and place the CD on the tray.

3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE button again to close the tray. The CD will start playing automatically from the first track.

4. To stop playback, press the STOP button.

5. To pause, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. Press it again to restart playback.

6. To skip tracks, press the Previous or Next Track buttons. Pressing the Previous button once goes back to the start of the current track; pressing it twice goes to the previous track.

7. To fast forward or rewind, press and hold the Next or Previous buttons, respectively. Release to stop.

1. In the stopped state, press the MEMORY button. The Program LED will illuminate and the LCD display will flash “01”.

2. Press the Previous or Next buttons to select the desired tracks.

3. Press the MEMORY button to repeat this step to program tracks. You can program up to 20 tracks.

4. When all tracks are set, press the MEMORY button and “FI” will appear on the display.

5. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start program playback.

6. To delete the program function, press the STOP button.

1. Press the FUNCTION button to select the AM/FM tuning function.

2. Turn the RADIO TUNER KNOB to tune to the desired frequency.

3. For optimal FM reception, stretch the built-in FM antenna wire located at the lower back of the unit and move it around until the station is received clearly.

1. Press the Function button to select Bluetooth mode.

2. Set the Bluetooth function on your external device to ON.

3. Search for a Bluetooth device on your external device.

4. Select “V50-200” on your paired devices list.

5. If asked for a password, type in “0000” or “1234” then press “OK” on your external device.

6. A few seconds later, your Bluetooth connection should be achieved.

Note: The effective distance is 10 meters (33 ft).

1. Plug one end of an AUX-IN cable (not included) into the AUX-IN jack on the back of the unit.

2. Plug the other end of the cable into the headphone jack of the external audio source (iPod, MP3 Player, etc.).

3. Note that when inserting an AUX-IN cable, only the VOLUME knob on the INNOVATION TECHNOLOGY VICTROLA V50-200 will work. All other operations are available only on your external device.

The stylus should last about 50 hours under normal use. To replace it:

Removing the old stylus:

1. Set a screwdriver at the tip of the stylus and push downward.

2. Remove the stylus by pulling it simultaneously downward and forward.

Installing a new stylus:

1. Hold the front tip of the stylus and insert its rear edge first.

2. Push the stylus upwards until the tip locks into place.

Caution: Do not bend the stylus and do not touch the needle to avoid injury. Turn off power before replacing.

Compact Disc Handling:

Always place the disc with the label side facing upward.

To remove a disc from its case, press down on the center and lift the disc upward, holding it by its edges.

Clean discs by wiping from the center hole outward towards the outer edge with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use chemical sprays or fluids.

Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, or high temperatures.

Do not use irregularly shaped CDs.

Handling Vinyl Records:

Do not touch the record’s grooves. Only handle records by the edges or the label.

To clean a record, use a soft anti-static cloth to gently wipe the surface.

Keep records in their protective sleeves when not in use and store them upright.

Avoid placing records in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

1. Insert the Audacity software disk into your computer’s CD ROM Drive.

2. Go to My Computer, double click the CD ROM Drive, and select “Audacity-for-win” for Windows systems.

3. Double click the “audacity-win-2.1.2” file to install the software.

4. Select the setup language and click OK.

5. Follow the Audacity Setup Wizard instructions (Click Next, verify destination folder, select additional tasks like creating a desktop icon).

6. Click “Install” to start installation.

7. Click Finish to complete the installation and launch Audacity.

1. Click “Edit” on the Audacity interface and select “Preferences”.

2. Click “Devices” on the left side.

3. Under “Recording”, select “Device” and choose “USB PnP Audio Device”.

4. Under “Recording”, select “Channels” and choose “2 (Stereo)”.

5. Click “Recording” on the left side.

6. Check the box beside “Software Playthrough: Listen while recording or monitoring new track”.

7. Click OK to save settings.

1. Place the record on the turntable.

2. Move the tone arm over the record to start playing.

3. Click the Record button (red dot icon) in Audacity to start recording. Waves will appear on the interface.

4. At the end of the song, click “Pause” on the computer and press the Stop button on the turntable.

5. To record the next song, replace the album or move the tone arm. Press Play on the turntable and unpause Audacity.

6. When finished downloading all songs, click the Stop button (yellow square) in Audacity.

Before exporting to MP3, you must find the “lame_enc.dll” file:

1. Click “Edit” then “Preferences” and select “Libraries”.

2. Click “Locate” next to MP3 Library. If the program does not show the library, click “Download” to open the website.

3. Download the “lame” software (libmp3lame-win-3.99.3.zip), extract it, and save “lame_enc.dll”.

4. Return to Audacity, click “Browse” in the Locate Lame box, and select the “lame_enc.dll” file you saved.

To Export:

1. Highlight the audio you wish to save.

2. Click “File” then “Export Selected Audio”.

3. Select “MP3 Files” as the “Save as type”.

4. Enter the file name and click “Save”.

5. Fill in the Metadata information if desired and click “OK”.

Installation:

1. Insert the software disk and select the “Audacity_for_mac” folder.

2. Double click the “audacity-macosx-ub-2.1.2.dmg” file.

3. Drag the Audacity folder/icon to the Applications shortcut.

4. Double click the Audacity icon to start the software.

Configuration:

1. Click “Audacity” in the menu bar and select “Preferences”.

2. Under “Devices”, set the Recording Device to “USB PnP Audio Device”. Set Channels to “2 (Stereo)”.

3. Under “Recording”, check “Software Playthrough”.

4. Under “Quality”, select Default Sample Rate “44100 Hz” and Format “16-bit”.

No Sound:

1. Ensure “USB PnP Audio Device” is selected as the recording device in Preferences.

2. Perform a Power Cycle: Close Audacity, turn off the turntable, unplug the USB cable, plug it back in, turn on the turntable, and reopen Audacity.

3. Check the microphone slider in Audacity is at full volume.

4. On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Sound > Input. Select “USB PnP Audio Device” and adjust the Input volume.

Poor Sound Quality:

1. Ensure the stylus is secured to the tone arm.

2. Ensure RCA plugs are not touching bare metal to avoid interference.

3. Close other applications and restart the computer if odd sounds occur.
